came into AC for one night, first time to the east coast. Loved the location, loved the view, boardwalk and ocean right there. The room was very luxurious. Staff was polite. Restaurants were ok. No sportsboks in Atlantic City?? Not to thrilled about tht especially on an NFL Sunday. Casino was really nice, though table minimums were pretty high and I got cleaned out quickly. Overall, AC is no Vegas, but it was a nice one day getaway and the Trop. made it enjoyable.

Stayed with family for a few days midweek in October in a VIP suite.
Excellent staff and service all around, buffet, restaurants, entertainment and shows are right on target. 'The Quarter', the latin-themed shopping area, offers good clothing selections for women and several fine restaurants. Ate at Verdi's Italian (casino area) and P.F. Chang's (in the Quarter) both excellent. Pool, health club and spa also excellent.

Weather at the moment in atlantic City seems like 'Indian summer' and it is still warm.
This makes a walk on the boardwalk a spectacular treat. Also
gave my mother-in-law a birthday at the Rainforest Cafe on the boardwalk (behind the Trump Plaza). Unique restaurant with fishtanks and robotic elephants, gorillas, chimpanzees, and a 'lightning' show every half hour.
Jitney (minibus access) in front of the hotel for transportation to other hotels and casinos runs 24 hours,we visited the Borgata late, transportation frequent and convenient.

Only missing element: there was no minifrig in the room-we didn't need it. Found a supermarket mall two blocks off the Sands Hotel. By the way, 'The Pier' at Caesar's Mall is still under construction. 'The Walk' outdoor shopping area and stores off the Sheraton Hotel and Convention Center is about a ten minute walk away, still warm for those strolling and shopping. There is minigolf on the boardwalk. Tropicana is handicapped accessable and friendly, for those who have that need (by the way).

My Husband and I chose to spend 2 days in Atlantic City so we could meet up wth nieces from Philadelphia, it was the biggest mistake of our lives. that we chose the Tropicana. it was the worst place we have ever been to having spent many visits to Las Vegas, The Hotel was disgusting the room abysmal we changed from North Tower to West Tower we had terrible shabby dismal furnishings the bathroom was dreary and full of damp patches as was the the bedroom.
The resturants were freezing cold the food cold and horrible the staff unhelpful when we asked for food without dressing and we could not get anything plain to eat. The casino staff are unhelpful the only people who were pleasant were at the money exchange.
I may add both my Husband and I have returned to England with Chest Infections and are on antibiotics due in some way Im sure with the damp room, and the extremely freezing air conditioning, I may also add the bed linen was old and shabby and I am fearful of what we could have caught from the blanket and dark bedcovers.

We are World travellers and have never experienced such conditions before. WE came from Cape Liberty having been on a cruise and took a Limo to the Tropicana. We should have gone to the Bogata but for some reason they were full, All in all a waste of time and money.
Yours truly Mr and Mrs Cyril Niman Manchester UK

My wife and I stayed at the Trop Sept. 11 thru 15th. I had seen most of the reveiws for the Trop and was a little bit concerned about what we would find once we arrived. Would we get terrible service like most seemed to have or ? Would everyone be unfriendly as most seemed to indicate? From the moment we arrived at the Trop it was nothing but good...yes it took us a few extra minutes to get from the garage to registration but what the heck..you have to learn your way around sometime. We had to wait in line a whole 5 minutes (or less) to check in..everything was ready for us. Our room was fine (north tower)..very good maid service with no complaints. We did not come across any employee who was not nice and considerate of our needs and requests...one day we got turned around and wanted to go to the parking garage..a maintenance employee we asked for directions actually took us to the elevator and pretty much took us to the garage...what service we got. A good trip..yes indeed and thanks Trop for the good times.
