Harrah's is a great updated hotel off the Boardwalk. The renovations are awesome. Great updated slot machines, clean, great bars, great restaurants, and nice comfortable rooms.

The room itself is average size, but nice comfortable bed, and clean bathrooms. Elevators to all the towers are not far from the casino floors (like in some other hotels), and so very convenient.

The restaurants are good (didn't try the buffet though). Harrah's is in the middle of building a food court which will be really convenient for a fast snack when the restaurants get full during busy weekends. The Cafe is great place for breakfast (but the line does get long).

There are several bars in the hotel, so there are definitely no problems getting a drink. The bars are great, and one bar has live music every night and all the bars have great decor and very modern.

The only downfall of this hotel is its location, a few miles off the main Boardwalk in Atlantic City. The hotel location is not walkable to any other casinos. Valet parking is fast and convenient, so it wasn't too much of a hassle to get of the hotel to drive to the other casinos for sightseeing.

This hotel was very comfortable, but next time I would probably stay on the boardwalk where a lot more action is going on.

We had a comped room at Harrahs for February 10th at the Marina Tower 16th (top floor) 16004 Apparently, so did everybody else because the hotel was FULL in advance of the Valentine's Day Holiday.

The Marina Tower location is central and the elevators to the room were stylish. The hallways were pop-style with Manhattan photo art which continues to the room. Our room had two large beds, flat screen television & a beautiful view of the bays. There was a high quality of furnishing. Marble top furniture and a fridge. The beds were sooo comfortable! I hated to get out of bed in the morning. Nice pillows.

Gripes: elevators were dirty and not cleaned of garbage for at least a couple of days. No soap, shampoo or coffee pot in our room. Bird Poo on the window. Both beds had flat sheets with tears exceeding one inch. The TV had "snow." We had our room set at 64 degrees and it was really hot and dry in there and this was on an 11 degree windy day. But this is holding up to an idealistic standard, in my opinion. How a hotel can have this many rooms that they literally give away in slow times is beyond me. We ate on premesis but I will review that in the dining section.

By the POOL, the little taste of the shore food court was up and running, and the new Reflections was in training with cranked up furnishing and lighting setting the scene.

The pool was great as usual, the highlight of the visit. Parking was free. We had a lot of good service. Once this construction is finished I think they will be back on track and so crazy hopping with business that there will be no need to give away rooms. So for now, I'm enjoying the freebies.

  • Liked — The pool and beds
  • Disliked — Sprawling property and parking distance

Harrah's can finally call itself a resort! You never really have to leave the property at Harrah's in Atlantic City because they have everything your looking for on their property! The restaurants, entertainment, gambling, shopping, bars, pools (both adult only and family), spa and more....

We have stayed here before, but have not been back for a couple of years. My how things change when you have a little competition (aka the Borgata) Harrah's has really stepped up their game.

They have added new restaurants and their buffet is more than a buffet. Can you call a buffet fine dining? Well, if you could/would, this would fit in the category. There were many stations of various foods that could be cooked to order in front of you. Including, steak, pasta, asian, sushi, seafood, etc. (I will post a seperate dining review with more details)

All of the rooms have been upgraded and many stores for those who love to shop, but the pool is the greatest addition in my opinion.

The pool is large and under an atrium surrounded by many whirlpools. A great tropical escape year round.

The rooms were average and spacious. However, the matress was too soft for my liking and the noise from the heavy metal doors cause for some interrupted sleep. Other than that, everything else was above average and we would definitely return to Harrahs over their other properties.

  • Liked — It has everything on the property, food, shops, entertainment, pool, etc...
  • Disliked — The mattress too soft and the room was a bit noisy.

Stayed at Harrahs in Ac and although I was to arrive around 3pm, I arrived around 8pm instead. Harbor towers are the oldest but are my favorite. My 1st choice is two beds and 2nd is close to
elevators. I got Bayview opposite end of hall from the elevators. AC was on, switched to heat. I must remember that Harrahs has the worst cable selection. I forgot my cellphone and since I
wanted to call my niece, I decided to go ahead and make a long distance call. BIG MISTAKE!!! Harrahs marks up the long distance calls 45% OVER operator assisted calls. Complained to the manager and got the markup deleted but the call still was expensive enough to wipe out any gains I made on the casino floor. Arrive early for a better choice.

We stayed on a Sunday night ($89)-- supposed to be in Bayview Tower, but we arrived early in the afternoon, and they had a room availabe in Marina, so we took it.

As someone else mentioned, it is a lengthy walk through the casino from the self park garage to the check-in area.

Bayview tower is closest to the pool, but the Marina was not a much farther walk, I think the other tower ( Harbour?) would have been the farthest. Also,, they are still doing renovations on the Bayview tower, and it looks like a food court and new restaurant will soon be opening.

Our room in Marina Tower was non-smoking and smelled fine. The room was clean, furnishings in good shape, decorated in neutral tones, pleasant. We were on the 9th floor, and could hear faint construction noise on Mon morning-- I think it would have been worse on lower floors as there were construction machinery in use on the street level, on the back side.

The reason I chose this property was because of an article I saw in a newspaper describing the pool area--- and I was not disappointed. The glass dome and tropical landscaping made it feel close to being outdoors--- but warm--- not January 30something degrees. The pool water was not cold or hot, just perfect. On Sunday pm, it took some effort to find 2 lounge chairs together, but the pool area was not overcrowded, and Monday am was even better. There are free locker/changing areas off the pool area .

We did not try the shuttle to the boardwalk, as we were just there one night, and did not feel the need to leave the property.

I felt the buffet was pricey for a casino ($29)--- the main features were crab legs, steak, prime rib, salmon, mongolian barbecue, made to order pasta and a good variety on the dessert bar. Eat enough of certain things, and I guess you can get your money's worth.

I would not hesistate to stay here again.
