“Fine place to stay/very quiet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

We stayed for a few days after touring the islands by yacht. The rooms are fine, very clean and quiet. It was great that they can turn around your laundry in a few hours for just a few dollars. Everything in town is a short walk away, or you can take one of the local cabs for $1.

This is a decent hotel for the Galapagos. The room is an ok size, but no TV though and it is a bit dark.
There is a safety deposit box and the WIFI is free. The restaurant food is good.
I did not use the pool (across the street) but saw that it was quite busy.
the hotel is 2 blocks away from Charles Darwin street, the main drag with all the tourist shops, restaurants etc..

Laundry does take 2 days to do, not sure whether it was because I checked in on a Monday.
Chilled water is available free from dispensers.

There is alot if stairs, a bit of a problem if you have suitcases.

In summary, a decent hotel in a good location - nothing spectacular but all the important services are catered for.

Rooms are quite spacious, but they have no charm at all - Almost reminded me of a hospital. For the price I would definitely expect more (there was no fridge, no tv, no safety-box), and there was a lot of noise, as you could hear everything going on outside. I didn't see anyone use the pool, which was across the street. Wi-fi comes and goes. Friendly staff though, and a nice breakfast.

The room was large and clean. It had a/c and wifi in the room which however did not work most of the time we were there. They were helpful in trying to resolve that problem. The staff is friendly. The food was good, just the breakfast could have been better and more variety and they don't turn on the a/c for breakfast and often leaves all doors shut which made the room very stuffy. All in all though it was the hotel with the most conveniences known from more developed parts of the world which made it a very pleasant stay. It is a short walk from town and located on a pretty quiet street.

Room Tip: In front of Room 23 there is a light with a motion detector. Other guests which walk by at night (an...

We were placed here by our tour company and it was great. We had many meals there and they were all excellent, although a little repetitive - fish for almost all lunches and dinners, but very good. The room was the nicest of the 3 hotels we stayed at in the Galapagos, roomy with a very nice bathroom. There was a beautiful pool across the street, as well as a lovely interior courtyard. As in all our Ecuadorian hotels, purified water was available, but in this case, they also had a pitcher for us in our room. They also had WIFI and a computer available and let us use it to check in for our flight and print up our boarding passes.

Very clean, occasional wireless access, frequent hot water and a wonderful laundry next door that is open early and late and has clothes ready and completely dry at the promised time including muddy sneakers and smelly wetsuits. Also Eduardo makes the best happy hour mojito I've ever had. Very nice and helpful staff. The rooms near the side driveway/kitchen are very noisy. Location is superb..

Room Tip: Not near the side driveway or kitchen. Very noisy.
