“Excellent Experience!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2013

Have just got back from my trip where we did this excursion and had an absolutely amazing time!

Got picked up from the hotel in a lovely air conditioned coach, and as we were driving to the location our guide gave us a fabulous run down of various histories of the area which was very fascinating (Wish I remembered his name as he was awesome!)

Arrived at the desert and was allocated our camels...not the most comfy ride I must say, but definitely an experience.

We were then welcome into the main area with a wonderful tea and a talk about the bedouin life. We climbed a short hill to view the sunset and climbed down for tea and the party!!

The stargazing - wow is all I can say! We were giving a short (but informative) talk on the constellations, the north star and how to the tell the time using stars before we moved on to the telescopes. We had the pleasure of seeing Jupiter and an amazing close up of the moon!!!!

I would 100% say this was worth every penny and would recommend anyone who is in the area and can go on this trip to go! :D

“Great Egyptian Experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2013

Camel rides a bit scary, rest of the time was brilliant, sitting in a beduin tent, eating from the bbq, making Egyptian bread, watching the sun go down and seeing millions of stars!

“Stargazing with The Bedouins”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2013

A coach ride a little into the desert followed by a short camel ride (not good for bony bottoms!) Tea and shisha followed by dancing and a buffet before stargazing.
There are 2 telescopes which were set to the moon (a great view of the craters) and jupiter (could only make out a white dot). The guide points out constellations and is amusing.
A good trip out but I was expecting to see a bit more. The guide on the coach was very good, lots of info.
