“Small, chic hotel, but with dried golf course”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2012

For sure, Jaz Makadi Hotel is the best accommodation,I have experienced till now in Egypt. The object has been built in the modern design with spacious lobby, perfect rooms and friendly arranged restaurant and bar. The resting area around the swimming pool is peaceful, with nice view on the sea. The menu and the atmosphere of the dinning is absolutely incomparable to the large and noisy buffet options in other hotels in Egypt, with poor and tasteless food. Also service, though not perfect, was much better, than during our previous experiences.
Unfortunately, the golf course, we expected so much about, appeared very disappointing. Because of the broken watering system, the grass is yellow and dry, and the surface became hard and unpredictable for players.

This is a 93 room modern boutique hotel that exudes chic and designer style wherever you look - it is also child-free! Mr Emad Saleh, the hotel manager, meets and greets, and puts one completely at ease. Nothing is too much trouble and you are invited to treat the hotel as a second home. All the staff are attentive and pro-active, helping the relaxation level to hit unknown heights. Food and service are impeccable - and Beshoy's basil martinis in the bar are a revelation. The rooms and suites are truly spacious with full service.
The all-inclusive package includes laundry but not internet - which is no big deal - and the included wine is restricted to the house choice. Going onto the wine list is, as is the norm in Egypt, rather pricey.
The golf course is very interesting - a desert layout with many changes in elevation - and a challenge to all levels from all tees. Not to mention the pace and slopes on the greens!
The pool and associated bar and health club are tasteful and relaxing. The chillout accompanying background music is the final calming touch. A wonderful spot for both sunworshippers and apres golfers.
For anyone looking for a quality hotel where relaxation and comfort is guaranteed, and enjoyable golf thrown in as well, look no further than the Jaz Makadi Bay Golf Resort.

Have just got back from 2 weeks at this hotel and cannot recommend it enough.
The hotel room was of a high standard being both well furnished and of a high standard of cleanliness.
Rooms were cleaned once a day and towels changed twice a day. Beds were even turned down at night.
Food was excellent, and service was second to none. The manager was on hand at all times, even greeting new guests as they arrived and saying goodbye to them when they were leaving.
Every single member of staff was polite, courteous, and very helpful - even the gardeners.
I would love to go back to this hotel. I can highly recommend it.

My husband and me stayed for three nights in this hotel during our honeymoon i can not exactly express how do we feel.. it was an amazing honeymoon and we really enjoyed the honeymooners suite (6616) which is perfectly located in a location where you can see all Makadi Bay from everywhere specially with the panoramic balcony of the suite that gave us the utmost spectacular view ever... One day we wake up so early while the sunrise and my husband and me thought that we are dreaming as the scene was really amazing and makes you feel that you are in a cinema movie.
The pool was so nice too and it really adorable with it's design that makes you feel like swimming in the earth's edge
Staff of the hotel are all friendly and gives you this touch of elegance and luxury specially Mr. Ayman Fawzy & Mr. Hatem El Gouhary those guys were absolutely hotelier and know well how to make us satisfied all the time.
We got the chance to visit Makadi Spa and we really enjoyed the treatments there.
I would recommend this hotel for any couples looking for romantic honeymoon or an unforgettable vacation.

We stayed at the Bayview Jaz Makedi Golf Hotel for one week over the christmas period and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The hotel is very stylish, rooms very spacious and luxurious.
All staff without exception was polite and attentive and the hotel manager Mr Saleh was a genteman who every day enquired if there was anything that you required or if the hotel could do anything to make your holiday even more pleasurable.
We thought the food was delicious, well presented and of the highest quality. Steak many nights, smoked salmon, champagne breakfasts the norm , this was not a time to think of diets.
My husband played golf on 3 occasions on the 18 hole course and found "desert" golf and the course to be challenging and enjoyable.
We will definately return to this hotel and already enquiring to book later in the year.
