“Disappointed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2013

Considering this was 5* the food choice was not great and local wines not worth having. Great that there was an adult only restaurant for the evening. Not enough entertainment for the evening. Whilst rooms were average and attended daily the floors were not cleaned and bathroom drains flooded on two occasions. Area was good and hotel lounge and reception areas were plush. On a positive staff were helpful and friendly. Wouldn't choose this hotel again.

Just back from 9 nights at the titanic beach and spa it was a fantastic holiday had a ground floor room opening onto pool area. Our room was large and clean with fridge stocked each day as part of the all inclusive. Staff were all great aqua park fun beach area good too. We enjoyed our food and drink and had wall to wall sunshine and at the price couldn't ask for more. We will go back to this hotel

Room Tip: On arrival they offer you a swim up room upgrade for extra cost. Don't take it the standard room...

This hotel is not for you if you want a small intimate place as it is very large, but great for families. On the positive side it has plenty of facilities including an Aqua Park, beach area with organised snorkeling, daily and evening entertainment, keep fit programme throughout the day, spa, massage and beauty facilities. Food is OK with quite a wide variety of choice and the chefs are happy to cook things for you i.e. omlettes at breakfast and steaks in the evening etc. There is a restaurant for adults only. The speciality al a carte restaurants are particularly nice though on the all-inclusive basis you are only allowed to use one of them once per week. Staff are very helpful. On the negative side you do get pestered to use the massage and beauty facilities and these are not particularly cheap, if you are interested it definitely pays to bargain to get the price down. Smoking can also be a bit of a problem if you are a non-smoker as the smokers get the prime areas and the non-smokers have to walk through these areas to get anywhere. Entertainment club area is thick with smoke which is very unhealthy especially if you have any kind of breathing problem. There is a large number of high Russians in the hotel and they seem to like smoking. Not much else in the area to do apart from organised trips and go into Hurghada itself where you get pestered to buy their souvenirs. Would highly recommend the Mega Quad Bike trip, well organised and staff great, though Health & Safety is not brilliant like the rest of Egypt.

Room Tip: If you find it difficult to walk ask for a room on the ground floor near the reception and restaura...

Four of us stayed in this hotel rooms 2210 and 2213. Very spacious with nice views, well stocked fridge (soft drinks only) and nice comfy beds with crispy white linen. Very large balcony and enormous shower! Food was OK, not brilliant but there was always something new to try plus a barbecue on the go every night. 3 of our party were ill for some of the week and we can only think it was the cleanliness in the restaurant as the plates had food remains on them frequently, the cups were chipped and the plastic glasses were often cracked. We always had to clean the cutlery before use as well. However, coffee was good, plenty of choices of tea, omelettes were excellent in the mornings. Didn't drink any alcohol myself but my friends said the drinks were very weak. Reception were hopeless and only helped you if they wanted to, which was very irritating when our transfer back to the airport didn't turn up!!!! Hurghada airport was one of the best airports I have been in, very big, lots of shops - had a bit of a market feel to it. The weather was lovely each day, a bit windy towards the end, the trips we went on were good, Giftun Island and snorkelling, glass bottom boat and city tour. The room staff were excellent as well. Didn't have any dealings with the Animation Team but one of our party went to the African show and disco one night and said it was brilliant. Didn't try the Aqua Park. So to sum up our stay, it was nice and the hotel looked impressive but the kitchen could do with a shake up on the hygiene front. If you get the Egypt tummy, Immodium is useless you need to go to the chemist (1 minute walk on right out of hotel front entrance) and get some anti bacterial tablets which clear it up straight away. Chemist is brilliant! We took a kettle and made our own tea and coffee with bottled water and had instant porridge on the days when tummy wasn't good, DON'T DRINK TAP WATER EVEN FOR CLEANING YOUR TEETH!!!!! I would recommend taking cuppa soups and instant porridge for 'off' days. Water is hard so take hair conditioner!!!!! Be careful of getting ripped off, you can easily pay £10 for a tube of toothpaste if you are not careful. Change your money to Egyptian pounds in reception when you get there, the rate is much better. Have a lovely holiday!!!!!!!!!!
