We booked this room on Priceline using the "make an offer" feature for a 2-star hotel. This is not a 2-star hotel in my opinion. When we arrived, we were given a room on the second floor that was already being occupied. So we went back to the front desk and there were no other rooms available in that part of the hotel. (The "Front Desk" is in a separate buiding beside the hotel and not in the lobby of the actual hotel. You literally have to go OUTSIDE to get to the "front desk".) We were then moved to the "lakefront view" MOTEL part of the hotel. This hotel doubles as a motel with two separate buildings - one hotel building and one motel building. We walked across the parking lot to the MOTEL and our keys did NOT work. Our room was on the second floor so we had to carry our luggage up a flight of steps. So back to the front desk we went...AGAIN. Finally, 30 minutes after arriving @ 3:00 a.m., we got into a room. The carpet needed vacuumed and there was hair in the shower. The bedspreads were dirty and the blankets underneath the bedspreads were extremely old with holes in them. The remote to the TV did not work. The beds were stiff & extremely uncomfortable. The room is very drafty & the heater had to be run full blast to keep warm. I ran out of hot water in the shower and had to finish showering with cold water. If you are a female, shave your legs before you go because there isn't enough hot water to shower & shave. The cleaning staff were walking into other people's room after knocking but not getting an answer from the occupants, probably because they were sleeping. VERY DISTURBING!!! I had asked for a King bed/smoking room and got two DOUBLE beds in a nonsmoking room. The front desk clerk even argued that I did NOT request a king bed, which I did as witnessed by my husband who heard the entire conversation. The clerk arguing with me was actually the person I spoke to the night before we arrived when I called requesting the king bed/smoking room.

The "hotel" building that we were originally supposed to stay in smelled horrible!!! This place is VERY worn, very old, and needs A LOT of work. Renovations will not help....it should be torn down & rebuilt.

If you cannot afford to stay at a nicer place than the Ramada Limited, cancel your trip!!! This hotel isn't worth $5.00 a night and certainly not worth the $184.44 that I paid to stay there.

We arrived on Friday Dec 2. First thing that went wrong was they gave us a room that already has someone in it. The rooms were very musty smelly the heater did not work. We asked for a refridgerator and it was very dirty. The staff did try to make it up to us, we had a chance to look at other rooms to see if we like them. The appearance of the place is a big turn off because they are renovating so it is not in the best appearance, i think that they should close the hotel while they renovate. The room was clean enough and the bathroom was also clean. Overall i would not stay there again you really get what you paid for. Spend a few more dollars and stay at a better hotel.

hole in the carpet/ lamp at the desk didnt work/sat. after housekeeping left they let 3 lights on and the curtains completely open when we came back late you could look in the window and see all of our personal items were exposed for everyone to see/they took the basket with the soap&shampoo and never let any new soap only about 6 foam cups so we had no soap or shampoo to shower with/cont. brkfast food, coffee and juice was really terrible we threw what we had away and went somewhere else for brkfst. when we asked fri. night about shuttle service for sat. girl did not know times told us to call back in the morning but we were going to leave early so we had to take our car and pay for parking because we couldnt get times to make plans the night before/hotel details says bay view available. couldnt see the bay from our room with all of the trees and bushes in the way. definately will not stay there again and suggest nobody else does either.

Check in was 4 pm. We arrived a little after that and went to get our room. The front desk was prompt, but gave us keys for a smoking room. I have bad allergies and smoke bothers me. I had requested a non-smoking room when I booked online. The front desk told me that "non-smoking is a preference" which I have never heard of. He said there was nothing they could do about the room because they were completely booked except send housekeeping to difuse the smell. When we got the the room, it had 2 double beds instead of the king I requested and smelled smoky. Upon returning to the front desk, he fixed that problem and gave us a different room with the correct bed size. The room was very stuffy, although the smoke smell was not too bad. While the price was not too bad, I would recommend the Clarion Hotel down the street for a similar price and much nicer stay.
