Ah, money!

Harrah's is one of the many Casino Hotels that really do put everything into one building!

I took my mother and best friend to Atlantic City and we stayed during the week for two nights and loved it! They happen to have several 'towers' where the rooms are and we had a room in the newly
"Bayview Tower". This is the hotel's newest tower, with the most spacious rooms in Atlantic City. The rooms featured a Harrah's
"sleep-easy matress," 32-inch TV, additional seating and other great amenities.

The view from the window was stunning! We stayed on the 20th Floor.

'Food Wise'
Temptation hits at any hour. 'Reflections Cafe' is open 24 hours a day. Crisp, fresh salads, sandwiches, home-cooked entrees, plus brick-oven pizzas, and breakfast 'round-the-clock.

I had been to the casino once and won money and enjoyed a Springsteen tribute band at the bar (I think it's called the Eden Lounge). Plus, we saw The Rat Pack is Back, which I loved. By all means that was a great night...

Next time in AC, we decided to stay at Harrah's. First off, there were less than 10 people in line ahead of us and we waited for almost an HOUR!!!

We were given a harbour room which was good sized, but could definately use a new bad (the springs on the mattress were very evident and uncomfortable). Oh...and the bathroom was terrible...completely dark. I later found out that there were newer tower rooms which seems nicer and more modern. Now, I know...

Harrah's has Kiosk's set up where you swipe your card to redeem your bonus points. I don't like this at all. At The Borgata, for example, your comps go to your card automatically. Harrah's makes you wait in line at the kiosk, so you can print out a voucher and then have to wait in line at the cashier. Seems to be a slow moving place in general...

Lost lots of money on the casino floor this time around. :( But, I'm not new to gambling, so I've come to expect that you win some, lose some... Just watch the trips to the ATM!

Band was good again. I really enjoy the Eden Lounge. It's got a good friendly atmosphere.

The buffet was expensive for lunch, so we decided to go to Reflections Cafe. Waited in line for about 20 minutes (what's with Harrah's and their lines???)...meal was basic, American fare. Nothing to complain about. We had a seat by the window which was nice.

So, to make a long story short...check out the casino and the Eden Lounge, but stay and eat elsewhere. (However...from what I've read, it seems like ALL AC hotel/casinos are the same except for Borgata..where it's prettier but over priced.)

My husband and I stayed at the Atlantic City Harrah's for his birthday ( 4/16-4/19). For the most part it was so-so. We were taking advantage of the $59 night rate wich was ok. But there was a couple of times my husband had been given a hard time for no apparent reason by two different staff members. Overall, I would not go back to Harrah's. I'd rather save up my money and stay at the Taj Mahal.

I have stayed here twice with my 10 year old niece. We are only 1 hour away and it is a great getaway for us. The rooms are clean & updated. The beds are comfortable, and we have always had a great view of the ocean and other casinos. The indoor pool is always clean and I can see where all the families hang out! We always have breakfast at Reflections, and it is excellent, as well as priced good. The most important thing is that the staff is always helpful and friendly.
