Hi all, just back from resort, thats worst our holidays ever.Yes weather was fine, beach vey nice, food perfect, but people in Sharm el Sheikh are very dangerous. They just think about yours cash.We had many problems with natives. One more stange thing:my mobile was lost in apartament.,I am sure for 100% I left him on the table beside TV and it is gone for 2 days.Just after when I open this issue for all staff, they get in tuch with me and sayd:your phone was found outside the building(thats not thrue,I am never took phone from apartament.).So if you will go wach you cameras, phones. Mini bar is charged(it is not included in your meel),for few cans of beer, pepsi, fanta and few bars of chocolate last day we have to payd 170 eu!!!!!!!Nonsense! So now is yours choise, but we newer ever will to this resort.

We have just returned from the Coral Sea and had a very enjoyable weeks break from the UK weather. It was our first time in Sharm. We stayed at the hotel for one week at the end of January. We stayed in a double4 room which had a jacuzzi bath and had a balcony. The room was situated at the end of the hotel near the beach with a sea view. It was at the farthest point away from the dining facilities and the reception, but we were okay with this as we enjoyed the walk and it was quiet. It could best be described as being a quarter of a small detached house, joined by a walkway to the main part of the hotel . The room was clean and spacious.
We thought the facilities at the hotel were good and we used the bottom pool area to sunbathe. It was quieter and was further away from the music.
We had no problems with the food and thought there was plenty of choice. The hotel makes an effort to vary the menu i.e. the last night was called English night. You had choices like beef wellington, chicken pie, sheperds pie etc.
We found most of the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The waiters bar staff etc. wear badges which say "yes we can" and the majority of the ones we dealt with worked hard towards carrying this out with a smile on their faces.
Just a point to be aware of if you have not been to the Nabq Bay area before. It is under the "take off" flight path for the airport, so if you are a light sleeper you might get woken up early.
We would definitely go back to this hotel and have recommended it to some of our relatives.

We stayed at the coral sea resort for 11 nights over Christmas and New Year. We had the most amazing holiday.
The hotel is beautiful. The room was large and spacious. The bathroom was a little dated and the hot water a bit tempermental but overall perfectly adequate. We had a top floor room with balcony. Our housekeeper was excellent - even making us elephant towels!
The hotel is very quiet, accommodation is away from the bar and restuarants.
There were 2 pools - a heated noisy one, which we stayed away from, although on the last day we did take a dip but it was too hot.
The other pool, was bigger and quieter but cold, but it didn't take long to get used to it.. Although in the summer months it would probably be plenty warm enough.
Didn't really experience the entertainment - its wasn't really our thing. There is a bar in the lobby area if you want time away from the animation team.
There are 3 resturants in the evening. The Italian was lovely, as was the Indian. The main resturant had a great choice and a fab selection of puddings. I am a slight;y fussy eater and didn't struggle once - as there was always the pizza and pasta man!
The hotel put on a special dinner on Christmas Eve and made a real effort. New Years eve, they put a marquee up, which from the outside look awful and we thought what is inside BUT you walked in and it was amazing. Loads of food and drink. A fabulous night.
Went on a couple of trips. Snorkelled of the jetty - saw loads, other half went diving. Visited Old Sharm which was awful. Nabq is definately a much better area.

Overall - we could not fault this hotel and their staff - our bed broke and within 5 mins of telling our housekeeper it was being fixed. I would not have any 2nd thoughts in going back or recommending it to family and friends.

looking at the other reviews giving coral sea 5 out of 5 i think i went to the wrong resort.
yes, hotel was clean and right on the beach, staff very friendly (but then they are paid to be) both of us suffered tummy probs ( still am) not fussy people but food after first couple of days lost its appeal. but worst of all was the drinks. lager bearable but spirits absolutely undrinkable so an 11 day holiday became a bit of a fasting period. make sure you take your full limit of spirits out from uk, bite cream advisable. take pound coins as everyone wants a tip. there is an english bar outside of the resort which does good food (steaks a bit tough) but then if you are going to pay all inc why should you need to go outside of the resort. will definitely not be going back ( sounds as though we a bit fussy but many people there said same as us. first time i have not liked a holiday abroad

We have just arrived back from the coral sea yesterday. What can i say that has not already been said. It is a fantastic place to go for a relaxing holiday. The service is fantastic. We had a junior suite which was a stones throw from the beach. I have never stayed in a room as big. it was like 3 hotel rooms in 1. Everything you could need and more. This was our 1st time to egypt but we are def going back this yr to this hotel. The food is very good sometimes you have to be a bit adventurous but it is worth it. I cannot fault this hotel one of the best i have stayed in. The staff are a credit to the hotel and work extremely hard.

