“The only negative aspect was that our stay was too short”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2011

After reading everyone's delightful reviews, we too decided to book our holiday at this gem. Upon arrival lat at night, we drove up along the entrance way only to feel as if we had landed in something out of a book. Beautiful architecture, only to be showed up by its surroundings. One one side, breathtaking blue waters surround you while on the other, majestic red mountains shield this hotel, making you truly feel in your own private resort. We can not say enough positive things about every aspect, from service (the hotel may be officially classified as 3 star, but in terms of service and food, a 5 star is well merited). We are both avid travellers, I am a chef an sommelier and we both were thoroughly impressed with the location, the staff and the cuisine.

We took two excursions (although very difficult to leave the complex as it is so incredibly relaxing). One excursion by camel to a bedouin village where we snorkeled the entire afternoon, spotting fish that I have only seen on National Geographic; the other to St. Katherine where we hiked the 16km round trip to relish the sunset ontop Moses Mountain. Quite an emotional and spiritual experience, but not for the faint at heart (although you can do the hike by camel).

Would I recommend Daniela? Blindfolded. Kudos to the owners and to manager Hagag Said who have developed such an amazing haven and staff who clearly put their heart into everything.

relaxed atmosphere, fantastic views, fantastic food, fantastic dive school, fantastic staff.
good rooms, clean and tidy, the bathrooms are a little dated but who spend ages in the bathroom when there are fantastic views to see, great food to eat, trips to do and diving to be done all at a lovely leisurely pace.
no complaints whatsoever other than it was over too quickly. brill holiday going back - already booked and my daughter (14) is going to do her open water with the very professional dive team at the hotel because she felt so safe with them.

We loved the family atmosphere of the hotel and the staff who were always so quick to help if we had any problems.
The food was great and our room very comfortable. The bathroom could do with a little upgrade but all the basics were there.
The trips were good fun (particularly the camel rides!) and very interesting. The organisation of them was sometimes a little muddled and information not always communicated clearly.
We would certainly love to return.

Room Tip: Sea view imperative but all rooms are quiet

With it's solitary location between the Sinai mountains and the red sea, the gentle staff, the relaxed atmosphere and the very good care we have encountered, this place has been one of the best locations ever we stayed for our holidays.
It is a perfect combination for people who seek rest, authenticity, good food, sea,...
The trips with the Bedouin guides Hammed and Abdul where not only professional organised but gave us a different view to many things and have changed our live forever, in uttermost positive way.
GO TO EGYPT, THEN TO DAHAB, THEN TO DANIELE! But the inspiring tranquility has to remain.

When we checked in, I was disappointed that there were only two single beds rather that a double, and the desk clerk told us just to push them together. Not quite the romantic situation I was hoping for. The bathroom was very basic.

Our main reason to go to Dahab was the diving and the Daniela had a great little dive centre. We did some great dives with a very small relaxed group.

The highlight of our stay was the staff. They were so friendly to our 1 year old, quick professional service everytime and invited us to watch them play football. Made us feel so welcome.

Arrived at our Hotel Daniela Villageafter dark for a week’s stay March 3rd to 10th 2011
We were warmly greeted by the House Manager Hagag and Mohammed from Housekeeping then offered a welcome drink, given a general briefing of meal times, places of interest to visit and also Taxi prices when outside of the resort, we were then shown to our accommodation and the Restaurant for our dinner that evening.
Staying at the Hotel Daniela has been such a wonderful peaceful and relaxing holiday location with well chosen staff that receive their guests with good old fashion respect, courtesy’ helpfulness and kindness with a without being over zelest,
Our room was large enough for us three ladies towards the far end of this small unassuming hotel facing the Ocean with magical Sun Rises and Sun Sets that promote a sence of well being harmony balancing the mind body and sole the Sinai Mountains were enormous reaching for miles upon miles along the coastal road to the front of the hotel.
All day trips were arranged by House Manager Hagag and were keenly priced. Our First day trip was to walk up Moses Mountain where Moses in Biblical time was Given the Ten commandments to watch the Sun Rise over the Mountains, This was a very Long ascent to the top Of the Mountain some 775 Feet but well worth the climb when you see the Dawning of the Day which feels like that you are standing on the edge of the world looking towards the Horizon and then the Sun rises slowly over the Mountains and gives such an aura of peace and tranquillity and fulfilment to those of us that our spiritual.
Trip two: was the Bedouin Evening Dinner in the desert was Just Amazing with fellow guests from the hotel; we ate Dinner around the camp fire under the darkest night sky with its amazing star formation and we were encouraged to par take in dancing and playing musical instruments and singing, visited the Desert Canyon and fire show before our Jeep ride back to hotel Daniela.
Trip Three: Quod Bike into the desert and canyons and Peninsula with the sun on our backs and wind in our hair a must do!
Trip Three: Scuba Diving introduction on the boat to visit the coral beds in the Red sea, good day out for all, Lunch and all drinks provided in the Price.
Trip Four: Horse trekking along the Ocean at lesuir a must for all.
Dahab Town is just one hour walk along the Ocean or 5-8minuits in a Taxi to the Bridge, plenty of shops and places to eat/dine. Most people were warm and friendly Just inquisitive to know where we were from and where we were staying and have a cuppa tea and a chat, It was all good fun we enjoyed the atmosphere.
Made Friends with the Cats at the Daniela Hotel (we named then Betty and Tom) we were genuinely sorry to leave yester day afternoon, made friend with the outer guests and staff were just amazing people genuineness that radiates out that nothing is too much trouble for their guests.
Mohammed, thank you for the wonderful towel art creations, we enjoyed your Bedouin evening dinner. Also Many thanks for your general kindness through our stay
We will see you all again later in the year, please look after the little cat as she will soon have her Kittens...

I stayed here one night in January 25th, 2011 with my tour group. Early next moring we left and we spent the half a day in a desert safari. At one o'clock in the afternoon I realized that I had left my money belt at the hotel room. Of course my money belt contained my passport, my credit card, ATM card, and all my cash(quite substantial) You can imagine my despair!!
My tour leader called the hotel and was told that my money belt was found. The hotel manager and the person who found the money belt delivered it personally to our next stop.
I don't have to tell you how I felt about this hotel and the people involved!!! Literally they saved my life!!! Words fail me to describe my feelings for this hotel personnel.
