“A nice weekend stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2014 via mobile

Friendly staff, parking, good location and what a view from the 23 floor. And a good price compared to the casino hotels. Clean, comfortable bed, In room kitchenette. Can' give it 5 stars because it a little dated, but it has everything we needed and would stay there again

4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2013

My husband and I just returned from a 3 night stay at the Bluegreen at Atlantic Palace. It was wonderful, and we would definitely go back. Our timeshare trade was for a week, but we could only stay for 3 nights. We wish we could have stayed longer.

I must admit, I was VERY worried after reading several reviews with lots of negatives about the resort. Hesitantly, we decided to give it a chance.

We were given a very spacious unit on the 26th floor with amazing views of the boardwalk and ocean! The views were simply breathtaking. I enjoyed the view a lot, daytime and nighttime. The room was an updated room. It was nicely decorated. The small kitchen was perfect for us while we were there. It also had a large bathroom.

The beds were a little on the harder side. Firm mattress, definitely. Maybe brand new?? But nothing that made our stay miserable. I would say that the large tub with jets and the surrounding area was our only negative. The water pressure was great in the shower. But the way the water hit the side of the oversized tub caused the water to leak out of the tub and the surrounding area was not the greatest. The tiles by the floor were falling off. There were some grout issues. Put it this way, I would not sit and soak in that jetted tub, but for a shower it was fine.

The staff at Bluegreen was wonderful. The people behind the counter were fantastic and friendly. Adrien at the desk was so helpful and an asset to the company. A security guard with the same name was also very friendly and helpful, always politely welcoming us, and calling us a cab when needed.

The resort is located on the boardwalk, about a 5 minute walk to Bally's. The door to the boardwalk locks at 11, but you can just walk down the ramp on the side of the building to the main door after hours.

Of course, the pool was closed, since it's an outdoor pool, but I'm sure it's a nice spot when the weather is warmer. We would definitely like to go back and experience this great place in the warmer weather, but would also go back for a quick winter getaway.

This is my 2nd year at Atlantic Palace BlueGreen in Atlantic city. The room I have this year is completely renovated and nice. Small but cozy. The bed was comfortable. The partial kitchen is small. It includes microwave, mini-stove and a small refrigerator. The front desk worker and security workers are very helpful and friendly. It is located on a "dark" block in A.C. however, most of Atlantic City could be considered "suspect." Ask for an updated room and you will be fine!! It is suitable for a week long getaway. Save-a-lot is about 4 blocks away. 7-eleven is up the street and it is about a 10-minute walk to Ballys casino.

Room Tip: An updated room on the higher level floors

i had a bad feeling about this hotel from the other reviews and decided to give it a shot any way and what a mistake! I go to Atlantic City about 4-5 times a year and have comped rooms at all the ceasars locations and tropicana. My boyfriend and I decided to stay here for our anniversary and pay for a room for two nights because of the pictures of the room and the view and having a kitchen and Jacuzzi tub. This hotel really ruined our trip.

We first got there late around 10 oclock at night and there was NO ONE to be found, they had to find a maintenance guy to check us into our room the whole process took about 25 minutes, already annoyed we walked into the DIRTIEST SMELLIEST most DISGUSTING room, the stench was like old i don't even know how to explain it, it was NOTHING what the pictures described nor were the views, so many little things were broken, the Jacuzzi tub you couldn't have paid me to get in it was so disgusting, and the tv did not work at all. and the bed is a ROCK HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE

The next day i went downstairs to ask for another room and the lady at the front wasn't the friendliest but wasn't rude, after some discussion she said she could place us into another room. The second room was MUCH better, it was a little bigger to. It felt clean and the view was much better (still was not getting in the Jacuzzi because that still looked disgusting).

The location of this hotel on the boardwalk is not horrible its a little bit of a walk to the mall and ballys but we like walking so we had no problem. Our problem was getting back to the hotel at night....(we took one of those guys with a cart from Bally's to the hotel) the outside door has a key swiper for your room key which is great makes the hotel more secure BUT apparently they do not use that because they lock the door completely so now it is POURING WINDY rain and we have to walk down the boardwalk about 4 stores only to walk down the most sketchiest ally to get into the hotel. Obviously FURIOUS we spoke our mind and the lady at the front desk (who was for the other hotel they share not Atlantic palace) was the NASTIEST most rude person. Blew our mind they had a security guard in there front entrance (which is hard to explain but its very weird) but not from the entrance from the boardwalk instead they make you walk down this ally where it looks like someone would get jumped or murdered.

They have NO convenience store or any type of food. there is a deli that is attached and is so expensive its mind blowing. The parking garage is the biggest pain to...no elevators.

ONLY thing we liked about this hotel was this elderly man who ran the parking garage. Sweetest person!

Do your self the favor....save your money time and aggravation and stay else where. Tropicana is ALWAYS a GREAT experience

Room Tip: we really didn't like either of our rooms.

I had a bad feeling about this hotel the moment I arrived and was told by the front desk that I need to check in down the hall through a small office. The person there was unfriendly. I had to sign a form agreeing to pay for any damages made in the room and I had to pay a $10 fee for the keys. I already left a $100 security deposit during the time I made the reservation. I was told by the person that this is a "private property", I did not feel like I was staying at a hotel.
The room was very bare and uninviting. There were signs in the bathroom and kitchen mentioning there will be charges for any missing towels or other items.

I selected this resort and location because my RCI points were about to expire.
So I used the room for a business trip.

This hotel is in the middle of a facelift. The. Resort room I had was renovated. But it's a patch job renovation. It does not appear to be professional done. Yes, my room had some issues. Nothing I could not live with. Currently this is a "C" class hotel. Like an older Best Western. But I could see the improvements being made in the lobby and business center.

The staff was outstanding. Better than some of the name brand casinos in the area.
Tenia was the best. I would return to the resort just because of her. Tenia's service made up for the things I did not care for at the resort.

Area around hotel and lobby looks a bit dingy. It is one of if not the last hotel on the boardwalk. There is a little alley-way on the side of the hotel that looks very dirty and unsafe, especially since the hotel keys does not work on the doors located in that area.
Check in staff was very unprofessional. You check in at a little booth which is hard to find especially since the closed sign is displayed on the door even though they're open. Can be very misleading especially late at night.
Parking lot is very tight and there are no elevators.
Rooms were clean and spacious, with awesome views of the beach and the boardwalk. Only queen size beds though and they are quite firm.
With the right owner hotel has a lot of potential but as it stands right now no one seems to care much about that.
