In Europe, this would be a normal 2-star hotel. It is far from 3-star and 4-star is only a far-away dream. If you can get it for a very very small rate then take it. If not, stay away because it will ruin your vacation.
First of all it is very important to tip the receptionist. Give him 30-50 pounds and ask for a good room with balcony in one of the buildings close to the beach. If you don't do that, you will end up in a gloomy room in the main building with a "wonderful" view over the landfill next door. The main street is there too, so you should not expect to sleep during the night.
The hotel is clean, but everything is old and the bad smell is everywhere. The bath tub was rusty and the door lock broken.
The food is terrible. There is no diversity and no variation. You have to eat the same food everyday and they mainly offer Egiptian food. The service is incredible low. If you pay for all inclusive, you will have the chance to choose between two soft drinks. You can choose any of them because they are 99% water and 1% artificial flavor.
In the evening, after the dinner, there is nothing happening in the hotel. You have too options: you can either go to sleep hoping that everything is a bad dream or go out in the main street where the street vendors will harass you to buy very low quality goods they call "souvenirs".
The water is wonderful, but the hotel's private beach is quite narrow and you cannot enter the water without water shoes because of the stones.
