We like a good deal, and oh boy did we get it with this hotel. Lovely room (rather tired balcony furniture though). Clean and comfortable. The shower worked beautifully (often a tricky one in Egypt).
The food was excellent at the Beach Restaurant. And very good at the hotel (especially the puddings). The food varied daily and was generally well cooked. I even managed to eat the salads and fruit without getting deli beli.
The staff were all very attentive (but not overly friendly, as is common in Egypt).
We were the only Brits in the hotel, but the other hotel guests (mainly Russian and German) were very polite and well behaved.
The all inclusive Pharaoh Club was almost perfect for our needs. All alcoholic beverages and food were included. Although our room mini bar was sadly lacking in alcohol. We could have requested some beer and wine to be brought up, but we didn't realise that until it was time to leave.
You get a free massage each at the nearby Spa, per week, which was rather superb. Plus free laundry service, which was handy, and an amount of time on the hotel internet service thrown in too.
The thing that really got me was the cleanliness of the hotel and the surrounding area. I never say one item of rubbish lying around. The complex was seriously into recycling too, with recycling pottery earns at regular intervals around the complex.
We were gutted to find the hotel fully booked up for our return trip in March of this year. But would highly recommend it to anyone else wanting to visit this area.
