As they say if you can't handle the heat stay out of... Egypt! Hot hot hot at 42 degrees in the shade!

Beautiful clear seas with the beach and beautifully maintained gardens are right at your feet.

Our room was cleaned and furnished to a very high standard, with a few lovely touches such as a jet bath, coloured lighting and even a radio system linked up to the main tv so you could listen (sing) in the shower. The view as beautiful as the sea was, was a little disappointing due to building work around the hotel - this was not active may I add.

All 4 restaurants were very good, the food was very high quality. The stonegrill restaurant, not part of your all inclusive, is definitely worth doing you can cook your own steak just how you like it and is a great opportunity for some great holiday snaps!

The reception lounge bar has the friendliest waiter, Emad, he cannot do enough for you - I am very fussy when it comes to cocktails and some werent to my taste but, after a bit of banter, he would reassure me it's fine if I don't like it and could try something else. He made us feel very welcome and is definitely a credit to the hotel! As is Amed who works by the main pool serving drinks, he greeted us every morning with a big smile and again couldn't do enough for us, personally working outside in 45 degree sunshine is too much, but you wouldn't think it by his work ethic. These two were definitely the best staff throughout the hotel, and my partner and I both said how we would love people like this to work in our customer service teams back home as they really are such a credit to the hotel.

We upgraded on arrival from a superior family room to a swim up suite. This cost us 60 USD a night extra. Very cheap compared to what Thomson charge.

First impressions of the hotel were wow!!

Our suite (1102) was spacious, 2 sofas in the living area for beds for my 2 children which were very comfortable. The bathroom was nice but some mould in areas. The swim up pool was great and had fantastic views out to the beach. In the afternoon the pool did become in the shade and was a bit chilly so at this time of day we either went to the beach or one of the other hotel pools. Our mini bar was supposed to be stocked every day as part of the room upgrade and it wasn't. My husband had to ring to get it done.

My mum travelled with us and stayed in room 1331, over looking the tennis courts and Baron shops. This room was decorated same as the others but with no sea view.

Service throughout the hotel was very hit and miss. They were either very friendly or incredibly rude. I think you had to be regulars to a particular pool/area and have tipped to get great service here.

Avoid steak in the Tiran diner. It was awful. Italian restaurant was by far the best. I personally didn't like the Egyptian. Fountain View was fine, plenty of choice but busy at times.

Kids entertainment in the evening was excellent. Claire & Tom were great. My kids loved it.

We did enjoy our holiday. Would I go here again? Probably not. I don't think this hotel is much more exceptional than other hotels in sharm to justify the ridiculous costs. We stayed at the Reef Oasis Blue Bay 3 years ago and thought this hotel was by far better value for money. The only thing I love about Sensatori is the swim up rooms.

We (my mum & I) returned early this morning after spending a week in paradise!

We booked extra legroom seats as the flight last year was cramped and uncomfortable (and I'm only 5ft!). Arrival at Sharm airport was the usual chaos with officials directing hundreds of people into different queues. Having said that we exited the airport quite quickly.

The Rep put our room number on our cases at the bus and that was the last we saw of them until we got to our room at the hotel. The check-in at reception was quick and efficient. We were then shown to the restaurant for something to eat. When we came out the porter was waiting with the golf buggy to take us to our room and gave us a guided tour on the way.

We had room 3137 in the adults swim up section. The room was lovely, 2 large beds and plenty of room for the 2 of us but I do feel it may have been a bit cramped if there had been 3 adults. The sofa in the room was really uncomfortable and could have done with being replaced but who really cares when you can open your patio door to paradise!

It is a real let down that there is only one sun lounger on the terrace and this really needs to b addressed by the hotel and Thomsons, especially as you pay a large premium for the swim up room! The pool and grounds are really well looked after with beautiful plants all round the resort. Having the swim up was fab and I would highly recommend as you don't need to be up at silly o'clock to bag yourself sun loungers at the main pools.

We ate at the Tiran and Casa Bianca restaurants and both were fabulous. We had no problem booking tables and no queuing to use the booking machines (we went after the welcome meeting and got tables at 7pm for the next 2 nights). The food in the Fountain View was also excellent and we always found something to eat. The desserts are to die for!!

