About 350 apartments horseshoed around two swimming and a toddler’s pool. Despite its name this is not resort that will appeal to most Brits or western Europeans. The flats consist of a through lounge/kitchen, 1 or 2 bedrooms, toilet/shower and about two thirds have a big enough balcony for sitting out. They are basic but pleasant enough. The compound is full of screaming children until the early hours. If you are lucky they will quieten down by about 3AM. When approached the resort agree it is terrible that this is happening and fail to do anything about it. The brochure offers 4 star deluxe services. Apart from the housekeeping, which we haven’t experienced as we are renting our apartment directly from an owner it is difficult to know what they mean. The resort restaurant/bar is shut down. Periodically they contrive to mange the pools so both are closed at the same time for cleaning. This can last for several days. Every so often our apartment has been without water for a while, on one occasion for 19 hours.
No only are we kept awake by marauding kids but woken by staff at 6am shouting to each other. If you want a cheap place to stay and can cope with the sleep patterns this venue imposes then perhaps it would be OK. We came here to live for a year or so. We are leaving after 3 months and at the time of writing have 2½ weeks left. These remaining days will be long.
