“worst holiday ever”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2012

the hotel was quite nice. it was kept clean constantly. pool area was very slippey in bare feet or not.beach ha ha seen more sand at a builders yard. plenty of sunbeds at beach area its more of a cliff really but ther is loads of gazebo type parasols and a bar. this hotel is for russians and muslims. it is no way catered for english people. the food was inedible. i lived on fresh tomatoes and melon for ten days.my wife thought it was ok at times but we both lost weight due to lack of food. the other guests at this hotel are rude obnoxious and have no manners what so ever. they will barge to the front of food counters and the bars and grunt or shout at staff to be served. this is men women and kids, the staff are so friendly to the english even if we were the only english couple for first 5 days. the entertainment was crap unless you could understand russian and egyptian. it is a nice hotel with good staff and the gardens are really nice the gardeners dont stop. if you do go here tip the bar staff a few pound and they will look after you. in the draw in your room ther is a yellow pages with kfc and mc donalds and tou can phone in and they will deliver.( found out about this at end of holiday) .... basicly book a english friendly hotel . good luck if you end up here. ps our air con worked but was louder than a industrial hair dryer. so you can turn it off and sweat all night or leave it on and be deafend.

I spend 6 Nights at this hotels, the service was very bad, Most of the stuff give us the bad face in the communication with us, they gave us the drinks in small plastic cup ( the suitable size for children) to dink water or coke, you need to get 2 cup, to got most of the service, you must stand in a row till you get your service, There was less in stuff in most of the sections ( the restaurant, the snacks places, room service )

Although the reviews are not that good, I found it an amazing one, I visited it in 2011 and I really enjoyed my stay there, the pool was clean and not so shallow like most hotels' pools, the food quality was good and various types introduced everyday, the staff were so helpful especially the room service, the rooms were not so big but accepted, I checked in in a minute.
one more point the hotel location is so good as it's located in Shark bay so near to Soho square and beside savoy hotel

it is a good place, I stayed there 2 nights with 3 days, the first thing I enjoyed there is the friendly staff, they serve you in a very kind way, the second thing is food, there is variety and good quality in food. also between every two meals there is a light meal, the rooms are big and clean. over all the place is very good and you should visit.

we r just back from 2 wks AI in AA Grand Oasis was expecting more from hotel since it was refurbished last year but think all the money was spent on reception and lobby area which i outstanding but rooms were average and basic with no tea/coffee facilities (was stated ) .
on a positive note the staff couldnt do more for u Esam our cleaner was great and left wee cute animals made form our towels and extra pillows on request , sharaf the waiter in the lobby bar was great to wen we entered he had our drinks b4 we even sat down and el karim in poll area kept our beds for us every day and all u had to do was give them a wee tip .
as for our rep from hotels4you we have still to meet him (waste of space) i had to make contact with him cos he didnt get in touch with us .
the food in resturant was just repetative and as for the italian resturant was a waste of time (didnt try the others went to soho instead)
well worth going for massage and treatment it was excellent and well worth the money :-)

Th AA grand oasis gives you value for your money. We went in the high season and stayed there for 1 week for 750 euro's p.p.
The rooms were nice and very clean, the pool and beach were good and the staff was wunderfull. All of them very friendly. It was very hot during our stay so the airco in our room could not handle that. But after a few days we got used to that. There was a large bottle,of water in our room every day. The only disadvantage was that if you wanted to drink wine in the evening or at the pool, it was not included, you had to,pay for it.it was only available at lunch and time.
10 minutes from the hotel there is a nice modern shopping area with live music in the weekend and there was a hotelbus available to go to na'aam bay or the old market.
Last but not least: the food: there are a lot of hotels where the food is better, there was not a lot of choise but the quality was reasonable, considering the amount you payed the holiday.
We had a lovely holiday in a very clean hotel with a very friendly staff.

Room Tip: If you want to spend your days at the beach, ask for a room near the beach, it is quit a walk from t...

Ok we were I'll , I mean I'll . I had an upset stomache to put it mildly and my partner she had sickness as well , and i seen others holding there stomache in pain.We were constantly bothered around the pool and at the
Beech to buy buy buy , and every day it was a different price .in the restaurant people mainly Muslims and Egyptians pushed past to get to the food , it was a feeding frenzy , the food piled up on the tables and was only ever half eaten , such a waist . The air conditioning didn't work when we arrived , there was no extraction fan working in the bathroom so it constantly smelt bad,and they don't like the English or ever want you back , the entertainment was non existent for English , the beer was undrinkable And the shorts ie vodka etc all had the same tinge , funny taste with them . I've only scratched the surface here today on how bad this place is , choose another hotel At least , better still try another country , hope this helps .
