“Great place!! could be better.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2013

Really mirror others views. Great place, great staff (reception very broken English but ok), super slides, super clean. The food is ok, meats are definitely cheap, always gristly, but always something to eat. Met 1 very friendly lifeguard who was just a fantastic guy, helped us outside work hours too in town, Thanks eslam, you're a star!!. Thanks too to Mustafa (there's loads so I hope he knows who we mean), made our kids holiday a treat, 1 great guy! Our let down was kids animation, not the animation itself, but the dj playing music around kids time (and pool too), says he knew little English but played music with swearing in it around kids disco time, not a good idea! but other than that, had a brill time, deffo go again, Thanks titanic!!

This was by far the best holiday ive ever been on. The hotel was always clean, and all the people were friendly. The staff there are absolutely brilliant and welcoming. The hotel itself is beautiful and the slides are great! (even for the adults who secretly love it!) The food was alright, the desert delicious. Our room was also great! The only thing I can fault is the entertainment. It was quite boring compared to the other hotels ive been to. However, the morning entertainment by the pool, (bellydancing, etc) is really fun. Overall, a 5 star. Just because I loved it.

Room Tip: We gave them 10 pound when we first checked in and asked them if we could get a nice, big room. And...

Myself , husband & 2 children(17&13) stayed here for 2 weeks at the beginning of July.
Room was always clean & staff very honest,a few occanions we left ipods/iphones on bed and were neatly on the side once cleaner had been.We stayed in room 2040 which was opposite the mosque, this didnt bother us as it was nice to experience & after a couple of nights it didnt even wake us. The first week we found the animation to be quite miserable & the only 1 who spoke was mel but was much better when Daniel arrived.waterpark was great the only we didnt like about it was that drinks wernt free there & you had to walk back to pool/lobby bar.
We had no problems with the food,it may be a bit repetitive but the staff do there best considering they have many nationalitys to feed, my son and husband are fussy but we all managed to eat 3 meals a day.staff in the lobby bar are fantastic,so is waled the night cleaning supervisor, he could help us enough.
A holiday is what you make it and we had a great time

When we first booked this holiday we was under the impression we was going to a five star luxury hotel with the possibility to upgrade on arrival...we were in for a shock!! First of all this hotel is rated 4* I would rate it 3* for many reasons...

Negatives:
Requested a double room, got 3 single beds wanted to charge 10€ a night for a room in main reception where the rooms were exactly the same rooms no different.

2. Food was awful, for example in the morning repitive choice of fried egg and toast, the rest was catered for the Russians and Germans! Night time food was as bad, the meat was impossible to eat, and again the rest wasnt catered for English

3. No al a carte restaurants

4. No Deinks of hot drinks and water until 8am, although you can drink in the restaurant with breakfast. No soft drinks served untill 9am at the bar!

5. Free shuttle bus to the hotels beach at 8am however you can not have a drink untill 9am

6. Swim up bar that they refuse to serve anybody at

7. Ice cream candy floss and popcorn all came with a charge Aswell as fresh juices

8. No smoking signs all over the hotel (inside) people constantly smoke even when people are eating!!

9. Can't refill water bottles with soft drinks or water at any time, at all bars

10. Bar isn't 24 hours, lights out at 12.15am!

11. Lunch time is the best choice of food, again it is the same every day

12. Entertainment is non existant! Kids have animation team, but for adults it is a case of entertain your self!

13. Soft drinks are never mixed right, and the drinks are often wrong

14. You can't go into the pool untill after 9am, they are being cleaned from 7, but the pools didnt always look as clean as they should

15. Reception speak little English and will offer as little help as they can to any problems

16. Don't leave any money in your room on the side as cleaners will think it's a tip, even if it is small pocket change to a substantial amount!

17. Russians at their usual tricks of reserving sunbeds at 6am

18. Can be overly windy, and the beach had to be avoided due to the Wind picking sand up

19. Location..wouldnt come back as it is up and comingt so the surroundings were just desert and dirt and hotels no way near completion

20. Hotel was full of Russian German polish and Dutch with the ODD couple of British (hello to the couple we met)

Positives;

1. Clean

2. Waiters are very chatty, always cleaning and collecting items that have been used

Holiday positives;

Marina was the best place to eat, 14 English pounds for a return but worth it when you can't eat hotel food day in day out..heaven is a must go, beautiful food and waited on your hand and foot

Hard Rock Cafe food and drinks were nice as you'd expect from a chain restaurant, however would suggest this is over priced, this maybe because lack of competition surrounding it , along with the added tax 10% and service charge 12% (we spent £90 on dinner and a couple of drinks whilst waiting for taxi)

Their is the senzo mall which has McDonald's 15 min walk

When you book this hotel make sure you know which hotel you want, this hotel has NOTHING to do with palace or beach it has been taken over by primsol and you can't go anywhere other then this hotel. We tried to move hotel within hours of arrival so please be aware of what you want to spend your money on if it's 5 star luxury even 4 AVOID this hotel!!!!

Myself, my husband and 2 year old daughter stayed here from the 25th June for 2 weeks.

When we first arrived at the hotel they had no record of us being booked in. This was due to Alpha Rooms (dont ever book anything with that waste of space company). The staff were so helpful and still let us stay until it was all resolved.

Due to all the stress Nabil the Vice chairman was very kind and upgraded us to a better room in the main part of the hotel.

From here on we had one of the most amazing holiday's weve ever had. The staff are all friendly and cant do enough for you. All the staff from the Cleaners to the restaurant staff to the life guards work so hard and it shows in the standard of the hotel.

No one can say this hotel isnt clean - its one of the cleanest weve ever stayed in
Theres always staff cleaning!

The food was really nice too .. they have freshly made omlettes at breakfast. You can choose from pool side snacks for dinner or eat in the main restaurant if you dont feel like burger and chips ect.
At tea time they had a pasta bar where they made fresh pasta and sauce and you could choose what veg/chillies you wanted in and the desserts were always delicious!

The rooms where spacious and clean and the cleaners were very friendly. We tipped our cleaner because they really do work very hard.

Also the beach was beautiful! It was so clean and the food there was delicious too.

If your thinking of booking this hotel - do it. Theres so much on for children and the amination team work so hard to make sure everyone has a good time!

I just want to say a massive thankyou to everyone at the hotel for making it such an enjoyable holiday. We will be returning again next year :)

One last thing ... if your thinking of doing any trips see Ahmed from Empire Scope. His boat is half submarine and we had a fantastic time on his trip! He really is a credit to the hotel and his knowledge of Hurghada is second to none.

Great holiday if you have kids , food was ok , no upset stomachs :)

Water park was brilliant and rooms were mediocre

I would stay agin especially for the price we paid , we booked through teletext. The drinks were good self service on soft drinks

Ok holiday but food is a let down. Most people expect to be a little spoilt & pampered on holiday but no luxury treats. Always something to eat but nothing tempting to over indulge with, no icecream for kids & no bottled water @ bars just in room. Weather amazing, staff great, entertainment not worth bothering with. Also hotel appears to be in flight path. Family rooms very spacious & more than adequate but could do with a revamp. Overall ok holiday & bonus that I lost weight!
