I'm into details, so here goes. We asked for the main building and ended up on the 18th floor by the elevator. All floors 14th and up require room key to use the elevator. You get a guest card to use for charging things to your room. The valet service is relatively quick except for peak check-in and check-out times. When my husband left something in the car, they brought the car to us and returned it. We were very happy overall with the room. The pillow top bed is dated, but comfortable. The sheets super soft. Decor in olive/burnished gold striped wallpaper. Dim light from heavy lampshades despite 100 watt bulbs says, "No reading, get back to the casino!" The room is clean overall, although the fabric headboard, bedspread and air ducts for the self-contained AC/heating system need cleaning. The only way I could tell was with my allergic reaction to dust, e.g., when the fan was turned on (very warm in room with the system off). A locked connecting door separates the rooms, so we could hear the people next door all of the time. We tried to stay quiet. No guest services guide in the room, just room service menu. Refrigerator has no freezer compartment. and is not very cold. Aromatherapy bath products are wonderful. The bath tub (not at all comfortable) includes a shower with massage head. Pet peeve: the toilet paper is softer than the facial tissue, which is not saying much. Towels are thick and soft. Not all restaurants are open in winter, but then the room price is 1/3 of the summer rate. Max's Steakhouse, the 24-hour very nice diner, Rainforest Cafe and China Cafe are open. The food is top quality. The China Cafe has a sushi bar and authentic Chinese food at good prices. Slots are tight at the casino, except at the bars (perhaps they need to be with people drinking!). The city minimum payout is 92%. Great designer outlets a block behind Bally's, and a new upscale mall pier extends out from Caesar's hotel-- all within close walking distance on the boardwalk. Per tradition, cheap souvenir shops line the boardwalk.

Requested a "quiet" room as I'm a light sleeper. Our basic room had an ocean view, it was extremely clean, the bed was comfy but I don't think it was a true king size.....larger than a queen but not quite as large as the king we have at home. Hmm! Shower head was great and the rubber bath mat was much appreciated. One of the first times I didn't need my earplugs to sleep. Our room was extremely quiet and I was SO happy. Hotel lobby is gorgeous and casino is very conveniently located close to the hotel entrance and elevators. My husband and I have stayed here before and we'll definitely return in the future.

First visit to Atlantic City (over Thanksgiving). Stayed at Trump Plaza. As a huge fan of Donald Trump and "The Apprentice" I had to stay here. It was like a pilgrimage for me. The hotel was excellent: much of the decor was very dated - very 1980's. Think "Dynasty" (t.v. show) and that sums it up. I expected to see Crystal Carrington and Dominique Devereaux have a catfight in the lobby. My hotel room was great: very clean, great view. It even had a small refrigerator. I did well in the casino, won about $500 playing slots. Overall a great trip. Thanks, Mr. Trump.

Overall, the hotel was decent...Having to walk through the casino in order to get to the lobby for check-in (from the self park area), we were a bit apprehensive...The casino was definately stuck in a time warp...When checking in, they informed us that our room was not ready, and that check-in was not until 6pm...I have never heard of that before...We checked our bags with the bellman, and went over to Ceasars to gamble.... When we finally got our room keys, I was quite impressed with the remmodelling done. The room, even though it was non-smoking, stunk like smoke.. Bedding was clean and comfortable. Would I stay here again?? Rooms were nice... All AC hotels need a lift!!!
