The service of the hotel is very good and welcoming, although can be expensive in the a la carte dining room. However in saying this, you would forget you were dining in Egypt, and you get what you pay for plus a pleasant dining experience.

Remember Hurghada can be windy and not always as warm as other resorts on the Red Sea. However, you can always head back o our room which should have a patio to sunbathe on in the sun and out of the wind. Take your kindle with you.

Room Tip: A room with its own patio not far from the pool area.

Despite low occupancy, the service was outstanding, with every attention to detail. The rooms were very spacious, with a luxury bathroom. The food was like something off 'MasterChef' EVERY NIGHT, and the staff were courteous and attentive. Excellent.

Room Tip: we had a room on the beach front which meant we could pop back for books, loo etc.

"I made the right choice by choosing the Oberoi Sahl Hasheesh for 3 days business trip for 77 people of the management team. It was an outdoor team building activity that requires a lot of arrangements, logistics and set up that you would need to be handled very carefully and promptly. I was accepting the fact that there will be a percentage of issues that might arise due to the large number of people as well as the extensive/specific arrangements required.

My experience started when I dropped an email to the sales office to contact me, wherein I found few minutes later the Sales Manage calling me and he really amazed me with his customer orientation attitude and how he was following up the details of arrangements while he was in a business trip out of country.

The moment I stepped into the main gate, the security guard walked around the bus to greet each and every person with a big smile, followed by The Sales Manager staying out the hotel to greet the group and he accompanied us to the greeting lounge were the whole group had a welcoming drink and the room keys as all the check-in arrangements were done before our arrival.

The place, the food, the arrangements and the customer service during the 3 days were definitely above the expected norms that I have not seen anywhere in Egypt or in many other countries that I have visited abroad.

The staff is trained with extraordinary norms of customer service orientation; they just facilitate promptly WHATEVER you ask them for.

The rooms are amazing and the quality of food is far beyond Excellency. The food and beverage manager has also gone the extra mile and offered a barbeque dinner on the pool. It was clear that each and every member of the team is doing his far best to make the experience very special.

I am here to give them a hats-off for the unforgettable experience that we had."

Please allow us to introduce ourselves, we are Michael & Engy, we had the pleasure of spending three nights celebrating my wife’s Birthday at your lovely hotel from 30th November till 3rd December, 2012.

We seize this opportunity to thank you and all your professional team for your help in making it a wonderful celebration and specially the amazing Suite#222 with the breathtaking panoramic view of the Red Sea and the landscape.

We wanted to thank Mr. Mahmoud-FO who made the check-in and escorted us throughout the hotel describing and illustrating every place, he was very professional informative and friendly.
Mr. Al Awal, Mr. Farouk and all team at The Restaurant where we had our breakfast, also Mr. Hany-F&B who always recommended the most delicious food during our Dinner and specially his recommendation for the Kabab Selection plate from Zaafran Indian Restaurant and at this point we would like to give a very special thanks to the Executive Chef who made us felt that every portion of the plate had a significant mouthwatering taste as it was made with real passion.
Special thanks to Mr. Abdelfattah-Beach who took us every day for almost 45 minutes snorkeling at the wonderful Red Sea giving us the most amazing experience of a life time.
As for Mr. Magdy-HK we would like to point out that you have a real talented decor artist at your hotel, as every day he transformed our suite into a spectacular, astonishing place creating artistic designs using just towels and candles, until the check-out they all took care of us like we were king & queen.

Last but not least we would like to give a very special thanks to Mr. Alaa El Sayed-FOM as he was the person behind all this by calling us before we arrive and asking about any special requirements and how he can make this celebration an unforgettable experience and he made sure that all details were taken care of and in fact he showed us an outstanding level of hospitality and professionalism.

Once again thank you for this unforgettable experience and however we would have planned for our celebration it we would have not been made as wonderful as you and your professional team made it.

We were not sure to expect when we booked this holiday - we just needed to get away to relax before the Christmas enslaught.

We arrived and were welcomed with a cold drink and refreshing chilled towel - exactly what we needed having cleared customs and passport control quite easily.

Shown to our suite - luxury abounds! We had been upgraded to a suite with its own private swimming pool!

The staff, service, food and ambience could not be faulted - part of the fun was returning to the room to see what 'animal' had been created out of towels.

The room was spacious as they all are, the grounds were beautifully kept and the beach was clean. The sea was wonderfully clear and the coral was fantastic - excellent for snorkelling or diving.

You are a little far away from 'downtown' but that suited us and although we did venture downtown the standard there was not the same as at the Oberoi so we did not linger long.

We are certainly planning to return in the not too distant future!

actually My husband and i went to red sea for vacation in 2009 after a couple months we got married and we stayed in Oberoi for 3 days we booked grand suite room with a private pool. the suites room is luxury and fabulous with pretty surounding and romatic treat, the food was really nice, best service, beautiful beach. the good thing is they have Masjid for muslim so my husband can pray there specially for Jum'ah prayer. but my only complaints will be (regading my privacy as a covered muslim woman) that the man who bring breakfast meal should come into the room after asking permission and the guest let him in eventhough the door unlocked, make sure the bell can be heard from the pool. and the other thing is the restaurant service is a bit slow, overall is excellent,I will recommend. next time vacation we will stay in Oberoi in Bali.

Lot of space.
Excelent service.
Nice beach.
Big rooms.
One of the best hotel I have ever been.
Only issue: far away from city = need for a taxi to go dowtown.

The request from the site to have a minimum of 200 words is useless...

Just spent two weeks at the oberoi, the accomodation was a large king bed suite with a seperate sitting area. There are two large flat screen TVs in each suite a private courtyard with dining area and sun loungers. The rooms are tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The bathroom is large with shower and sunken bathroom in granite and the toiletries are replaced daily or if you run short on request. The whole complex is kept remarkably clean by the staff.
