“Best money I've ever spent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

We booked Sharmlife before we left the UK as a friend recommended it to us after they had been a few months ago. We booked the Snorkeling at Ras Mohammad, Day trip and stargazing with the Bedouin Tribe and Quad biking in the desert. On our first morning after our flight over, a rep from Sharmlife came to meet us at the hotel to take our money and give us vouchers (which you should only do with trusted excursions) and then a day later we were picked up by a car and taken to the harbour and rented out snorkeling equipment for £20. We got on the boat to ras mohammad and did 3 snorkeling stops and it was beautiful. After the second stop you are also given a nice buffet lunch. Our snorkeling instructor invited us out for sheesha later that evening and we went along and met him a few nights during the trip, making a good friend along the way. The second excursion we went on was to the Bedoin tribe in the Sinai desert. We were picked up by mini bus and taken out to the desert where over 50 camels awaited us to be taken on a 30 minute camel ride through the desert to the camp. When we got there, our sharm life tour guide told us the history of the tribe which was very interesting, and we made bread with the tribes people, we later had sheesha and got to ask questions on their culture before climbing a nearby mountain to watch the sunset. When we came back down we were served a traditional dinner with the bread we made, and then watched a show with music from the tribes people, belly dancer who entices you to join in (which is quite hilarious) and a traditional egyptian entertainer. After this we were taken out into the desert in the pitch dark to find out facts about the stars with a lazer, and look into threw different telescopes of Jupiter, the moon etc. The mini buses pulled up as we were doing this and we were able to hop on and be taken home right to the hotel door. This by far was one of the best experiences I have ever had in my life, and I recommend it to anyone.
The third excursion was the quad biking in the desert. Again we were picked up in the morning and taken to a quad center. The man who picked us up also took us out on the quads, it was just him, myself and my friend so the experience was much more personal, he led the way and we followed over beautiful desert scenery for over 60 miles with a few stops for photos and to echo our names, and then to another Bedoin camp for some famous bedoin tea.
If you purchase three excursions you are allowed one free which can be tubing, banana boating or going on a glass bottomed boat, and we had this booked but unfortunately got a case of 'Egyptian belly' so could not attend, the tour guides were fine with this when we called to cancel and offered us free transfer to the airport on our last day instead.
All the excursions totaled to £67, which compared to other companies out there is dirt cheap, and the service is amazing, the people are nice and helpful, they are reliable and above all the experience will blow you away for the cheap price. We did not stay in a very nice hotel on our holiday, but sharmlife made it very enjoyable and by far the best holiday I have had yet!

“Tours of Ciaro with Sharmlife”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

It is actually a great experience and providing you go with these few tips, you should be fine and get some real bargains.
If you are planning to travel further afield, Cairo is a great day trip, but make sure you buy a visa at the airport when you arrive, they cost £13.00 each and are available before you get to collect your luggage, without one you will not be allowed to travel outside the Sharm area and you cannot easily buy one once you have left the airport.
We booked our trip to Cairo whilst in England through SharmLife (info@sharmlife.com) and I would recommend using them, Zizo the owner was really helpful and arranged everything, we only had to pay 10% in advance and the balance in cash in the resort, where they will come to your hotel and check you have the correct visa to travel as there are very strict rules about traveling around the country.
We paid £150 each for flights and private transfers and guides for the whole day including lunch and paid an additional £10 GBP for a private boat trip up the Nile to the restaurant, which is a fantastic way to view Cairo, which is £15 less than you would pay for a group tour booked in the resort and the service was excellent, you can choose where you want to go and how long you want to stay there for rather than hanging around waiting for others.
Our guide was Zenab, who was very knowledgeable and will tell you as little or as much as you need to know about Egyptian history and gives you a great insight into the history whilst in the museum.
Our driver was “Tuk Tuk”, obviously a nickname, but his driving stills were amazing, always incredibly calm and I can tell you driving through Cairo is not for the faint hearted.
Obviously the Pyramids are a must for any visit and well worth the travelling, but you will be hassled constantly whilst walking around the site, so be very wary of taking camel rides not arranged by your guide, as you could find yourself having to pay an addition £100 GBP to get back to where you started.
Everybody want to offer you free gifts, as before nothing is for free, so you will then be hassled until you pay for something that again you do not want.
Be especially careful about taking photographs of camels, as they will expect you to pay for the privilege and definitely don’t volunteer to hold the rope to steady the camel, that will cost you anything up to £10 GBP !
One thing really worth doing, if you like those unusual photographs is to get the local boy at the Sphinx to take some photographs for you, it will cost you £1GBP and the special effects he creates are really very clever, again only use the boy’s recommended by the guide.

We have used Sharm Life on a number of occasions and cannot fault this company. We have got in touch with Zizo using the web site before leaving the UK with our requirements and he has never failed to deliver a fantastic service. Nothing is too much trouble and if you require any little extras just ask . On our last holiday my daughter, her husband, and two children came out to join us and also booked quite a few excursions . Zizo had so much time for the children and gave some advise which trips would be suitable for their age. We will be going to Sharm in March and May this year, and will be in touch with the company very soon. Please do not hesitate to use Sharm Life because you will have a great time.

“Hany is the BEST Tour Guide Ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2013

Used Sharm Life for my first trip to Egypt.
Started off by turning up to my introductory meeting late!!! (oops) But on arrival was greeted by the lovely Hany. He explained what upcoming excursions and gave answered all my questions. Me and my boyfriend used Sharm Life for Camel Riding/Star Gazing, Quad Biking and a trip to Cairo.
The camel riding/star gazing was hosted by Hany and it was absolutely amazing. I honestly can't say enough good things about him. He went above and beyond to ensure that our excursion was interesting and special. Truly an amazing person.

The other two excursions weren't as amazing but still good. There was a bit of confusion with where we were meant to meet the coach as the hotel doesn't always allow Sharm Life into the grounds due to them wanting you to use their own excursion companies.
However, once sorted, they were fine.

One thing I would say is, if travelling to Cairo from Sharm, 100% take a plane. The coach journey was EXCRUCIATING. It was cold and took ages.

All in all, I'd use Sharm Life again, if only for the fact that comparing them to many of the other excursion companies, they were definitely the best in price.

“Fab service Fab experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2013

Have recently returned from a New Year break in sunny Sharm, what a lovely time we both had in the company of the Sharm Life representatives, Hany and Besso. Having read reviews prior to out trip, I decided to book our excursions through the company. What a wise choice. From day one, Hany and Besso were on hand to ensure I and my wife had a wonderful first experience in Sharm El Sheikh and Cairo. The lads organised our trips without any problems. They were there to pick us up promptly and return us to our hotel by car and the trips they recommended were excellent value for money, even though we decided to have a VIP service for our Cairo excursion which included our own personal guide (the very knowledgeable Zainab, thank you!)and driver. The 'Stargazing/Bedouin night and snorkelling in the Red Sea were breathtaking, wish we were still there! Both Hany and Besso from Sharm Life are a credit to the company and made our first visit to Egypt so memorable. I thoroughly recommend booking through Sharm Life Day Tours and will not hesitate to recommend their service to friends and will certainly use them again when we return to Sharm again, hopefully sooner than later!
