The hotel has a terrific architecture and is for sure one of the best top 3 in the Hurghada area. The rooms are spacious, staff friendly; you will find everything necessary in the resort so if you don’t won’t to leave the huge resort during your stay, you don’t have to. Of course you’ve got differences between the rooms and staff but you have to ask for a room which will please you.
There’s a plenty of different lagoons, almost 20 if I’m not wrong from which 2 biggest are artificially made. Already on the beach you will find a very decent, deep and interesting coral reef which is a great in comparison to other hotel coral reefs. For a regular snorkeling you won’t need to travel with a boat or outside the resort to see some interesting snorkeling area, you’ve got it right away in the resort. Only negative point I would post to the showers at the beaches, more of the showers were working improperly and have a low water pressure.
Food was sometimes great, mostly good, no complaints on the cook staff. What was disturbing is the amount of guests in high season and the capacity of the restaurants and staff. Also the refilling of the most wanted food in restaurants was really struggling more than half of the times: during breakfast it were bananas and melon, deserts by the diner time etc. Also most of the dining tables weren’t stable and were moving from side to side; regardless you were in restaurant or in the cafeteria ;-). The only real negative point from my side is that the variety of fruits and vegetables was really limited and never changing, from day to day. But it’s not like there are no vegetables or fruits, just not handful diversity.
The rooms were kept really clean but still I have to mention that there is a lack for a detail in Egypt which hasn’t improved from the 90’s a bit. We’ve got corroded chairs on the terrace and corrosion in the bathroom which wasn’t really bothering just shows lack of sense for details in such ambitious hotel.
The kids’ corner was definitely above other hotel average but most of the furnishing was ragged and outdated. But pretty good equipped and with a very friendly staff. Again here I would say that the lack of sense for detail was missing only. Also it is very important to mention that hotel is not focused or well suited for small children till 3rd year of life: in the resort are plenty of high not secured places, everywhere are stones mostly so injuries by all the time falling children is a pity but by our son I accepted it as a part of life education ;-) Nevertheless there is a very small children’s pool and on each beach there is a playground in the sand for the kids. Not amazing but still better than nothing and if you don’t have small children, it won’t bother you.
And as last I have to comment on the Russian guests who were in big numbers in this hotel and because I’ve heard a lot of negative feedback about them. I must say that they weren’t disturbing and bad behaved, regular humans ;-)
