we had booked a three week holiday ruined by noisy russian guests who party 24/7 we had no sleep due to the screaming shouting running down corridoors banging of doors
Due to the unrest in Egypt most German / Italians were sent home then finally the russians were sent home by their government that ment 95/per left in 2 days which left us 150 brits behind and the hotel had to close down I feel heartly sorry for the Egyptians as most of them lost their jobs It did mean we were sent to another hotel and had 5 days of peace and sleep

- the incredibly rude Russian guests; I've never seen anything like it before - it felt more like a social experiment,
- one not very polite or helpful member of reception staff (a blonde lady), and
- the hotel policy of allowing only a single 1.5 litre a bottle of water between us per day at 40 degrees - we were actually told of for helping ourselves to sufficient amount of water from the lobby
- people pushing us to buy stuff on the beach - CONSTANTLY
A stunning hotel, though, and really cool swimming pools with a very nice view from the room.

We had stayed at this hotel for three weeks in November2009 and were so impressed with the staff and the management and the seperate dining room for SAGA guests, that we booked it again for five weeks 23Nov/28Dec2010..We lasted less than four hours before we demanded a move to a proper hotel ,or a flight back to the UK.Two managers have moved on ,one British and One German. The hotel is now a canteen with third rate food and if you dont like Vodka then you might have a problem getting a drink that you like. Our bedroom was filthy,at lunch the cook(not chef) was handling raw chicken and serving cooked chicken with the same gloved hand.We were fortunate to be moved to a proper five star hotel by our tour company..Never in all our experiances of hotels stays have we been so disgusted .We feel so sorry for the staff who have to work there.

Too bad to describe the restaurants and cleanliness of them and the pool bars - they stank.

After a visit in February I gave this Hotel a very favourable review. After a further visit in
November I feel it encumbent upon me to review it again. On arrival I expected the same facilities to be available for Saga guests. NOT SO; it is no longer part of the Pyramisa group, having been taken over by the Dessole group. The new management have made many changes all to the detriment of Saga guests. The exclusive Saga
bar/lounge and Saga restaurant no longer exist. Meals for all guests are now served in a huge restaurant (more like a canteen) where everything is self-service, even drinks, and involves milling among hundreds of other guests collecting food from the many buffet serveries. Considerable amount of to-ing and fro-ing is involved obtaining the different courses. The food is often cold and at best warm. Only the fittest of elderly persons would cope with this, and they would not enjoy it.
The locations of this restaurant and the Saga lounge involved climbing may steps or walking up steep slopes.
There is no longer a dedicated Saga bar and drinks are obtained at the same bars as other guests, making the 'superior Saga drinks' a myth.
English guests are in the minority. It is common-place from early morning onwards to see drunken guests staggering around the complex. Previously Saga guests were segregated from other guests and this type of behaviour did not come to notice.
In a very short time this Hotel has gone from very good for a Saga holiday to one to avoid at all costs. I must add that waiters, pool-attendants,etc., remain excellent.

I thought this hotel was lovely - massive pools on the beach. There is food and drink anytime. I would say there is a few things to be aware of - food quality is typically egypt so expect possible bad stomach but this is the same as most hotels! The hotel is mainly American and Germans so dollars and Euros are widely accepted. You will find it hard to get any small noted in Egyptian pounds so bring other currencies in small notes. No cash machine there and the reception find it hard to change much money! Very relaxing place though !

I stayed here the last two weeks in September and had a fabulous time so much so when I got home I booked for another two weeks next September. Cant believe some of the recent reviews on here especially as I was there immediately before the take over and just cannot believe that things had deterioriated in 24 hours! I had a lovely room with pool and beach view - great sunset from balcony. My room was kept emaculate, towels were changed every day and I certainly had clean sheets every couple of days. I had no problems with water being left in my room on a daily basis. I thought the food was good (put on 4lbs so must have been!) always hot when it needed to be, plenty of choice and food labelled so you knew what you were getting. Had a super meal in the seafood restaurant, cost about £15/£17 lobster, prawns and some very nice fish. I also ate at the beach bar, barbecue very nice and had pizza a couple of times yummy. Wine was quite pleasant greatly improved from what was available a few years ago in Eygpt. Spent most of time in or around the pool - nothing wrong with the towels always clean and soft. The pools were kept very clean used to watch the boys clean them every night from the pool bar. Yes we did drink out of plastic glasses but thats a health and safety thing for drinks around a pool. If we had a drink in the evening the barman always gave me my beer in a large glass (and no I didn't tip him to do it). The spa was great had a superb massage for £40 which lasted at least 2 hours great value. Didnt use the gym forgot my trainers but that looked very good as well. Walk along the promanade both during the day and especially at night. A newly built pier with seating can be found and about 10 min walk there is this fabulous building with coloured fountains looks fantastic at night. Although not fully opened yet there are shops and restaurants to be found as well. If you are looking for loads of shops or nightlife then Eygpt is probably not for you but if you are looking for lots of sun a place to relax and unwind then it is.
