Stayed with family for a few days midweek in October in a VIP suite.
Excellent staff and service all around, buffet, restaurants, entertainment and shows are right on target. 'The Quarter', the latin-themed shopping area, offers good clothing selections for women and several fine restaurants. Ate at Verdi's Italian (casino area) and P.F. Chang's (in the Quarter) both excellent. Pool, health club and spa also excellent.
Weather at the moment in atlantic City seems like 'Indian summer' and it is still warm.
This makes a walk on the boardwalk a spectacular treat. Also
gave my mother-in-law a birthday at the Rainforest Cafe on the boardwalk (behind the Trump Plaza). Unique restaurant with fishtanks and robotic elephants, gorillas, chimpanzees, and a 'lightning' show every half hour.
Jitney (minibus access) in front of the hotel for transportation to other hotels and casinos runs 24 hours,we visited the Borgata late, transportation frequent and convenient.
Only missing element: there was no minifrig in the room-we didn't need it. Found a supermarket mall two blocks off the Sands Hotel. By the way, 'The Pier' at Caesar's Mall is still under construction. 'The Walk' outdoor shopping area and stores off the Sheraton Hotel and Convention Center is about a ten minute walk away, still warm for those strolling and shopping. There is minigolf on the boardwalk. Tropicana is handicapped accessable and friendly, for those who have that need (by the way).
