“Excellent holiday! Fourth visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2013 via mobile

Brilliant holiday.
Asian restaurant is superb and thank you to Eslam, Mahmood and chef.
Oriental restaurant and Hossan and his team are marvellous.
Mexican restaurant and Karam and Sabray are wonderful.
The Italian is ok if you want pizza and pasta, don't expect much more.
Animation team are improving everyday. Thank you Cico and Fern for my washboard stomach from stretching.
Get a cab into Hurghada town, brilliant experience, loads of shops to haggle at, chat to the locals and plenty of places to eat.
If you get a dodgy tun, aniseed and peppermint tea and eat the contents of a yellow label teabag. Sorted!
John the jeweller makes lovely things but he wants you to spend time chatting and always wants to up the agreed price. Just say no and smile and he'll make it anyway.
Bag shop and papyrus shop at Garden Beach are worth a visit and haggle strong to get good deals.
Cannot fault this place at all. But the hotel could recognise the loyalty for having been four times and maybe a gold band or royal breakfast one day would have done this. Go here and relax and enjoy, they can't do enough for you. Please treat the staff with courtesy, smile and say thank you. Costs you nothing and worth more than gold to them. Enjoy

What can we say!

Although our daughter, her husband and our grandchildren have been a few times, this was our first time in Egypt. From the moment we arrived the staff at the hotel were excellent. We were very quickly processed through check-in and shown to our rooms, which was great after a long flight.

We had booked garden view rooms, these were on the ground floor but very close to the pool area and near to the beach. The pool attendants, especially the two Ahmeds were excellent. Very attentive and looked after our every need for the entire holiday, and also Samy who was with us for
the first few days but then moved to the beach area.

We were in rooms 20000 block and our room attendant Mohammad was one of the best. It was our daughter's birthday while we were there and he decorated her room which was truly a work of love and art. Thank you Mohammad for attention to such detail. The children loved the animals you made out of the bed covers and towels.

We also have to commend the Animation Team. What a great team!! I understand that most of them were new themselves but they sure made us feel welcome. To Cico, Nimo, Ebru, Fern and of course our Irish Dancer (the great Fabio Flatley). Still working on getting Fabio a world tour with Riverdance. (Apologies if we have forgotten someone - this includes the lovely blonde girl who only at arrived the day before we left).

Exercises were good with Aqua Aerobics and Pilates classes. My husband is still recovering!!

Thanks must also go to Laura (who helped to arrange our daughter's birthday party at the Italian restaurant) and also to Nina who went to great lengths to try to resolve an issue we had with the on-site clinic.

As we were only at the resort for one week we didn't get to try all the restaurants. Italian was very good but wouldn't recommend the Oriental. The night we ate there was very hot and only option was to eat outside so no air conditioning and the food not that great.

One word of warning - if you have to make use of the medical clinic make sure you ask the cost before you ask for ask for any advice!!!! With no treatment whatsoever this can be costly.

A great hotel with excellent staff and had a wonderful holiday. Thanks to all and we would certainly come back.

Mamlouk and Garden Beach are next to each other and belong to the same company , which gives you the benefit of using both hotels , while we stay at Garden Beach, We have have eaten in Mamlouk and used the pool and and facilties , The Food is better in Mamlouk and is more laid back than Garden Beach , The accomodation is modern and light and airy , would highly recommend you give Mamlouk a try, very family friendly , Staff are excellent cannot fault any of them , Will be returning next year for the 3rd time , Can't wait

Room Tip: Ground Floor Rooms face on to the swimming pools , so able to walk out on terrace and in to the poo...

Check in at reception was very quick and efficient thanks to Hassan.
Our room was nicely presented and kept very clean for the whole 7 nights stay, Ibrahim could'nt do enough for us.
The 2 large pools are kept clean and have ample sunbeds for all guests. Khalid, Ahmed M Yemini are just to name a few are always there to help guests with beds, towels and safety.
We ate breakfast in the Italian, a nice calm environment to help start the day. Sayed always remembers repeater guests and what they prefer.
The various pool bars on both the Mamlouk and the garden beach are always well stocked and have some very nice staff, Garden beach you will find Aymen and Salama and Mamlock little Ahmed.
Going to the Mexican is a must, the food is to die for. The attentive staff under the watchful eye of Hamada never let your glass empty. When you have visited one of the 4 ala carte restruants time to chill in the Lobby Bar with Alaa Samy keeping the drinks flowing or sitting on the large terrace watching the world go by. One thing we did miss this year was the always smiling Alaa (the sheisha man), who would always find guests a table even when non seem to be available.
Thank you to Nina on guest services, who everyday takes time out to make sure that guests are happy.

This is our 4th visit to this hotel, yes you will read reviews about some nationalities that are rude, Just ignore them and make the most of your own holiday. The staff in this hotel cannot do enough for guests who appriciate their hard work, sometimes a thank you to them is all that is required.

Great hotel, Great Staff, Great Weather and all in a great location. We will return

Just returned from 2 weeks at the Mamlouk, well what can I say, a great hotel with great amenities. The staff truly make you feel so welcome with their " Welcome home" greetings as you first walk in the door. And you do feel at home. I have to give a special mention to some of the staff especially Shabaan who cleaned our room every day and always made me smile with the way he arranged our towels on the bed in the shape of peacocks, elephants and even people. Ahmed at the pool was always willing to help and the full entertainment team; Fern, Fabio and Uhar always tried to get you involved. A really nice touch was that the front office manager Waleed Omar was coming around every day to check we were all ok and asking if there was anything they could do to make our stay better. The food was ok with a large selection. The rooms were immaculate and over all I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Also big thanks to Nina and Daria the holiday concierge who were helpful and friendly throughout our stay. We booked our boat, snorkelling day trip with Sultan who we found to be honest, helpful and very straight about the trip and the pricing, he was also our weather man giving daily advise about the temperatures. We also did the day t rip to Luxor through Thomas Cook, which although this was an interesting and informative trip, we found the journey of 5 hours each way, the very high temperatures with lack of shade and also the pricing we found expensive. We also could not understand how we were charged for water and when we stopped for the lunch which was included in the price we had to still buy soft drinks/water if we wanted any fluid. We would not recommend this trip to people with young children as the day is long and hot.

Excellent family holiday, upgraded to a family room which provided us with an amazing beach view from the balcony.

Only twenty minute transfer from the airport, everything you need in the Hotel you don't need to leave. Only advice is to book the specialist resturants as early as you can.

Room Tip: Upgrade to a family room if available
