“My number one favourite hotel in the world”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2013

This resort is like no other, a very unique place, one of a kind.

You will enjoy the simple fact of just walking around this place and checking out the scenery.

Staff are brilliant, great entertainers.
Multiple fine dining restaurants.

Multiple pools, absolutely magnificent layout and design.
Great rooms comfortable beds.

Out of this world snorkelling experience absolutely magical.

Overall too divine for words alone to describe. Pick a time around a full moon and this could be your ultimate romantic getaway.

My husband and I have just returned from a 2 weeks all inclusive holiday at the Hilton Waterfalls. We have been to Egypt nine times, this was our first visit to this particular hotel in Sharm El Sheikh and we most definitely will be returning again next year. The staff are brilliant and do all they can to make your holiday a wonderful experience, nothing is too much trouble. The animation term were great Mikey thank you from who you called daddy and mummy, also Bono and the girls an absolute delight they always made you welcome even if you did not want to join in, as my husband and myself were happy to laze by the pool and enjoy a drink in the evening in one of the bars available. The food was good and there was always something to temp you, restaurant staff very professional thanking Ahmed Tahon, Ahmed Aziz . The bedroom was cleaned daily and fresh towels given, the hotel is kept beautifully clean.
I must add we enjoyed what we re-named the pope- mobile taking us backwards and forwards to the pool. Can't wait to see you all again in March 2014

Just returned from a week's holiday at this fab hotel, absolutely loved every minute of it. This was my 2nd time in Sharm but this was by far the better hotel (previously stayed in Marriott Mountain).

First of all the staff make this hotel! They absolutely work their butts off and still manage to do it with a smile! I'm appalled at the reviews of people saying about being annoyed about tipping these guys - they bend over backwards for you, the least you can do is tip them! Special thanks to Mohamed Samir (the buggy guy) such a lovely friendly guy! :) Also Mohamed Awwad (reception) very friendly and so lovely! Thanks for putting up with our drunken chat and requests to phone McDonalds at 3am! :) Also thanks to Amir at reception too, so helpful and thanks for the info about Pacha and Little Buddha! :) Thanks to the 2 barmen at Cafe Shalalat (sorry can't remember your names!) but thanks for keeping us supplied with pink ladies and pina coladas! :) Thanks to Mahmoud Gamel our cleaner for our room (2716). Your towel art was fabulous and you keep the place spotless! We won't forget you, and we hope to return one day!!

Secondly - the food. I cannot understand how anyone can complain about the food here. We thought it was lovely! The main restaurant had so much variety, and if you couldn't find anything you fancied then the chefs are more than happy to make you up something. We visited Verdi the Italian restaurant which was lovely! Food was to die for. We also visited Shish Bish for dinner and had food from the all inclusive menu - was delicious! Those who moan about having no ''British'' food need to get a grip - you are in Egypt! It is a different culture so try and experience it!

Thirdly - the room. There were 3 of us and they provided us with an extra bed. Even with 3 beds in the room it was so spacious! Plenty of places to hang your clothes up, great big bathroom and very comfy beds! Towels were changed everyday and the room was cleaned everyday which i thought was brill.

Fourthly - the facilities. One of my friends had a treatment at the Health Spa which he thoroughly enjoyed. All treatments were a bit pricey, but he decided to treat himself. The pools are all spotless, our favourite was the main pool which is a salt water pool. One of the pools was shut for maintenance during our stay but it didn't affect us at all. The bars were all good. For an extra strong cocktail visit the Tipsy Turtle down beside the beach! :) Our favourite bar was Cafe Shalalat.

Fifthly - the animation team. Special thanks to Jodie (bless ya's!), Simonea (Scotland!), Alena (water polo!!) and Bono (sevennnn!). Such friendly people who always made time to chat to you and get you involved (although we never fancied the water polo! Sorry!). We went on a couple of nights out with them - highly recommend Hard Rock Cafe on a Sunday and Pacha on the Monday. Don't really rate Pataya on a Tuesday though. Found a couple of the animation team really annoying (Mikey and Franco). Didn't find them funny at all!

Negatives / Suggestions - If i were to be really picky i would suggest the pathways being a little better lit at night time, the internet was very pricey which for a 5* hotel i expected to be free!

