What a horrible hotel with poor standards. I'm not going to write a long review apart from to ask you to think twice (at least) before booking this hotel. Best bits pool and pool bar snacks. Worst bits - restaurant food, not enough staff and horrible rooms.

I have stayed at 7 other 4* all inclusive hotels in Sharm El Shiekh and this is by far the worst. It is never a 4 star plus. Even the rep said this to us.

Food - little choice and only lukewarm (pool snacks, though limited choice are better). Its also a con that you have to pay for the A La Carte !!!!
Rooms - clean but furniture tired and worn
Bars - hard working friendly staff but not enough of them so you had to wait AGES to get served
Pool area - excellent
Entertainment - rubbish
Smells - drains a lot

Thomson - don't care about you when you've got your money and are in there

My husband and I have just returned from the jaz mirabel park hotel and what can I say. It was excellent. The resort was at such a high standard and really clean. The staff do not stop working. We took our 6 year old and 16 years old daughters who also had a great time. The food was outstanding and the staff were always helpful. My husband and a friend went snorkelling which is a must.We would definetley go back. The only thing that was poor was the entertainment. The first week we had a few dancers and a singer (ish) and the second week just the singer which wasnt great. overall a fab time had by all. Did have a touch of pharoahs revenge but there is a little chemist just outside the hotel to the left who is very helpful and does not overcharge.

We have returend from Mirabel park hotel this morning 10.07.09. We stayed for two weeks at this hotel.

Firstly, the hotel itself is lovely, exactly what it looks like online/photos in the Thomsons brochure. Extremely clean at all times, especially the rooms.

swimming pools were great, with water activities such as water polo and water volleyball at the park hotel and more on the beach at the beach hotel if you fancied it.

The male animation team at the park hotel were awesome, especially 'Figo'. Female staff not so great.

Gym was a good standard fro the trainers out there, much better than other hotels we have stayed at, even had a smiths bench with up to 120KG weight for it.

Staff in general are very good, work extremely long hours and are always friendly. Bar staff at Mizag bar especially good.

One down side was the evening entertainment. After 11pm that was just a CD playing. In the Beach hotel there was a little more, but this was mainly for our European counterparts. (Russian, Italian and French) MIrabel park is 90% English by the way. The beach party on Tuesday evening is quality, you must check it out.

Food, very nice, but.............. very, very repetitive. Me and the mrs aren't fussy eaters, but we ventured out to naama bay a couple of times to eat at hard rock cafe, and also went to La Strada, and ate at the Chinese (Pekings) a couple of times, which was lovely and extremely cheap!!

dont use the taxis from the hotel, walk out of the security gate and grab a blue and white taxi, for naama bay pay no more than 100L.E, and La Strada no more than 15L.E. if they dont accept the price, just tell them that you will use their mate instead who will always accept your price, they will then argue with each other in the egyptian way, and you will have a choice of 2 taxis!!

one more note, bad stomachs, every gets it in egypt, dont worry, usually lasts around 2-3 days. Go to the pharmacy for D + V (Antibol) tablets plus stomach cramp tablets (buscopan). be careful of the hotel pharmacy because they know you need them quickly so will put a hefty price tag on them. if you go to La Strada you can get tablets for around 5-10L.E equivalent of about 60-70p in England.

Over all, what a brilliant holiday - would definatley go back again, oh ye.... the weather was around 42-44C every day!!
