We booked Sharmlife before we left the UK as a friend recommended it to us after they had been a few months ago. We booked the Snorkeling at Ras Mohammad, Day trip and stargazing with the Bedouin Tribe and Quad biking in the desert. On our first morning after our flight over, a rep from Sharmlife came to meet us at the hotel to take our money and give us vouchers (which you should only do with trusted excursions) and then a day later we were picked up by a car and taken to the harbour and rented out snorkeling equipment for £20. We got on the boat to ras mohammad and did 3 snorkeling stops and it was beautiful. After the second stop you are also given a nice buffet lunch. Our snorkeling instructor invited us out for sheesha later that evening and we went along and met him a few nights during the trip, making a good friend along the way. The second excursion we went on was to the Bedoin tribe in the Sinai desert. We were picked up by mini bus and taken out to the desert where over 50 camels awaited us to be taken on a 30 minute camel ride through the desert to the camp. When we got there, our sharm life tour guide told us the history of the tribe which was very interesting, and we made bread with the tribes people, we later had sheesha and got to ask questions on their culture before climbing a nearby mountain to watch the sunset. When we came back down we were served a traditional dinner with the bread we made, and then watched a show with music from the tribes people, belly dancer who entices you to join in (which is quite hilarious) and a traditional egyptian entertainer. After this we were taken out into the desert in the pitch dark to find out facts about the stars with a lazer, and look into threw different telescopes of Jupiter, the moon etc. The mini buses pulled up as we were doing this and we were able to hop on and be taken home right to the hotel door. This by far was one of the best experiences I have ever had in my life, and I recommend it to anyone.
The third excursion was the quad biking in the desert. Again we were picked up in the morning and taken to a quad center. The man who picked us up also took us out on the quads, it was just him, myself and my friend so the experience was much more personal, he led the way and we followed over beautiful desert scenery for over 60 miles with a few stops for photos and to echo our names, and then to another Bedoin camp for some famous bedoin tea.
If you purchase three excursions you are allowed one free which can be tubing, banana boating or going on a glass bottomed boat, and we had this booked but unfortunately got a case of 'Egyptian belly' so could not attend, the tour guides were fine with this when we called to cancel and offered us free transfer to the airport on our last day instead.
All the excursions totaled to £67, which compared to other companies out there is dirt cheap, and the service is amazing, the people are nice and helpful, they are reliable and above all the experience will blow you away for the cheap price. We did not stay in a very nice hotel on our holiday, but sharmlife made it very enjoyable and by far the best holiday I have had yet!
