“Great hotel - lovely spacious rooms - pity about the food!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2013

Firstly, the spacious comfortable rooms with balconies were fantastic - entrance foyer and public areas impressive - private beach and jetty delightful - enough pools and pool area to escape from rude Russians - all in all a very large but lovely hotel - most of the staff friendly and helpful - BUT...the food overall was very disappointing, not inedible but tasteless and much of the same - as for the a la carte restaurants, it is best to not bother, especially the Indian restaurant where the food and service was disgusting. Food aside, and you will not go starving, this hotel is to be recommended for all its other qualities.

My expectations of this place were not great due to the reviews on here, I was however pleasantly surprised...

Accommodation was great, we had a family room which had two seperate bedrooms and a large bathroom... It was kept clean and the towel animals were a lovely touch and a nice surprise to come home to every day...

Being February, this was winter in Hurghada, the temperatures were fine for us and there was plenty of sunshine for sunbathing... My only quibble in this area would be that the pools were extremely cold and could do with some form of heating...

Food was nothing exceptional, but we never went hungry... The BBQ always has something nice to offer and the bread and rolls etc were always exceptional... The drinks which were part of the all inclusive were good, but the beer is far too fizzy and left me farting and belching like a trooper...
There is a McDonalds just a very short taxi ride away which provides huge big meals at great value, they also deliver if you're that way inclined...

The games room was great, and reasonably priced... The tenpin bowling lanes are great fun but some of the pool tables are a little bit wonky to say the least... There is also Russian billiard tables for the Russian contingent, which looks like a good game and one I will be learning prior to my next visit!!!
Opposite the games room is the 'nightclub', where you can find nightly entertainment... The party goes on until the small hours and is well worth a look for the scantily clad slimline Russian women and their fat overweight partners...

You get the usual harassment from people trying to sell trips and spa treatments etc, but they soon get the message once you have told them you're not interested...

The water park looks like good fun, but did not give it a go this time...

If you're expecting to make lots of friends at this place, you will be disappointed, unless you can speak Russian, Polish or German... English speakers are outnumbered by at least 20 to 1 in this resort...
I have no real problems with this place and would not hesitate in going back for another visit...

Room Tip: Ground floor rooms for direct access to the sunshine and pools etc...

My wife and I have just returned from Egypt where we spent five days at this hotel before travelling to Luxor for a Nile cruise.
This hotel is quite large and has a sister hotel adjoining where the a-la-carte restaurants are situated. The hotel is large with an impressive array of swimming pools. However, having landed there on 1st February the pools were understandably cold but were used by a number of people. The aqua park was busy for the five days we were there and seemed to be enjoyerd by those using it. The beach seemed to be compacted sand and firm under-foot and again, understandably, the sea was cold as well. There was a constant sea wind but there are windbreaks with the sunbeds which offered shelter.
The rooms were a decent size and clean, the showerroom was also a decent size, there was a complementary safe and the room fridge was restocked each day with Coca Cola and Sprite as well as bottled water.
We had no problems with the food but if you been all-inclusive to Egypt before you know what to expect. The meals seem to be tailored to east European taste but even I as a fussy eater didn't starve to death. The 24 hour bar on the groundfloor coped well with the number of people there and the waiters were hard working and appreciative of any tips.
There is a bank in the shopping area at the hotel but be aware that there seems to be a problem in getting smaller bank notes.
Internet was avaible for 4 euros a half hour or 6 for an hour.
This is a nice hotel and we encountered no problems at all and found sunbeds round the pool with ease - no getting up at daft o'clock to reserve.
I'm not sure how things would run if the hotel was at full capacity but for visiting at the start of February to remind yourself what the sun looks like in winter it is brilliant and we would recommend to anyone to do so and if we come back to Egypt in the winter again we will be happy to use this hotel again.

Room Tip: If you use the gym (which is superbly equipped) you will need to have 'closed toe footwear'...

Well my experience of Titanic.............got off the plane to be greated by a swarm of reps waving bill boards in your face a very scary experience. Got to passport control to be charged £13.00 each for a visa ( a shock when you are not expecting this). Spent an hour waiting in airport for our bus which un be known was waiting for us and the rep had sent us to the wrong transfer compnay. Finally arrived at hotel, check in was very smooth and we were sorted out very quickly and efficiently. Arrived to our rooms which were very clean but very dated but comfortable all the same. Staff were very helpful and settled us in. The only let down for me was the lack of re-filling the fridge. I have been on numerous all inclusives and have had alcohol stocked in fridge but this was no available here. My self and my husband like a drink in the room but we ended up having to pay £10.00 for a bottle of vodka as they will not provide any alcohol in bottles on by the glass and will charge you if you want a bottle.

Beach - Lovely beach toilets immaculate, staff very friendly. Beach bar not so clean dirty plates left out for birds to peck at. There is an overkill of flys you do not get a minutes peace when sunbathing as they attack you all day. All in all beach very nice.

