“It was the best holiday ever!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2013 via mobile

We (4 boys) were in this hotel in may 2013. The hole hotel and the rooms were very clean and big enough. The pool and the beach were great. The employers were very friendly and nice. Above all the animators Fabio and Jackson were super, we had a lot of fun with them. All in all everything was wonderful.

The hotel is just worth its evaluation from clients at Tripadvisor. It fulfilled our expectations as a resort for resting with comfort. Rooms are nice furnished, large enough. Of course it depends which room you will be getting. The first floor's rooms are at the garden level, and it means that despite the fact of see orientation you cannot expect too much from the view – some bushes and partly the pools, however it's better then to look on the the dirty street:-)
The kitchen in the hotel in nice and there is a big variety of meals. There are many free sitting places either in- or outside anytime. This fact is also to mention related to the garden with pools – there is still a lot of free places, everywhere is clean and tide. Personal is helpful and mostly kind as far as the all-inclusive is an pre-payed service which does not bring the personal any tip... At the evening the waiters made sometimes up to admirable effort, this but was to see in the main restaurant Tamarin only. Another situation was at beach in Tanga restaurant – here 5 waiters were standing around the counter, however if you wanted something, you have to call them or to go to bring yourself. Many of them were very familiar and cheerful. There various quite nice long drinks in the offer, however all spirits (all-inclusive) taste horrible. Wine offered was relative nice (under condition that it is all-inclusive, because otherwise I wouldn’t drink such a quality on the restaurant).
Water: There is a pool (in- and also outside) with heated salt water (33°C), a lot of fresh water with various entertainments which in early May looked quite empty and of course the see, which is a part of the hotel. The area in see for swimming is approx 100x100m with depth of max 1,5m... If you but want to see something in the see, you have to take a tour with the ship. The hotel includes free entrance to fitness, there is free sauna and whirlpools, lazy river, volleyball, etc.
Every evening there where a show, sometimes very interesting, in the restaurant at the beach a group of musicians played, in lobby a player o piano or violin, every day an other.
There is WiFi free in Lobby, however VERY slow, if you wanted it in the room, you have to pay 350LE (approx 40€) per week.
The hotel itself is a nice building and resort with variety of entertainments and despite small imperfections, which are mostly related with the nature of Egyptian people, is very nice facility which I only can recommend. It is pity, but there is not clear summary of all entertainments and activities, which are included in all-inclusive package (there are e.g. diving course, golf course, bicycles, limited laundry service/person, etc.) There were various animation programs, but no one was interesting – dancing, some sports, stretching, aerobic, etc. It was may be a combination of to lazy clients & to weak promotion...
I am not very familiar with Egypt, however I visited several dozens of countries over the world and for me belongs Egypt to most dirty country (sorry to all Egyptians people, but that’s the fact). Cairo is most dirties cities I have ever seen taking in account big cities in South America, Asia or some African cities.
We made a trip to desert on quad motorbikes, however please take the description of the program with a grain of salt. Of course it was a fan, however to “see the sun set” means in transcription actually waiting for a shadow behind a hill, watching the stars means look over your head, etc. Egyptians are traders and they try to persuade you about the high quality of cheap staff they offer.
Be careful with taxi drivers, agree still the price before starting the trip. I was told this, but the taxi driver didn’t answered me and I didn’t demanded more. But at the end he asked me 130LE instead of 40LE which is normal price for the trip. Than after the trip you are in difficult situation to “trade” the price. So make the price clear before you sit in the car!
Enjoy your stay in Steingenberg, I can surely recommend it to you.

Really can't find words to describe our happiness by our stay at this great hotel, Very friendly staff, very clean room/environment, Perfect wide room with a fantastic view, Simba Kids Club is wonderful for kids, And we also enjoyed the main pool, beach is very wide & classy.

The only concern is that the food is not very good on the same level of all other services.

Strongly recommended for couples, honeymooners & families.

Big Thanks for the hotel management & all staff for this great vacation.

Of coarse we will come again soon ISA :)

Just had 4 nights at the Steigenberger . Excellent Hotel and facilities. Amazing Pool and Lazy River ! The Buffet food was outstanding we also enjoyed dinning at the Lebanese restaurant which had plenty of choice.Wish had stayed longer to dine at the Mediterranean restaurant as well.

The Staff were really polite and helpful and a special thanks to the Tony and the Animation team who organise the day and evening entertainment. They were always enthusiastic and fun without being pushy. Jackson's Water aerobics was an unexpected laugh !

Room Tip: All rooms are very good on the north side you have good view of pool and are away from the entertain...
