The place looks lovely from the water and the ambiance is nice. The mosquitos were terrible, but the restaurant can not do much about that, other than provide repellent, which they did. The food and service was mediocre. I had to physically find the waitress twice, which was a bit surprising considering there were a total of 3 tables seated for the evening. We waited a long time between drinks (having to find the waitress to order) and at the end of the evening we had to track her down again to get the bill after a good 20 minute wait. The service would have been tolerable, had the food been good. It was not. It was bland, using butter as the primary flavor. My husband ordered the 3-mushroom risotto, expecting 3 kinds of mushrooms, which it clearly did not have. We were surprised to see chanterelle mushrooms on the menu as we had never encountered these in our years in Ecuador, but none were to be found in the dish. It was drowning in butter, leaving a thick film on our mouths. We only were able to eat a couple bites of it. My fish was better, but dry as it did not offer enough of the coconut sauce. I guess you are paying for the location, but it is overpriced. I can not recommend this restaurant.
