““Another great stay””
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013

Again we had a great stay here it was our second time, we didn’t want to leave.
I would like to thank Mr. Ashraf Adel for his great effort &hospitality to enjoy our time there & Many thanks to Reception Manager Mr. Hassan EL Robby and his staff they were more than helpful even to people not so nice to them.
Food
Food was great with different and plenty of tasty dishes which is suitable for several people .
Rooms~
The rooms were both tidy and clean and the air conditions were excellent. The room was cleaned everyday to a high standard and the bathroom was large enough for all of us.
Pool~
The pool and surrounding area was kept to a high standard and every night and morning a team of workers could be seen scrubbing and cleaning.
Beach
we spent one day on the beach and it was easy to find beds and shade
Shows
Every day there was different night show so u never feel bored or need to go out the resort also there was a daily animation show for kids and cinema
The hotel was beautiful spotless clean and the staff do more than their best to help
Cannot fault the hotel and the gardens are lovely. I would recommend this hotel to everyone and families especially.
Keep up the great work and see you all next year.

Room Tip: Rooms @ recption building are large

ive travelled many places over the world and this was something else.there are two teams off animation one for international and then there is the bravo team for the italians omg what rude individuals they are they will not speak to any one bar italians they take over the whole complex they have the nice heated pool at bottom of the complex whilst every one else has the freezing pool complete with building works .the noise is unbelieveable the dust coming across the pool was like clouds, this is no joke its true.when we complained we were told that it was only for a few days well i think this work will go on for at least another 6 month, and the reason the work is being done is for the italians to have posh rooms .
animation team .great at both nubian village and island, dudie great girl puts every thing into her job, charlie makes every one welcome what ever nationality.lily like chats about your country and your dancing.sam real fun person watch his fire show amazing. shams good fun always ready for a laugh.good job we had them to keep us happy.
i think if you went there in a big group you would make own entertainment ,however not place for families and couples .because the italians have privilege and take over there is no where for english to go as over crowded and no entertainment for most off the night you get hour 9.30 til 10.30 we are made to feel left out and segregated by bravo team and customers .i was on the beach and told to leave as i was not italian i told them where to go.
food ok ish however quality did go down in a few days of being there.
thomson /firstchoice are aware off this hotel there is the nubian island which has better rooms and very quite but when you are told its family hotel and plenty off things to do that is a lie. however to be honest you will get bored as nothing to do .up to you if you want this sort off holiday however you have been warned .
im not sure if these reviews are true as it is nothing like i experienced ,filthy rooms ,poor food quality always cold, building works,no pool,

Jus got back last night an it was 1 of the best holidays ever, only 2 negative things is that wen we arrived no one came over to tell us were we were goin or 2 sort our luggage, there was no kettle or cups I our room bt they got one 2 us quick an changed our room to a ground floor when we asked, the other negative was the devide between the italians an the rest of the hotel, the italian anamation are just as ignorant an not friendly at all with us or our kids so we pulled them up about this, but our animation team were lovely an the entertainment was better than what I thought it would be an sam was fab when he done the fire show, bar staf at both pools an in the lobby were fab azwell especially mohammed an the little one in the lobby at night,we didn't evan aske 4 our drinks an he got them so I highly reccomend this hotel,oh an the food is lovly bt would take some of me own bits 4 kids next time

It was mainly due to the ridiculous price of flights to Bangkok that prevented my partner and I from venturing to our favourite Indo China destinations.
So out of a desire to travel and go to somewhere different with some sun we ended up in Sharm, it took some convincing mind as I am not one for sat around doing nothing, but the price helped and indeed the opportunity to try a cruise the following week, once again not my first choice.

So after much deliberation we booked the Nubian Village for 1 week and a Thomson Red Sea Cruise the following week.

The hotel was excellent, very clean and not in the least bit shabby. The grounds were excellent as was the beach which again was clean with plenty of sunbeds.
Rooms were cleaned daily and our chap was very helpful and went beyond the call of duty to help when asked.

Food was wonderful as were the choices which remained varied the entire week, we stayed during New Year and the food and displays on the gala evening were spectacular. Although the service is buffet style there were never any shortage of waiters fetching your drink orders.

The hotel did its best to provide evening entertainment but this was not our cup of tea and to be honest was pretty dire. We ventured out to the bars near TGI Fridays, I would recommend the Three Crowns nearby .. great atmosphere and after some haggling and arm waving it was just a few quid in a taxi or a 25 minute walk.

There are many mentions of the Russians on these reviews, yes some are rude and abrupt and dont know the meaning of please and thank you, but hey thats their problem and it did not spoil our holiday. In fact it added some childish amusement to our own after dinner entertainment as we watched the Russians cramming vast amounts of food onto dinner plates, one family in particular got their charming kids (not) to go and fill their plates with food from the BBQ. The quantity of kebabs on that plate and the way it was balanced was a miracle of modern engineering from someone so young, that kid will build bridges one day.
Do our Soviet friends not have Coco-Pops in their homeland, if so the guy who ate 6 huge bowls for breakfast doesn’t know where to buy them.
The other game we played was guess who is going home that night, all I can say is that there must be a shortage of oranges in Russia. The amount of fruit taken out in bags and ruksacs would crack most scales at the airport weigh-in, never mind the cost of excess baggage.
Yes the Russians can be a pain if you let them .. clearly we didn’t.

Sharm itself isnt a pretty place and other than a few bars as mentioned there isnt a lot to go there for. A lot of people never strayed from the hotel due to the hassle you get from pushy taxi drivers and shop owners, just ignore them and walk on. They mean you know harm they have not yet sussed out that when they hassle they push you away. We ventured to the old market one day, which is worth a trip, go late in the day (£13 return by taxi)
As for other activities to add variety we went quad biking in the desert which was great fun and I went diving which was excellent as was Ocean College who looked after me on their wonderful boat, great day out and great guys .. well recommended.

Warning .. do not go on a camel, its one price to get on it, its several times as much to get off it. Dont even take a photo of them. Its a rip off and one that we witnessed as a family visibly upset tried to negotiate themselves out of a costly 5 minute ride for their 2 children

Would I go back to Sharm .. no there is no need, not enough to do and I feel I have “done it” Its a beach and hotel holiday, I have no regrets having done it, but I want more and was soon looking forward to our cruise the following week.

We spent 10 days here our 1st Xmas break and the staff were so friendly and polite we have been to sharm 5 times each time a different hotel and this was the best service and food, my daughter is a vegetarian and the chefs put themselves out to make her dishes what she fancied and she said they were all very good.

The only down side was when a lot of Italians came 2 days before Xmas the animation team took over the whole ares of the heated pool and were very loud and only included the Italian guests so instead of alternating our days round the 2 pools we stayed at the other the animation there were brilliant but it had been nice to sit by the other pool near the beach all the english guests were not happy this was allowed to happen
