My family got an exceptional rate through Expedia for a four night stay here. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the showboat, but they really need to pay better attention to the cleanliness and servicing of their guestrooms.

We were in the Bourbon Tower, which is the newer tower, but we experienced bed bugs on our first night. I had three bites and my husband had two. Thankfully, the kids did not get bitten in their bed. After contacting guest services, we were transferred several times. We finally spoke with a manager and although they never offered an apology, they switched our room. The 2nd room was much better for the duration of our stay.

I read other reviews about the Showboat and bed bugs and thought "what are the chances?" This was the first time ever in my travels I experienced this. I would have thought management would have been more apologetic, but that didn't happen.

Would I discourage people from staying here? Probably not, but they really need to address this problem. My family would not stay here again.

Also, their buffet is only opened on certain evenings. I found that really strange. What Vegas buffet is only open at certain times on certain days? Only in AC.

No wireless internet either. Only in AC

The Showboat needs to get their act together. Could be a great place, if these things were addressed!!

Because I don't get how so many people enjoy coming to the Showboat(including myself) for concerts and games,etc. and have to stay in rooms with dirty carpets and furniture that looks like a hungry animal has mistaken it for a piece of raw meat. You're sold out every wknd and most times during the week and I don't see that many people hitting the jackpot so why can't the facilities be nicer. I have stayed at the Caesar's and Tropicana and find the rooms mucher cleaner and nicer, bedmattresses were also better for rest/sleep. In your favor I have to say that I saw this problem only with the Deluxe level rooms. I had a very nice stay in a Premium room once. Sorry I just had to tell you this- . PJB

We had 2 rooms for 4 nights. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was so helpful and friendly. The only thing that I didnt like was the fact that it was so far from most of the stores and restaurants. Also, the only casino that we didnt see anyone win anything worth while.

Showboat was clean with very informative staff. FYI - go to the hotel's web site to book the best price. For a cheap place to eat on the boardwalk try Bill's. For a great Italian dinner try Angelo's on 2300 Fairmount Ave by taxi. Its sooooo worth the trip.
