What a treat this turned out to be—up in the hills from Volosko/Opatjia. A little hard to find if you’re not staying at the hotel it's a part of, as the fork in the road isn’t particularly well marked until you’re on it. It was well worth it though, delicious, modern and creative food on a lovely balcony overlooking the sea. Great service too, a little slow at times, but we didn’t really mind. It was a little cool in May up there, but we managed, not wanting to sacrifice the setting by being inside. We opted for the four-course menu, which was just perfect. Everything was beautifully presented and it was well worth the price, which granted, wasn't cheap. Croatian wine, as all along the coast was really excellent and we opted for glasses, rather than a bottle, so we could sample more than one. There wasn't one we found disappointing.
