“A pleasure to return there for a second time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW via mobile

Just got back from a package deal with Thomson. Last year we did the same trip but in April. Great flights, super smooth transfer. The new terminal at Hurghada airport demonstrates just how shabby some of our UK airports are.
Check in is really easy as an envelope with room keys, towel cards and other info awaits. No queuing. No credit cards to be swiped.
We arrived as the main restaurant was about to close but the four corners restaurant remained open until midnight for us.

We had emailed a week or so ahead requesting a room as close to the sea as poss. (We had already booked a superior, sea view). We were given 4256.
Top floor (2nd floor) ....literally the room looking straight out to sea.

We knew what to expect from our stay and weren't disappointed. We paid 25 euros per day and had one of the shadey 'beach lodges' for a couple of days. So quiet and relaxing. Didn't need to move unless for food as waiter brought us drinks every 30 mins.

Our room was very quiet and cleaned thoroughly each day. The cleaner couldn't do enough for us. If we wanted more of anything. .....He sorted it. No charge.

We have stayed in a few hotels in Egypt and there is a simple reason we come back here. It's the best.

Travel tips
1. We didn't take any local currency -no need! purchases and tips are welcome in £, $, €.
2. Last year we were savaged by mosquitoes. This year we took 'buzz off' spray. Worked a treat.
3. Book into as many of the 4 bookable restaurants. Stroll up to the booking terminals in reception mid afternoon to book a couple of days in advance.
4. The sea is effectively a pond
...so shallow even at high tide.
5. Be prepared for poor wifi. It seems to have deteriorated since last year.
6. Lots of Germans, Poles and Russians. We experienced no issue. In fact makes for interesting watching!! ...Egypt Ian genuinely love the British for their manners and patience.

Will we go back? ABSOLUTELY

1. Reception staff is very unfriendly and looks like they wish you to go to the hell, very angry .
2. Food quality and choice is like in no more then 3 star resort (most of is is far oversalted), lack of fruits as only baby bananas and oranges , just some watermelon for eve tea.
3. Rooms.... had to change one after the 1st night of stay, as the main air conditioning units on the roof are so noisy as even makes internal ceiling cladding boards vibrate all day and all night long, so we been moved from top floor to the 1st, but we still heard it, and doesn;t wanted go back to reception again as not worth because of reason in line 1.
4.Other resort guests... 70%- russian and polish, 20 - romanian or bulgarian gypsies, 10%- english , german, holland.
so keep all your stuff with you as i get my sunglasses stolen. Get realy sick of polish singing and shouting over the night.
5.Animation team. it contains russian, ukrainian ar some local lads, who are so boring and most of time rusty , i just cant understand how they getting jobs like these.
6. more and more to tell, but my cat is typing for me so will be enough .

Room Tip: try to avoid a top floor rooms, as main air conditioning units on the roof are very noisy.

Absolutely fantastic. Hotel is amazing. It's a very large complex but has everything from active areas to chill out areas. Food was great something for everyone but most of all the staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Great beach location and our room was right on the beach couldn't have picked a better room. Great snorkelling from the beach onto the reef. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. Thanks to all the staff for their warm hospitality.

We stayed here a few weeks bad. The food is drool, service is slow and back chatty as well as NOT being 5 star but 4 at best. The wi-fi signal is very week and you have to pay £10 extra when you run out of it. You get One bottle of water per room per stay or pay £3 extra. Everything is extra extra pay for. We will never be back here. It was Aw - Aw - Aw ful!!!!

There were multiple problems before arriving. The hotel decided to charge my card not once , twice but THREE times, despite clear communication not too well in advance. When I arrived at the airport, shock horror there was no transfer, which I had paid for. Instead I had to risk it with the locals at double the price. On arrival all staff are expecting tips for saying hello to you. Despite arriving at 4am I still had to pay the full price for the full day. The room is poor - see the photos, tired, tatty and not clean. Highly disappointing. And if it is 5 star then I am Elvis Presley. Lots of scratched, chipped wood, cracked sink surround and dirty mould and sealants everywhere. The food is bland and very repetitive. I was on the toilet the whole stay. The best bit of the breakfast is the fact they use proper Nutella. On complaining to the dep Manager and Front of House Manager, there was no refund of a night or taxi , just empty apologies and promises they did not keep. The fish restaurant reminds me of a 1 star restaurant in Bognor Regis - nothing fresh despite being at the sea. "We can't, the hotel is so large". It was shocking, baby food and minging. I was forced to pay for the meal despite being horrendous. Overall I was highly disappointed, the prices for the mini bar are sky high and the place is not child friendly but a death trap and somewhere never to go back to again.

Room Tip: Away from bar as there is blazing music until midnight

We have just returned from Jaz Aquamarine after a week there during May half term. We cannot speak highly enough of our experience here. From the moment we arrived, welcomed with a cool towel and a drink, to the moment we left, it was a 5 star experience.

We (a family of 4) had booked our first trip to Egypt and were quite unsure what to expect. We had a swim up room (highly recommend doing this if the option is there), which was clean and tidy and very spacious. On our first night we did encounter a small issue with a lot of ants in the room, but with a quick visit to reception, this was dealt with immediately by one of their team and a can of insect spray, much to the happiness of our children, and apart from the odd one or two it was the end of the ants.
The rest of the week the room was always cleaned and left spotless, with towel ornaments every day on the bed.

The grounds of the hotel are immaculate and constantly tended too and even with all the heat were always colourful. The pools were always clean, tidy, never too busy, always plenty of sunbeds and a good service by their staff asking if you needed any drinks.

We visited 3 of the a la carte restaurants (seafood, Italian, Lebanese), the food in all 3 were amazing and would be well worth booking to eat there. The food in the other 2 restaurants we visited (Topaz and 4 corners) were just as good with different menus on offer every day.

We did visit the mini disco they have, but we did find the theatre room very very hot, too hot to visit there every evening. As a consequence we spent more time in the Waves bar, which on alternate nights had a singer on (1 in particular was excellent). We do have to mention that the service we received in this bar from one of the servers (Mohamed we seem to think his name was) was exceptional, and we have never seen a man work so fast and hard but have a constant smile on his face.

Every member of staff we had contact with was happy and polite and extremely good with our 2 girls, making them laugh, and high 5ing. Some staff members stand out more in our minds, 1 is a server around the main pool with the water polo nets, always smiling and always remembered our drinks, another is the aforementioned Mohamed in the Waves bar and lastly is Mando from the Animation team who always joined in with our girls (and 2 friends they made) on a tablet and also drew the a picture for them all to colour in.

Finally when the temperature during mid week was due to rise to a record May temperature for the area (46 celsius), the hotel slid a note under the door advising of this and how best to avoid the risks of sun stroke. Excellent advice.

All in all we had a hugely enjoyable stay and would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone. We are planning on returning to this hotel during the same week next year.

Room Tip: Swim up rooms are a must
