My wife and I were in town for a convention. We travel to 4-5 shows and year and spend quite a few other days on the road, so we have some experience staying in various hotels.

Pros
*Great location. Close to other casinos, shops and easy walk to convention center.
*We didn’t ask for an ocean view, but were happy to see that we were given one. Good view from 27th floor.
*Nice room. For comparison, I would say it is on the same level with an average Marriott room. Nothing fancy, but nice.
*Decent rate, $263 weekend, $115 weekday.

Cons
*Check out system was down. Front desk blamed it on routine computer maintenance on Wed. mornings until 9AM. Unusual time to perform this, since there were many people attempting to check out.
*Guest service desk only staffed until 5:30. After that calls were routed to busy front desk. Sat on hold for a long time.
*Called Guest Services to arrange for an Airport Shuttle service that they note in the In-Room Guest Directory. The desk was closed, so we visited front desk. The girl didn’t know anything about airport shuttles, so she sent us to the bus office in the hotel parking garage. Nobody was in the office.
*Air vent in shower was so clogged with fuzz & dirt that is wasn’t even circulating air.
*Very dated.

This is not a 5-Star property as they advertise. The décor and casino are very old and dated (vs. other nearby casinos). The service and staff were just ok. We only ate at one restaurant (Café 24) and it was very so-so.

Overall it was an ok place to stay. Although the problems I list above are fairly minor ones, I feel that they were unnecessary. I would definitely look for another hotel to stay at the next time I visit Atlantic City.

After arriving at the Trump Tower (9.2.08)and ready to check in we were told to come back in 20 min. because our room was not ready, we went back in the alloted time only to be told that our room was still not ready, waiting for sheets we were told to come back in 10 min. there is a shift change going on that our sheets will be on the bed then, We returned and we recieved the same news not ready The manager came out and appologized and told us that we were going to upgraded and that this new room is ready for us, We headed up to that new room that is ready and when we opened the door the room was a suite GREAT we thought but there are no sheets on this bed !! (where are all the sheets) went down to the sevice desk and told them about this problem they call housekeeping and were told that our sheets are on their way, Finally our sheets are on the bed. room was OK but the furniture seemed alittle old there were many switches that didnt turn anything on in this room the jacuzzi air switch did not work and the shower head in the shower leaked pretty bad. The real shame is that it is a nice looking Hotel but the care of this property lacks some serious attention, I would not recommend this hotel to anybody. What is ironic though is what is printed on your room key "Enjoy Your Stay" We did not

This was our third time at the Plaza in the last three years. Check in was very smooth and we were given a partial ocean view. The room was clean, the bedding and bathroom were fine. We ordered a rollaway bed and it was delivered immediately. The service and quality of the restaurants were very good. We did feel that the price of the hotel for a Saturday night of $350 was not fair. At that price our expectation is the Four Seasons or the Ritz Carlton, the Trump Plaza is NOT a five star hotel but a solid 3.5. I agree with other posters that the noise from the beach bar is very annoying until 12 midnight. Otherwise, our stay was fine, but a bit overpriced. Note that if you are staying Sunday thru Thursday that you can get a rate of between $99 and $150 which is much closer to what the value of the hotel really is. We prefer the Sheraton, but we wanted to be on the Boardwalk.

Paid $99 for 1 night Deluxe room w/AAA discount in the East Tower. We were upgraded to a beach front room. The room was very nice. Had a king size bed. Was just a little scuffed up from suitcases bumping the wall. Most hotels experience this. Bathroom was large. Shower didn't have too much water pressure. Bed was really comfy but the pillows were feather pillows that squashed flat. My husband and I would stay here again. The beach bar was fun. A band was playing on Tuesday night. We went out for drinks. There wasn't a cover charge. We went out to the beach bar again on Wed. for lunch. We ate dinner at P.F.Chang's at Tropicana on Tue night. Prices are really reasonable there compared to other restaurants in A.C.
