“Fantastic Holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

Wow, what a great place to stay! We had our own bungalow, free air con, fridge & safe! Swimming pool outside our room! The staff couldn't be more helpful but they do like tips which get you a long way, we gave 1/2 pounds(10/20egyptian pounds). You can change your money there which is cheaper. Towels are supplied in rooms. Water park is amazing, The kids had an amazing time, plenty to play on and so did my husband!!!
Very hot still though and the mozzies are hungry ,my husband never gets bitten but did, take your vitamen B tablets and stock up on mozzie spray and take some anti-his cream, it will help! There is a few things which i would change to make this hotel perfect, one would be kess rude russians, hotel was about 70% full of russians, 99% of them are rude! There wasnt anything to do in the evening, there was entertainment but nothing great so take some cards, also the kids club is German speaking!!! Don't go to the shops on site as they pressure you to buy, theres a fixed price supermarket down the road!

Room Tip: Request Ground floor, swimming pool outside room, room number between 1000-2000 - these rooms are ne...

Stayed at the Jungle Aqua Park at the beginning of the month. On Arrival the airport was extremly busy! because I had a very young baby with us we was let though very quickly, but the rest of the family had to wait to get through the passport control, of which did not help us. On arrival at the hotel we was checked in quickly and our room was at the front end of the hotel which was ok as near to the restaurants etc. The rooms are of a very good size and very clean, we requested a double but got two singles, We was kept a wake from the air con unit. On seeing the Thompson Rep the next day who I must was one of the best holiday reps we have had with Thompson, got every thing sorted out for us and even got us a kettle in the room for the baby bottles. Also had to use the medical centre on site, which was very good and the doctor was good. But make sure you use ure holiday insurance as can be expensive. The first night most of us was bitten by misqutios or sand flys so make sure you spray or cover legs. Also go to spinny shopping centre if you need any medical stuff as cheaper than on site at the hotel (which is 10 min walk to left of hotel). The Aqua park was very good for kids and adults. The staff at the pool are good also as they will find you sun beds if you are a guest at the hotel as outside guests use it also. The only thing was the lino was lifting in the kids pool which made it hard to walk on and needs sticking down again. We wasn't warned that the pool restaurant was being knocked down and we had to use a temporary restaurant which was not as good. There was always some thing to eat and drink at any time of the day and the main restaurants were ok, but the only problem was that they only had one main dish in each of them instead of a few dishes, which was a bit silly as some of us didnt like what was in one we had to go to another one to get our dinner, but you could eat outside together. The chinese and indian restaurant had the childrens dishes in these was not very good and nor was the itailian as it tasted very bland. But there was plenty of bars and coffee bars to choose from. The best restaurant we all found was called the Viking restaurant which had a English chef called Cliff who was provided a excellant service, so good that it was my birthday whilst we was out there, and we had experienced a problem with Anne who dealt with hopitality in reception who was meant to orginise a suprise breakfast outside did not orgnise any thing correctly for my partner. So if you need some thing organising do it yourself or just see the restaurant managers. So Cliff kindly offered and cooked us a private 3 course meal for the two of us and served by the restaurant manger whilst the rest of the family was looked after in the what was called the Viking restaurant. A big thank you to Cliff and his staff. The staff in the Tragin restaurant was also very good. The only problem we and other english experienced was with the russians and germans being rude and ignorant! but this would always be a problem as there is more russians and germans booked in than english. The staff in then disco were also very good and would look after you especially if you tipped them. It never hurt to tip any of the resturant or bar staff and they would look after you. Didnt go to the beach as it would have been too much trouble with a pushchair, and if you que to come back the bus gets bomb barded by the russians and germans so you might not even get back on it! A big thank you to our Thompson Rep, Cliff and the hotel manager for extending our room time.

We have stayed in Hurghada before so this was our next visit. The hotel was great, we felt we were in a small town with so many restaurants to choose to eat from, the swimming pools and water slides at the Aqua park kept the whole family amused.

The bungalows were large and kept clean and most were opposite a swimming area and this time of year we had plenty of choice of sunbeds etc.

Weather great, a little rain on one or two evenings but this didn't affect our stay whatsoever.

Just returned from 7 nights at the Jungle Aqua Park hotel. The airport arrival was smother than anticipated and the transfer to hotel was quick. The Thompson guide was very informative on the bus pointing out local shops etc. The check in at the hotel was a first where all the bus checked in at once, then we were walked in a large group to everyones rooms very strange but didn't take that long. We stayed in a lovely bungalow which was bigger than expected and the daily maid (male) did over and above. The pool directly outside the bunglow was quiet all week and very clean the attendent was very friendly and was always around. There was also a mobile drinks service where a member of staff wheeled drinks around in a cooler. All staff were friendly and went out of their way. The main pool with the animation team was very popular but there was always a bed, they worked very hard keeping everyone happy. We found the Aqua park very disappoointing as it was very busy with outside guests and with long queues. To get a sun bed you had to arrive very early and unless you like queues you had to go on the slides first thing for for the last hour. Slides were good but they only had the wave machine going once a day at 3pm. The resturants were ok, some of the food was cold and we went to the take away once during our stay and wouldn't recommend it. The other resturants serve simular food and we always found something different to eat. The Egyptian bread and freshly made pizza's are a must . We had a birthday meal one evening and the staff went out of their way to make this special. Now for a WARNING we went to the local shops the ones down from the supermarket. There was beggar children on the street here, they opened my bag (only had water in) but my husband had them going in his pockets and felt one of them take his wallet. Not a good experience and we did not return to these shops. The shops we would recommend are the ones you will see on the bus route to the beach. They are about 10mins walk away down one road. The beach was a little disappointing, we had no problem getting a bed and they are very private. The beach was clean but not sandy very gritty and you had to go out along way to the corals for snorkling where it was very crowded. If you do want to go snorkling you are best to take a trip, there is plenty of sellers at the hotel and our rep had them on sale for £30 adults, £20 children. Overall we had a lovely holiday which was made special by our maid who was very friendly and giving him a daily tip we always had a towel animal on our bed and he made flowers for my 12 year old daughter. He also decorated our room for my husbands birthday. We would recommend this hotel and though we didnt use them they had wonderful water pools for younger children one in the hotel area and one in the Aqua park.

We stayed here for 1 week in June 2012 and had a great time! The hotel is amazing spotless and staff cannot do enough to help you! The frozen cocktails are lovely! The pool party is a great night although it is for kids later on the adults can get in the pool, really good fun! This is the perfect hotel to go if you have kids or are a big kid yourself! Be careful if you go quad biking health and safety is not a word they understand! Rooms are nice enough as you will never need to be in them! I would really reccomend this hotel!

Room Tip: Rooms near the reception are best as near everything
