Stayed may 28 to the 29th. Valet was prompt and friendly. Don't be a cheapskate and self park. For an extra $5-10 tip it's much easier to get the valet to take care of the parking for you, unless if you plan on taking your car out multiple times during your stay. It saves alot of walking around carrying luggage.

The standard room in the Havana Tower was clean. It had a small fridge which was a plus. (I'm used to hitting the ice machine to keep the beers cold) The view was really nice too. No complaints at all.



Casino was clean. The Quater is really nice with it's neat shops and bars. (Check out the $4 pints downstairs at Hooters if you need a distraction from the casino) Everyone was relatively friendly including room service. Check out and check in was a breeze. The slots were not good to me but the blackjack tables were, so after 5 or 6 hours of play, I was about even...which is fine by me!

Had fun! Can't wait to go back...hopefully they'll send me some free rooms.

The hotel was great. Our room in the newer South Tower had great view of ocean, modern decor and clean. All hotel staff encountered were courteous. Especially one security person who personally escorted us to The Quarter as we were in search of a especially nice restaurant to celebrate my birthday. We chose the Cubre Libre from the many fine restaurants.

I stayed here for one night . Though I like the Tropicana there are different sections/towers you can select. We stayed in the West Tower in a standard room. What a mistake! First of all, the room's decor was awful navy blue & white stripes. The bedding felt old and cheap - worse than the blankets I throw down on the ground when we have a yard sale. I felt like I needed to scrub myself down with Lysol when I got home. Anyway - if you stay here try one of the deluxe rooms. I hear the Havana Tower is much nicer.

The minute we found out we were in the west tower we should have known better. When we walked into the room it definitely wasn't up to par, but because it was a weekend getaway from the kids we decided not to get stressed and let it go. After spending money in the restaurants, shops and casino, we decided to go to bed only to find when we turned down the beds, a band aid in one of the beds and a cocktail napkin in the other. Needless to say we called the from desk extremely upset and grossed out. They did come up at 2am to change the sheets and vacuum but in the meantime we had to sit there and watch for half an hour. The front desk at the time said all they could do for us was a free breakfast. In the morning we personnaly went to the front desk and confronted a manager. He was very nice but would not give us a free nights stay. He moved us to the Havana tower and cut the room rate from $400 to $200. My husband has organized a golf outing every year with 20 guys and they always stay at the Trop and spend thousands between all of them. Needless to say they will be finding and new hotel.