The real reason this hotel deserves 10 stars is down to the staff, I have never been to a hotel anywhere with staff as friendly as this resort. From the managers to the ground staff they were all so friendly, we never once encountered a surly member of staff. They all took the time to chat and have a laugh with you. Mohammed and Hassan at the adult pool bar did a great job of keeping us supplied with drinks and bottles of cold water and lots of laughs. The guys in the lobby bar were also excellent (sorry can't remember names). One kept saying everything is lovely jubbly and had us in stitches the whole time. They also remembered your drinks and brought them over without you asking. The restaurant staff were also great and took the time to chat despite the restaurant being busy. This had nothing to do with tipping as we didn't tip any of them until the last day of our holiday. They are just genuinely nice people.

We loved it so much we are going to try and change the holiday we have booked for September to this hotel instead of the holiday village, fingers crossed we can but if not we will definitely be back next year.

We stayed at the sensatori sharm from 25th May to 1 st June. The hotel resort is amazing, so beautiful and relaxing. We stayed in a pool view room over looking the family pool, even though we were two adults there was no noise from the children.
We could not fault anything, the food was nice, plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from and no need to queue to book the restaurants even in half term week. The entertainment was good, British acts were very talented.
The service is what makes this hotel 5 star, the staff cannot do enough for you no matter what time of the day!
The only negative thing was the upset tummy that we got on day 6.
But we can't wait go go back.

Room Tip: We had a family room for 2, so it was lovely and big

Dear IlfracombeKV,

Thank you for your review.

Unfortunately some guests do report upset stomachs whilst on holiday, which can be caused by a range of factors. We have an onsite clinic where you can obtain medication and we strongly recommend any guest to visit the clinic on the first day of experiencing symptoms, whereby any problems can be cleared up swiftly and you can continue to enjoy your holiday, which is our number one priority.

This was a cheeky week away (minus our daughters!!) to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. The Sensatori is a fantastic hotel and is worthy of its 5 star status. We enjoy nice hotels, holidays and service and the Sensatori delivered. I will break this review down into sections in order to keep it concise and helpful.

⚫ Sharm Airport - what a nightmare. Thomson explained nothing about the customs process and you are left to your own devices. We all ended up taking positions in queues that were not necessary if you did not want a visa. In simple terms, if you plan to stay within Sinai enter the airport and turn right and queue only at the passport control. You do not need to get your card stamped. Similarly, upon our departure the airport was absolute chaos - just join any Thomson queue (there is no need to queue at your destination airport desk).

⚫ The Sensatori - quite simply excellent. I could go on forever and a day so feel free to email me if you have any specific queries. We were allocated room 3226 in the adult only section. This room was fab and overlooked the quiet adult pool and was complemented with a sea view and a view of Tiran Island. The hotel complex is spotlessly clean and there was never any feeling of over-crowdedness or 'Brits boozing abroad'.

If you wish to retain your room until 6pm it costs approximately £45 ($70 US Dollars) via the hotel reception which is considerably cheaper than booking it through Thomson (£89!!!!!). Considering the times of the vast majority of flights, you could argue that for a 5 star hotel, this should automatically be included in your booking?!

⚫ The Staff. Fantastic and so friendly. They work tirelessly to ensure that you have a great time, nothing is too much trouble. We would like to make mention of a few members of staff and hope that the Sensatori management acknowledge them.
Ahmed - 'the jetty lifeguard' - for retrieving my hubby's wedding ring from the coral bed!
Kawthar - hostess at Casa Bianca - always smiling & very helpful.
Ahmed - 'Omelette Man' - for making great omelettes every morning with a smile.
Adult pool waiters / towel issuers - nothing was ever too much trouble.

⚫ Food & Drink. The food was very good in all of the restaurants that we dined at.

The Fountain View Restaurant - great for breakfast & lunch. Food is fresh & plentiful albeit slightly repetitive in the evening.

Casa Bianca is the Italian restaurant (pre-bookable). Food is of a very high standard and the restaurant was never too busy. We ate here 3 times and the service was exceptional. My hubby had also ordered flowers from reception to be presented to me here, and they were beautiful.

Tiran Diner (on the beach). Good burgers at lunch and Tex-Mex in the evening. The Tiran Diner needs only to be booked for the evening.

The Clubhouse - afternoon tea & strawberry milkshakes - yes please!! A selection of little tasty cakes between 5pm & 6pm daily. A great place to chill after a day in the sun.

