“Wow a Hidden Gem.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2013

As a previous guest of the Sonesta Beach Resort 7 times we found Le Royale by chance asked for a look around and decided to book for 7 days February 2013.
This hotel is amazing although you have to go over to Sonesta Beach for meals but you eat in a restrant set aside for le royale guests. we also eat at the pool bar which was really nice.

A problem we did encounter was that as a previous guest at sonesta we were recognised by a security guard who asked us to go with him to reception to ask if we were a guest at le royale although you have different colour wristbands, this was embarrassing.

All staff were really friendly and helpful and we did recognise some from Sonesta and made us welcome.
We felt that this special hotel should have been adults only as it was spoiled by young children not supervised by their parents and running about between the swimming pools as their was so much marble it was so slippery.

Would highly recommend this hotel and would certainly return.

Room Tip: Away from main road .We saw that the swim up rooms lost the sun in the morning quite quickly and was...

Everything about our stay here can only be described as perfect. The staff here were the most polite and attentive I have ever come across, from staff at the pool bars to the cleaners, secruity guards to the gardeners. They were helpful, friendly and genuinely cared about making your stay a great one. There was nothing about Le Royale that made us feel anything barr relaxed and comfortable. The rooms as well as the grounds (entirity) of the hotel were being constanlty maintained and cleaned, it looked and was every bit as luxurious as it claims to be. Rooms were spotless, beds were amazing, bathrooms were spacious and hygienic. Food everyday was fantatsic and I can highly reccomend a visit to the Indian restaurant, has been one of the nicest Inidian meals I've ever had.
We have already discussed going back as it really was a genuinely brilliant stay with everything you're looking for in a luxury hotel and I can't think of anything negative to say about it.

Room Tip: If you're happy to spend the little extra money the swim up rooms in the private Bellagio sectio...

We booked this hotel last minute, with Thomas Cook, for a week at Easter. The hotel was great, nice and clean, staff friendly and very helpful. As we were staying on the luxury side of the resort we had a different coloured wristband and this entitled us to eat in our own restaurant. Other guests within the resort could not eat in this restaurant, which, thankfully, from our point of view was a great restaurant. Excellent selection of food, catering for all tastes - we ate there for both lunch and dinner. I am quite a strict Vegetarian and didn't have any problems.

It was disappointing that wine was not included in the "All Inclusive" at the bars only available at mealtimes in the restaurant. This didn't matter too much, we just stayed in the restaurant all night, drinking wine, which the waiters were more than happy to serve, as long as we wanted to stay.

We had to complain about one of the mattresses in our room and the hotel immediately replaced it with another one. Fantastic service.

We picked this hotel, last minute, as it is on actual Naama Bay and my partner loves to dive with the Red Sea Diving College. It took around 20-30 minutes to walk there which, by the end of the week became a little tiring. There are 3 pools at the hotel and only the centre one was heated. The others were far too cold to get into but perhaps they are warmer in the summer months. The first part of the week there were no problems getting sunbeds in the mornings however, in the latter part of the week, as more British people arrived, they were disappearing at 6am! why? In our opinion it is the British that cause most of the problems with sunbeds - "bagging" them early in the morning and then not appearing to use them until around 2pm/3pm in the afternoon!!

Not sure we would book with a package company again but for an all inclusive holiday it wasn't too bad - we usually find better options booking flights and hotels separately ourselves.

Room Tip: We had a ground floor room that opened out on the pool area - great position and quiet. Central poo...

Have the most pleasant memories and a desire to return. Royal Sonesta - a full five-star hotel. The luxurious rooms! The warmth of wood, the cool marble, soft linens help to forget the crazy rhythm of the metropolis and get complete relaxation. Gorgeous spa pools, very comfortable beds, all surrounded by greenery and flowers. Road to the sea does not take long (5-7min.). Excellent private-beach. All the wait staff is polite, prudent, tactful. Special thanks to the staff of the hotel, as well as managers of the restaurant La Gondola Yasha and Mohamed, waiters Islam and Said, the guardian angel pool Ahmed and bartenders at Byblos Bar. Thank you for an unforgettable vacation!

Le Royale really is the business. We visited Sonesta last year and Le Royale in March this year with a revisit in June this time taking our family. Reason we went back so quick is easy, its that good. The staff are some of the best we have had the pleasure to meet from Mohammed showing us the ropes and the rooms, Hassan the receptionist and all round helper, Momen the ever happy Pool man and Ahmed and Tamer at the 24hr pool bar. Special thanks to Taha as the man who stays out of the limelight but makes sure you are ok. The rooms and especially the beds are just perfect with plenty of choice on the food. Hotel is a good walk away from center of Narma but we like to walk. We will be back and hopefully not loo long away.

Room Tip: all rooms are good but the ground floor have the advantage of being close to the pool.

I know my review is a bit late, but stayed in the hotel in March this year and it was wonderful. The Le Royal accommodation is fantastic and if you are able to have a swim up room its worth the extra. The beach and the restaurants are a little limited but the overall feel of the hotel more than makes up for it. The staff cannot do enough for you throughout your stay and make you feel very special. Looking forward to going back either later on this year or early next. A special thank you to Taha.
