40 pounds to sit on a bus, then be told harshly to get on camel with a scruufy kid constantly begging for cash,. ride this dam thing for 20 minutes in severe heat and massive discomfort to the crown jewels.. get off and sit on the mats in a filthy shack type thing with bloody great black beetles crawling around. Be presented with a bottle of water between 8 people . queue up for some hideously bad food on a paper plate. Watch a man make some bread. Feel pressured into buying some tat when the so called beduins set up some stalls. Watch a sunset, wait around waiting for darkness, constantly looking for where the beetles are crawling. Toilets were the days main challenge. Navigate through pitch black to a shack with no lights , no toilet doors and no sinks and no guarentee that a nasty desert creature might be lurking in there. Next,Queue up to look through a telescope and have a guy point at stars, get on bus and back to hotel. This wasnt a trip it was an ordeal. A very expensive one. My only souvenier was a nasty bite from a camel fly on my bum. As said ,NEVER EVER AGAIN.