Drinks - plentiful and served to you, whether it be whilst dining or sunning yourself by the pool or on the beach. HOWEVER - the complementary house wine is poor. The choice is white, rose or red. They all taste very similar. It would have been nice, at a 5 star hotel, to have a little choice!

⚫ Snorkelling - out of this world. Even if you don't like the idea of snorkelling try and give it a go off the jetty. By walking along the jetty you will be able to see all matter of beautiful sea life.

⚫ Excursions. We booked an Ultimate Desert Experience through Falcon Adventures (see our other review) which was brilliant and hassle free. Once again, Thomson's prices were not competitive.

In summary - a fantastic place and we would like to return with our children next year.

I have previously been to a Sensatori hotel (Crete) and Sharm before, both were put into the shade by comparsion of this hotel. It was spotless, faultless and the best holiday we've had. When we arrived we were greeted with a drink and cold flannel and check in was extremely swift. We were taken to our room and then as we were on a late flight we went straight to the Fountain View restaurant (buffet) restaurant for dinner. The next day we secured sunbeds at the kids splash pool which is by the reception. The welcome meeting was informative and not too long. My son is diabetic and I had emailed ahead to ask Thomson if we could secure set times in the resturants as he needs to eat at certain times and this was already arranged for the first 3 nights of our stay rotating between restaurants. I was also introduced the the Food and Beverages Manager who was keen to ensure that we were able to eat in different restaurants despite the prescriptive times due to my sons medical condition, excellent customer service on behalf of Thomson and Sensatori. All the restaurants served amazing food that you would expect to spend a fortune on at home. We also paid for the hot stones restaurants which had beautiful views and the food again was very very good, just drink soft drinks whilst there as the alcohol can be expensive.
Yes a couple of days I got up at 7am to get 3 sunbeds at the main pool, but that was my choice as I could equally get up at 9am and secure sunbeds on the beach or at the splash pool, and I was there during the childrens holidays. The Splash pool, despite being a childrens area was in our opinion quieter than the main pool. The staff were amazing, special mention to Ahmed and Mahmoud and the guys who manned the slides (couple of slides in this pool too), the bar staff were friendly, remembered your drinks and brought then to your sunbeds (a perk at every pool and the beach for Sensatori - at the main pool you also got cold flannels and fresh fruit cut up and passed out in containers).
I went to Yoga and Pilates on the beach in the mornings which was lovely and chilled and a brilliant start to the day, my son went to football every evening 5-6.
I also went to the Spa and had a foot massage and facial which was the most amazing treatment that I have ever had, I actually fell asleep!
The pianist and guitar player (James and John) were the perfect end to the evening, I used to chill with my partner and 12 year old son listening to current and past hits being played.
The room was spotless and cleaned ever day by our amazing cleaner, we had a mini fridge which was perfect for my son's medication, fresh water ever day, towels etc. Mood lighting in the bathroom and the TV has a volume control in the bathroom so we could hear music in the bathroom.
You do not need to take any beach towels as you get given towel cards which you give into the towel stations each morning and you get fresh towels and simply hand them back at the end of the day and then pick them up again the next morning. In theory too you do not need shampoo, conditioner or body lotion either. In your room you also get an ironing board, iron and dressing gown and slippers.
We went on the 007 speed boat trip, which the boat was a little under par of a 007 speedboat it was an amazing trip for 3 of us for £90. 2 hours scooting around the sea with 2 1/2 hours of snorkelling with two guides, one pointing out the fish ( we saw clown fish, crocodile fish, sting ray, my son held a jelly fish which the guide told us would not sting, and various others) and another taking photos of us. We also went to another dive which is the 4th best coral reef in the world. They then drove out to sea to see if we could see dolphins, unfortunately we couldn't but as we were in open water they let my 12 year old son steer the boat, under their instuction. For another £30 we got a DVD with all the photos which is a lovely for memories of the trip.
I knew Sensatori was amazing from my previous trip to Crete but Sharm surpassed all expectations, we are Sensatori fans and will be going back next year for our honeymoon. Thank you for giving us a wonderful holiday and we look forward to coming back.

Room Tip: If you want to be near the splash room go for a room like 4129, very quiet too and close to receptio...