We arrived in Sharm 4 hours late after the worst storms in years. The roof had fallen in at the airport and the roads to the hotel were flooded.
When we arrived at the hotel and were ushered straight downstairs to the restaurant, which they had kept open especially for the late arrivals. When we finally got to our room we were amazed, it was enormous! It was always kept spotlessly clean by our cleaner Mohammed and he often left us flowers and Crocodiles made from towels. The only sign that there had been a flood in the hotel were all the rugs from the rooms hanging out to dry, they had done a fantastic job of getting the hotel back up and running.
You could literally eat all day at this hotel if you wanted to! Breakfast in the main restaurant from 6.30 - 10, light snacks in the Mermaid from 11 - 12, Ice cream from the pool bar from 11 - 3, lunch in the main restaurant from 12.30 or the Mermaid from 1, Pool BBQ from 1, Afternoon tea from 4.30 - 5.30 and dinner in the main restaurant from 6.30 - 10pm!
There was plenty of choice for breakfast in the main restaurant. Eggs cooked to order, cereals, pastries, yogurts, cold meats and cheese etc. The Mermaid restaurant was closed for the first 2 days we were there, it had no electric due to the flooding but when it opened it did lovely light lunches, pizza, burgers, salad etc. It also did lovely curries and Morrocan food for £10 set price for 3 courses in the evening. It was a bit chilly out there on an evening though. On our last day it closed down for total refurbishment so there was a BBQ set up on the beach for lunch which was just as good. The BBQ by the large pool was a bit dodgy though, we only ate there once.
The main restaurant has a good selection of foods but if there is nothing you fancy you can always visit the Italian station where they make pizza and pasta to order at lunch and dinner. There are also toasties at lunch time.
We went to the Italian twice during our stay and thought the food and service were lovely, and a real change from the main restaurant, Personally, we didn't think the drinks were over priced in comparison to the UK. £2.20 for a large bottle of water and the most expensive wine was about £18.
There are two pools, one of which is heated. We spent most of our time around the non-heated pool which was a lot quieter. Both pools were clean but the large pool was absolutely freezing, as was the sea. Our rep tried to tell us it was like walking into a warm bath. We only went snorkling once as there was not really that much to see at the end of the jetty. You can walk out quite a long way and the water will still only be up to your knees.
The spa wasn't really up to much. We had a 2hr scrub and massage each which was not that brilliant. The changing area was not very clean, the showers in the Ladies were blocked with coconut and mud, the sauna was tiny and the steam room did not work properly.
The Animation team did a very good job, some of the entertainment was a bit Butlins in The Irish Bar but you could also go to the Lounge Bar which had singers and belly dancers. My favourite was the spinning man! Gi Gi, Shadow, Romeo and the rest of the animation team were very friendly and helpful and there were plenty of activities during the day, Aquagym, darts, volleyball etc. and you didn't get any hassle if you didn't want to take part. They even came out as we left on the coach to dance for us!
We spent most evenings in the Irish Bar. It was no smoking in there which is always a bonus. it is open until about 2am, although all inclusive ends at Midnight. The bar staff in there were amazing especially Aziz and Baha. We were never without a drink. The beer was very drinkable and the cocktails were great.
The hotel is ideally located with a supermarket and HSBC at the top of the drive. There was also a shopping mall across the road with Starbuck, Burger King etc and a Hard Rock Cafe was being built there too. You could also walk along the beach front and check out all the other hotels, we walked quite a way in both directions.
We had a fantastic time, the staff really do make the hotel a pleasure to stay at. The Animation team always check to see if everything is ok and if there is anything they can do to make your stay more enjoyable. The bar staff are great as were the Mermaid/ Italian staff. Definitely the best hotel we have stayed in in Egypt (we have been to Egypt 3 time in the last 7 months) and we will definitely be back.

We recently stayed at the Coral Sea Resort in Sharm El Sheikh and had a fantastic stay. The staff were very friendly and very helpful, our room was cleaned to a high standard everyday, the restaurant selection of food was very good with lots of choice for all of us including my two children aged 3 and 8, the staff in the restaurant were fantastic and again very helpful. The ladies who ran the kids club were fantastic with kids and nothing was too much trouble. We will be going back next year for another fantastic stay at the coral sea resort, amd would recommend it to others if wanting to visit egypt.
