The lack of customer service at the most basic level is sooooooo lacking. This would have been my 3rd time back to Hurghada bu,t my husband and I decided to skip it, take a sleeper train back from Aswan to Cairo and take a bus straight to Dahab.
Unfortunately we had already booked 1 night at The Ramoza hotel. I have contacted Ramoza hotel about 6 times now to cancel my booking, and they have yet to send me back a confirmation for cancellation. The good thing is we aren't leaving for Egypt until February 2012, and it will probably take that long to get a hold of any accountable employee at Ramoza Hotel. Our concern is being charged for a night due to not showing up and then having management tell us that they never received 1 email from us.
I would not be a bit surprised if this happened.
As much as I Love Egypt, and the people, I know how some people operate, and it is unfortunate as it leaves a bad taste in my mouth and does not make me want to come back for more.