Overall we had a really brilliant holiday and hope to return to the Hilton Sharm Waterfalls resort soon! My mum was so impressed by what i told her about the hotel that she also wants to visit next year! xxx

We stayed at the Hilton Sharm Waterfalls between 14th September and 28th September 2013. We travelled in a party of 3 couples aged between 25 and 30.
Overall the Hilton Sharm Waterfalls is an excellent resort. However, I will start this review with a couple of problems we encountered and the excellent way the team at the resort dealt with them.
A week prior to arrival I emailed the hotel to ask if there were any ‘anniversary packages’ to purchase as it would be my Wedding Anniversary during our stay. Unfortunately not only was this email ignored, but when we arrived we were given a twin room. After voicing my complaints at a ‘Managerial cocktail party’ a couple of nights in, I was assured that someone would be in contact with me. This never happened. A couple of days prior to leaving the resort I mentioned this to one of the Animation team who got in contact with Guest Relations who left a note in the room asking me to come and see them. The next day I spoke to the lovely Anastasia who couldn’t be more apologetic and offered us complimentary breakfast in bed and late check out as a way of making it up to us.
The other issue occurred at the Paradise Reef Restaurant. I chose a meal from the ‘additional’ cost menu and the others in the party chose from the Set AL menu. The others had received and eaten their starters by the time mine was served and then we all had to wait an hour for our main courses. Not one waiter come to apologise or even give us a courtesy update on why we were waiting for so long. After taking 3 hours to be served 3 courses we complained to the waiter. He immediately got one of the Sous Chefs to come and talk to us. He was extremely apologetic and offered to personally cook us a meal at a candle lit location by the Chillax Pool the following night. The apology meal was accepted and indeed Chef Syed and our personal waiter Shady certainly did help us forget about the night before.
Although these problems were minor they would have had a negative impact on my opinions of the resort had Anastasia and Chef Syed not used their excellent customer service skills.

*****Safety and Security*****
DO NOT let the current goings on in Egypt put you off traveling to Sharm. There has been no trouble reported in Sharm and for reassurance there are extra security check points set up all over Sharm-el-Sheikh and the hotel itself has its own knife arch and security officers. We went for walks outside of the resort several times and felt very safe. Hygiene within the hotel is taken seriously. There are alcohol hand rub dispensers dotted around the resort. None of us got ill and we didn’t hear any other guests complaining either.

*****WEATHER*****
Amazing as it always is in Sharm. It was above average for the time of the year, mid 40’s most days. Take plenty of sun cream!

*****AMINITIES*****
There is an onsite shop and a cash machine just outside the entrance. The cash machine is also a currency converter with excellent exchange rates. Just put a wad of pound notes into it and it’ll return Egyptian Pounds. It is best to just take Sterling and transfer it out there.

*****SWIMMING POOLS******
The pools down at the bottom of the resort are salt water. There were lots of beds here each morning, so you didn’t have to get up early to find one. However up at the Chillax Pool most of the beds had gone by 9.30am. Simply exchange your towel cards for towels each morning and whilst you are there pick up a ‘Do not disturb’ sign and the Spa/Water Sports/Excursion guys will leave you alone. Each day the pool attendants would come around and clean your sun glasses and provide ice cold towels. Antonios from the beach bar would come around each day and happily bring us drinks.

****BEACH*****
The resort sits on the edge of a small cliff. There are couple of man-made beach sections sitting on top and a couple of small beach areas down by the sea with comfortable double mattresses instead of sun beds. There are two floating jetties going out over the reef. The Reef isn’t as good as some of the other areas along Sharm. However, it still offers an excellent opportunity for snorkelling, with many types of fish. We even saw a large ray swimming by.

*****RESTAURANTS*****
The Breakfast Buffet was the usual for a resort like this. There were cooked or continental breakfasts. The Omelette Chef was great. They could do with a couple of hotter toasters.
Lunch was served at the Buffet or you could get baskets of food with kebabs, burgers, chips etc. at the Paradise Reef Restaurant. They were both nice however one basket wasn't enough and we had to order two each. You couldn't take the baskets away so if you wanted to eat at your sunbed you’d have to order a snack from the ‘extra charge’ menu. Or you could always have a ‘MEGA MAC’ delivered to the hotel from the local McDonalds.
In the evenings the Buffet Restaurant did get repetitive, however the food was nice and the waiters were on hand to fill our glasses. In spite of the problem with service mentioned at the start, the food in the Paradise Reef Restaurant was nice also. Shish Bish was an outside restaurant offering a Bedouin style dining experience. The food and service here was excellent, and the mixed grill is definitely worth the £10 extra charge. The Italian Restaurant was probably our favourite, although you can only visit here once per week.

*****BARS*****
We often had a drink in Latinos prior to dinner and sat out at the Shish Bish Bar after dinner. Service at both of these bars was great. The local beer is called STELLA and tasted nice. The girls enjoyed the local white wine. The spirits of course weren’t up to the branded equivalents we are used to. However in a cocktail they tasted fine. The Lemon Drop was a personal favourite. Although Latinos is a Sports Bar, it does not show Sports on TV. If you want to watch any English sports whilst you are away you will have to take a short 10/15 minute walk to the bars/restaurants to the right of the resort.

*****ENTERTAINMENT*****
Pono, Mikey, Jodie and Amber were part of the animation team that entertained guests at the resort. They were extremely friendly and helpful and always letting you know what activities were on offer each day. Beach Volleyball was a daily favourite. Each night there was a show in the Amphitheatre and the ones we saw were a laugh. They also go out to a nightclub each night with guests and ensure you return safely, although we were always too tired/drunk to join them!