Pool - Dont expect to swim in the pool when you go as it is freezing. Due to kerasin shortage problem they do not heat the pool and it is unbearable. Pool very clean (as not used) and very pretty at night. Pool bar great entertainment in day and staff are great. Expect to be harrassed by the trip organisers who are constantly around trying to sell you external trips. I counted 8 in one hour that came to us, massages beauty treatments boat trips quad biking etc etc so annoying. Tip the pool boys and you will ahve guarenteed beds in area of choice for the whole of your stay. Do not tip the waitors you tip them once and you do not see them again too busy chatting up the single ladies.

Food - Food is geared up towards the russians but I have to be fair there was always something to eat and the food was always very hot. Resturants do get extremely busy and again there is a problem with flys and birds (not good for my husband who has a phobia of birds). The lady outside cooking the pitta type things they are lovely we took one each back to room every night. Do not bother with themed resturants they are pathetic.

Entertainment - We travelled with our two 16 year old sons and they were bored stiff. The enteratinment is shocking and we found ourselves in the room by 9pm watching FOX movies. Aqua park was ok not great they bragg to be the biggest in hurgada but the jungle hotel and aqua park which you can see off the beach is by far bigger and better. Pool tables and internet etc available but shcking these had to be paid for £6 an hour!!

Overall - It was a very nice hotel and I cannot even complain about the food because it was very nice, the staff were friendly but the Russians just spoilt it. They are the majority and most of them were rude and did not know how to queue. There is something missing with this hotel and definately needs some atmosphere and good entertainment. Would I go back NO not enough going on for me. The rooms could do with a revamp 2156 and 2155 and the pool situation needs to be addressed.

We went to titanic in August as soon as we arrived home booked to go again next year, This Holiday was great value for money. There is always plenty to do from the pool to the water park to beach and Jetty, There was always a good selection of food I must admit this was one of the better all inclusive hotels. I can not fault this hotel cleanliness is good the staff were friendly and professional at all times, One of the things that most impressed me were the staff at the water park were very strict on safety something lacking at other hotels we have visited, All I can say is this is a great all round Family hotel which we enjoyed greatly.

We have just returned from this holiday and overall, it was a good holiday. There were some issues but nothing very serious.
The holiday was split into 3 parts and different agents were responsible for each one.
First, on arrival in Hurghada ourselves and another couple were not collected from the airport to transfer to the hotel but after about half an hour the meeting reps arranged for a mini van to take us to the Titanic beach.
The Titanic Beach Hotel is quite nice and with the Titanic Palace next door, becomes a very big hotel. The hotel is 17 kilometers from Hurghada and there is nothing close by. My only issue with this hotel was the food, not the best and quite often cold. Also I did not find the rep provided by the company helpful, as once he realised we were not going to book any trips, he lost interest. The waterpark is brilliant for the kids and you can walk out into the sea for ages and still only be knee deep.
Second, we were told the transfer to Luxor would be at midday but 2 days before, we received a message through the door to tell us to be ready for collection at 7:45. The transfer took 6 1/2 hours, twice as long as it took us the last time we did this in the convoy 9 yrs ago. On the coach the rep sold those of us that wanted them, tours whilst in Luxor and on the boat.
Third, we were booked onto the Nile Elite. There were only 8 English, 40 odd Germans and a couple of French and a couple of Egyptions. On booking we upgraded to the Nile Elite as it was said to be a better boat than the other boat option (I think it was the Seranade) we also paid for a cabin upgrade yet on check in, everyone was upgraded as the lower deck was being revamped. So even though we had paid for and requested a twin, when they checked us in, all the twin rooms on the upper deck were gone and if we wanted a twin we had to downgrade to the main deck.
After check in we met with the rep and on learning that some of us had booked our trips on the coach, he had a hissy fit and blew a gasket. He screamed at us that what we had done was illegal and we should cancel (which we refused to do). Then he told us that we HAD to pay £27 each for tips for the crew. After this I am afraid none of us trusted him and those of us that did not book trips with him avoided him for the rest of the trip.
The boat was OK but not as posh as many of the others in service but the food was better than the hotels but the beds we had were a bit old and saggy. Drinks on board had to be paid for and they were a rip off. £1 UK for a bottle of water, £1:40 UK for a soft drink or coffee and alcohol was VERY expensive.
The 1 week trip was actually completed in 3 days. We came on board on Monday but did not set sail until after lunch on Tuesday. After a very slow sail we arrived in Aswan at 9pm on Wednesday. We left Aswan to return to Luxor at 2pm on Friday and arrived back in Luxor 24hrs later at 2pm on Saturday. We then had until lunch time on Monday to amuse ourselves or go on trips. At one stage we English were the only ones left on board as all the 'old' passengers had left leaving us alone until the 'new' passengers strarted to arrive the next day.
A main gripe on board was that even though the boat was half empty during the week and very empty (apart from us 8 English) during that one day, we English were all squashed onto one table and even though we asked to be spread out more we were told this was not possible. Luckily, we all got on and it quite made the holiday.
The transfer to the airport went well and Luxor airport is not as bad as some people have made it out to be.
All in all, you get what you pay for and this holiday was value for money plus the weather was lovely even though the water was a little too cold for me
