“Total chill out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2013

My wife and I have just returned from a week at the Premier le Reve - fantastic! A total chill out experience. 5 stars are all deserved. Attention to detail even extends to a guy coming round the pool every morning to clean the guests sunglasses! If you want a hotel full of life, lots of entertainment and rowdy guests........forget it! If you want complete relaxation, no noisy games, no kids, just gentle music around the pool I couldn't recommend this hotel highly enough. The spa isn't cheap, but it's worth every penny; start and finish your holiday in there. We will definitely return.

Room Tip: Ask for a pool view - The other side looks at the desert.

Lovely peaceful week at the PLR. I am not going to repeat what has been said in the hundreds of reports that have gone before it is all great.

Perhaps other travellers may find a couple of tips worth considering if planning a trip to this beautiful hotel.

If travelling from the UK no need to take adaptors there are 3 pin plug sockets in the bedrooms.

Ladies if your hair needs styling or takes a long time to dry take your own dryer, the one in the bathroom is rather slow.

The soap and shower gel is good quality therefore no need to take your own.

The walk to old Sahl takes 40-45mins but there are now small buses that will pick you up if you wave them down outside the hotel or anywhere on the promenade 5 US dollars return or 3 US dollars one way. There are push bikes to hire from the hotel and you can hire a golf buggy for around 20 US dollars takes up to 4 passengers which you can drive up and down the promenade which is good fun enabling you to stop whenever you wish These can be rented from the old town centre from a couple of different scources.
I believe the bus will be running in the evenings, if you fancy a evening walk in the old town to see the illuminated fountains in the Piazza or a look in the small number of shops that are slowly opening up .

US dollars , euros, stirling are all acceptable forms of currency in preference to Egyptian pounds which does seem slightly odd when in Egypt.

On arrival at Hurgada airport it is less hassle to turn immediatley to your left and hand over 15 US dollars or 10 pounds at the bank kiosks to pay for the obligary visa then proceed onwards. You will notice a number of men wearing white shirts and red ties holding up boards with Thomsons written on them these are NOT reps and they will they to overcharge you for the visa and are very intolerant of being asked why the want more than the set price of 15 US dollars we were pushed out of the way when we questioned them . There is no need to buy from them although they push you around to make you think you have to deal with them.

If looking for souveniers the hotel shops are pricey but they do have high rents to pay. The numerous bazaars at the airport on the way home are more reasonably priced and loads of choice if that is the kind of thing you are looking for.

The area of Sahl is growing slowly The Baron Palace to the left of PLR is still not open and looks at about the same stage of development as 12 months ago. However The Ocean Breeze to the right of thr PLR just past The Tropital looks almost open where 12 months ago this was waste land.

Entertainment is very low key quiet round the pools ,some live music in the Long Bar in the evenings. If I had to find fault at all with this hotel it would be the lack of atmospere in the Lobby Bar, Executve Lounge and in the lobby area itself in the evening. A liitle light music would be lovely to enhance the ambience of the place .

Will certainly be returning especially now there is direct access to the sea from the Jetty.

Room Tip: No need to upgrade unless you like swimming in an ondoor pool

4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

I think this hotel is very good though there were some little details that I felt let it down for its 5star rating. Firstly the positives. We stayed in a de luxe room which overlooked the pool and sea and had an 8 foot bed. The room was excellent. Always clean had a walk in closet , large bathroom with separate shower and bath. Good television choice with English films and we got to watch the England games on one of the four sports channels available so hubby was pleased. The buffet food and restaurant was ok with good choice however vegetarian options were not great and were not easily identifiable. There are three a la carte restaurants which you can visit once each per week stay which we're all nice. The fish a la carte is also a restaurant that opens as a daytime lunch location as an alternative to the buffet restaurant. There is also a japanese/ indian restaurant which you can visit at extra cost. We had the de Luxe room which gives you access to executive bar and sky pool. The executive bar serves the same drinks as lobby bar and long bar and the only extras is access to crisps nuts and some nibbles. Service was good but it was equally as good in the other bars so other guests in standard rooms get the same excellent service in all bars. The sky pool is an indoor pool sold with a vitamin bar but it closes at 7pm and I think more people would use it in the evening if it stayed open once sun went down. The things that let hotel down was maintenance. The pool toilet was not as nice as other toilets in hotel. There were some areas that needed equipment or furniture replacing that were tired some totals frayed and furniture on balcony was broken and needed replacing. There was a lot of sun bed reserving by other guests and some staff which was frustrating. The evening entertainment is poor and we resorted to drinking in bars and reading most of the time. They were all small negative things but unfortunately let hotel down for its 5 star rating . The staff however were exceptional and could not do enough for you. I noted chefs making special meals for guests will gluten allergies on request. They will make anything you ask for if they can. The pool staff did regular walk around offering fruit and regular drinks and staff cleaned your sunglasses daily. I did not use spa but the prices were on a par with home. They had an excellently fitted gym for those who partake on holiday!!! The reception staff were exceptional and very helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is not located near much. You can take a walk along promenade for 45 mins when you get to sister hotel and some shops. There is a jetty at hotel which you can do some snorkelling which is shallow enough to stand and still see coral reef which is good if you not a confident swimmer. Hire of equipment was about £5 a snorkel for the day from the aqua centre as part if hotel. Overall this hotel was great particularly if you just want a quiet chilling holiday. The staff and service were great. Would recommend

I stayed here 1 week from 22nd to 29th of March and have so many brilliant and amazing things to say about this gorgeous and lovely hotel. As soon as you enter the hotel like many have said on here you are welcomed with a refreshing towel and drink which was needed. The food in the buffet restaurant has many options at breakfast lunch and dinner you will never go hungry and the waiters are very attentive with replenishing your drinks. The al la carte restaurant are all bloody brilliant no complains at all. The room I had was lovely spacious with an amazing shower want it at home. During the day the pool staff are lovely placing your towel down Nd cleaning your glasses and offering you with a cool towel makes you feel like royalty thank you to Abdo Ahmed Mohammed they wereoutstanding. The pool bar staff Hossam, Hany, and Hany were amazing always pleseant and making some brill cocktails. Finally the night time I made some really nice friends. The night staff are amazing like Carlos in the lobby bar he certainly made some lovely cocktails and Salem in Long Bar thanks for the pina colados. Finally again the manger Mr Foqueand Moaman are always around asking if things are ok they were outstanding so we are going again 6 weeks time for ten days cant wait...

There is nothing i can say that hasn't already been said about this hotel !!, we loved every minute of being here, the staff from the manager to the guy that cleans your sunglasses by the pool are a credit to this hotel !! I'm going to leave this review short because seeing is believeing, and i would advise anyone to go here, i have already recommended Premier Le Reve to some of my friends.

The food is one of, if not the best AI we have had ! even my hubby who is one of the fussiest eaters i know ate almost everything they had to offer, especially the deserts !!

The rooms are spacious, to be honest i can't see the point of having a delux room/suite, as we had a standard room and it was above our expectations !!

The staff just cannot do enough for you and they work so very hard and all with a smile on their face.

The pool was lovely a cool, which was very welcome when it turned 35oC !

If your looking for an all singing dancing hotel this is not for you, this is a real chillout hotel, there are no games by the pool and no disco at night !! .... which suited us just fine ! it's situated away from the the town but close enough to get a taxi ! .. it was the perfect place for us, and i really do envy anyone going there.

Would i return to Premier Le Reve ?? ..... in a heartbeat !!

Room Tip: room 1409 faces away from the pool ..... but..... it has most of the late afternoon sun, and has am...
