We spent two days (one in Cairo and one in Alexandria) on a private tour with Nile Blue and Rehab our guide. They arranged averything at our request, including a lunch with our local friends in Cairo. The Cairo day was long, but they returned us safely to the ship to start the next day in Alexandria. Our guide was fabulous. Highly recommend. The owners checked with us throughout the tour to ensure all was going to plan. Exceptional

This is an extremely unprofessional operation. Our tour guide (Osama) was great but dealing with this company is a nightmare. We did the overnight Cairo tour and were booked to stay at the Le Meridien Giza (which is one of the three hotels they choose from for you to stay). There were numerous problems with the hotel and when I let the tour operators know how aweful our stay was, they refused to do anything about the situation.

According to all the information I received, payment is made at the end of the tour. Also, according to the Nile Blue website and all of the e-mails I received, it was acceptable to pay for the tour with a credit card. Well this is just absolutely NOT TRUE. On our way back to the ship I told the guide that I was paying with a credit card. He got on the phone with the people who run the company, Hazem and Ghada Kamal (she's a real piece of work) to let them know. We arrived at the ship just before departure time and there was Hazem and Ghada with a posse of several other Egyptians waiting for us. They demanded that all money be paid in cash (they said they were not equipped to accept credit cards). They got in my face and said that I needed to go to an ATM or borrow cash from my friends. I kept showing them the e-mails that I had printed that said credit cards were accepted, all of the sudden they did not speak English very well and just kept saying they were not equipped to take credit cards. We had very little time to deal with the situation because we had to board the ship so I settled in cash.

This is an aweful company and I advise you to book with someone else.

Nile Blue Excursions gave a wonderful overnight tour for four of us in November. We were picked up in Port Said, overnighted at the beautiful Mena Oberoi Hotel in Giza, and were returned the following day to our port in Alexandria. Not only was this company responsive, efficient, and well priced, their tour was excellent. I would highly recommend Nile Blue for your needs in Egypt.

Just came back from a trip for 9 nights (3 on Nile Cruise) of Egypt & were very happy with our guide, a young woman who has a Master Degree in Egyptian History. We usually start very early to avoid the heat and the crowd. Visited the Luxor Temple at sunset, very crowded, but amazingly beautiful. The guide told us that it's not worth paying extra to go into the Giza Pyramid, she took us to Imhotep Museum & Saqqara instead, very smart & knowledgable. You have to be prepared to deal with the heat, pollution, crowd & the aggressive Egyptian vendors (don't be fooled by them yelling "one dollar!") and we came back telling friends that "it's well worth it"!