*****SPA*****
As there were six of us we managed to get a good price on spa treatments. Excellent services on offer and worth a visit.

*****OUT AND ABOUT*****
Just outside the hotel entrance, to the left on the opposite side of the road is a small convenience shop that is cheaper than the hotel shop. However, if you leave the hotel and turn right just past a small market there are shops that are cheaper still.
As there were six of us we opted for the hotel mini bus opposed to local taxis to go further afield. We visited Nama Bay and Soho Square.
**Nama Bay was a lot different to how others make it out to be. Yes people try and get you into their shops/bars, however a polite but firm ‘No Thank You’ and they leave you alone. We ate in the Hard Rock which is just like any other Hard Rock with HUGE portions. We went to Casino Royale which was a fun night and had small minimum stakes ($5).
**Soho Square is a higher standard and shop keepers are forbidden to hassle visitors, so you are free to look around in peace. However, this takes away the Egyptian culture and you may as well be in any shopping/eating complex in England. Here we drank in the Queen Vic Pub and ate at FUSION 21. These were both excellent. Tip: Go to the information office and ask for a free VIP card. This will get you 25% off food and drink at all the restaurants and bars.

Hilton Sharm Waterfalls is a great resort and I would definitely recommend it if you are travelling to Sharm-El-Sheikh.

This is by far the best hotel we've ever stayed at. Once we arrived we had our luggage escorted to our room and were greeted with a drink. The hotel is kept immaculately clean and the pools are well maintained too. There is a good selection of food and drink if you are all inclusive and is ideal for fussy eaters. The hotel is also very secure and we always felt safe there. The staff at the restaurants are all very good at their job and I must give a special mention to Mohammed who looked after us well.

The bar staff I must give a special mention to are Sayed Nwar, M.Nezam, Ahmed Samer, Ahmed Fadan and Waleed. These guys are very efficient and hard working. There is a great animation team to keep you entertained throughout the holiday with activities and exercises and they also provide a great show. The staff we got to know and love are Pono, Alona, Simone, Jody and Funko. These guys always put a smile on our faces and have a great sense of humour, there is never a dull moment there.

One thing i will warn you about is booking your trips, you are much better off booking your trips at the hotel. We made the mistake of booking our trips in Naama Bay with a guy called Ahmed and he ripped us off. He is deceitful and sly at ripping you off with the trips which are just average compared to what they offer you at the hotel. One day his driver didn't even show up to take us on an excursion. We met a lovely man named at the hotel from the excursion team named Gourge Maris who is polite, not pushy and thoroughly explains the trips to you, if only we booked with him.

Overall we had a brilliant time at the hotel and we will come again.

Just returned from 2 weeks (21 sept - 05 Oct) all inclusive at the Hilton Waterfalls and was very impressed with the hotel.

Firstly, upon arrival at the hotel you will see that Security is tight (secure stops every couple of miles on the roads in and around Sharm). Security and sniffer dogs check every vehicle and person in and out of the resort so at no point did we ever feel unsafe.

Check in was easy, greeted with a glass of Hibiscus Juice whilst our bags were delivered to the room shortly followed by us in a golf buggy.

We stayed in room 3910. We originally asked for a sea view and inter-joining rooms but was given a garden view (even though the hotel was only running at 45% capacity). The room itself was nice and clean with all expected amenities. Air conditioning is bang on!!

Lots of things to keep you entertained throughout the hotel. Chillax Pool with pool-side bar (also do AI snacks but we only found this out in the last days). Pool Island is loacted nearer the beach and is Salt water; plenty of beds around this pool, had to be up early to get one at Chillax. Also Tipsy Turtle beach bar where we spent most of the late afternoons having good chatter with the barman Ahmed Samir until he was moved to an indoor bar which wasnt the same.

Be prepared to be bitten to death by mosquitoes in and around the hotel. Even though fumigators are there every other day it isnt enough. Myself and my Fiancee suffered for a few days with really itchy bites which resulted in little sleep. We ended up spending over £50 on creams and repellents from the Pharmacy before being informed that all bars have repellent spray but you need to ask to use it. (The Shish Bish Bar seems the worst place for mozzy's)

The food was very average but did have a large variety. The food didnt taste like it looked although my Fiancee had no issues whatsoever. Also expect to have deli-belly for most of the holiday (again seek GP help for some Diax and Spasma tablets) - not sure what caused this because all the water is mineral and I varied my diet throughout. The chef's do ask if there are any foods you would like specifically making and they have no qualms doing this for you.

All of the staff go above and beyond their stations to ensure you are having the perfect holiday and really can't do enough for you. Special mentions to Ahmed Samir and Ahmid Taha (Hilton) and Memo and Swayzo* (Solaris Watersports) for going the extra mile.

We never like to visit the same place twice (been there, done that) but would DEFINITELY return to the Hilton Waterfalls!!

Room Tip: If you are leaving late, DO NOT pay the £92 charge to extend your room; you are given a shower room...
