Having heard mixed reviews about this hotel and 'the building work' we didn't quite know what to expect. Well it was lovely from start to finish. The hotel is so clean and everyone is so friendly, they really go out of their way to makesure you are happy with everything, from the waiters in the restaurant to the lobby staff, to the reception staff, thomson reps to the animation team which are everywhere around the hotel and fantastic! They work such long hours but are always so happy! We requested a newly refurbed room with a pool view which was exactly what we got. Towels and bed sheets were changed daily. There is food for everyone at meal times pizza, spag Bol, chips, pasta, fish, chicken, beef, a healthy bar, lots of fresh bread, lovely desserts, the food list is endless. We done several excursions in the week to see the most we could. Thomson really looked after us at every trip and the Egyptians are so friendly. We done a bar crawl, ultimate desert Experience, pyramids and snorkelling. After every excursion you fill out a customer review, they really care how you feel about your trip. So well organised too. The water park is being built just outside the hotel but progress looks to be very slow and few people working on it but they did say it will be ready for march. They are still in the progress of refurbishing rooms but we never heard any noise from any of this going on. With regards to the spa staff hassling you around the pool, it's just takes a stern 'no thankyou' and they will leave you alone. If you do have one like I did then be sure to haggle, I paid £30 in the end for a full body. It was very nice but the spa rooms do need updating. There is a supermarket just outside the hotel if u do forget anything which is like a mini tesco. Check your change is correct as I did get caught out! There are shops inside of the hotel too if you want to buy gifts without being hasseled, the shopkeepers are very chatty and will have a laugh with you. The beach is lovely with a bar, you can go out for about 400metres with it only being waist height. We stayed around the top pool where there is music and another bar and the animation team regularly do dances allday to keep you entertained. They do make you laugh. Then they come round and have a chat with you, they certainly work hard but are always smiling. All in all this holiday was amazing and I would defiantly go back to this hotel! I'm not normally one to write reviews but I had such a fantastic time, this is the least I could do! Thankyou to everyone at the coral sea resort and hopefully were see you again this year!
