“My Favorite on San Cristobal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2012

Having lived on San Cristobal for three months, I had the pleasure of enjoying Loberia many, many times. It's approximately a 25 minute walk one-way, but a $1 taxi will bring you there without a problem. As this beach is further from Puerto Baquerizo than many others, but there aren't as many people there and during the sea lion birthing season (begins in September) you can upwards of 15 sea lions pups playing or soaking up the sun.The snorkeling is good as well, with numerous tortugas and colorful fish. Continue along the beach and brave the lava rock (follow the painted white stakes) to the cliff, where you can watch swallow-tailed gulls, frigates, and blue-footed boobies fly over your head.

“Swimming with Marine Iguanas”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2012

With six dives and numerous snorkels (included in an 8 day cruise) ...Snorkeling at Las Loberias still stands out. Snorkeling with Marine Iguanas is the best there is and can only be out done by the playful Sea Lions swimming all around you. Magical. I want to return here again and again!
