“Decent stay for a night...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013

Seeing a concert at the Showboat - HOB is always a pleasure, small, intimate, good accoustics.

Having stayed in both the standard rooms and the HOB suites, I've enjoyed both.
The HOB suite is a bit pricey and I would recommend it for a place to party beforte and after a show with a group of people (6).
Always clean and never a problem finding your way around the hotel and casino.

Got a premium none smoking room and when I got into to room the smell of smoke was so bad I could not take it, so I called front desk and told them they put me in smoking room and they told me it was a none smoking room and asked me if I want house keeping to come spray the room? they came and sprayed the rug (as though they do this all the time) and that's when I found out, it USE to be a smoking, the entire building was smoking, showered, got dressed, went out and stayed out all night because I could not go back to that room it was giving me a head ach because the smell was so bad and I knew there was no way I was going to get a room on a Friday night in AC that late.
My pick Chelsea, revel, Borgata, Sheraton, Golden nugget

Room Tip: Stay some place else, I could not get better, I was already in premium room, I could only go down fr...

I really don't understand the negative reviews here. We stayed two nights in the Orleans Towner (accessible room), 11th floor, and the room was spotless. Sure the hotel is older, and not fancy but it suited us just fine. Really liked that the casino was brightly lit, so that you could actually see how much money you were winning or losing, lol. Good location and easy connecting walkway to the Taj. I think there are some really picky people here.

This was our first time to Atlantic City and we stayed at the Showboat
Casino Hotel. We had a GREAT TIME!! This hotel was very good.
We had a very nice room with king size bed. The room was very clean
and the housekeeping employees were excellent with their service and
always there asking if we needed anything. All employees at this hotel
were wonderful. The only complaint that we would have is the water pressure
in the shower is not good. But other than that, we will return to this Hotel.

Room Tip: We liked having an end room. Not so much noise with people coming and going.

The room was very clean, large and the bed was very comfortable. I like the Mardi Gras theme in the casino. Its not a huge place, so its easy to navigate. The poker room is very nice with a view of the boardwalk. Its one of my "go to" spots in AC.

My son is a college athlete and needs to work out each day, but the maximum weight in the fitness room is 50 lbs, so that was completely worthless. The pool was small and crowded, the carpets in the halls were dirty, and they wouldn't let us use a luggage cart to take our bags to our room. But the worst part was that there was work being done on the beach in front of the hotel, so there was no beach access without walking several blocks. That should have been posted on the web site. The whole point of staying at a beachfront hotel is to have access to the beach. So many better choices.

Went on a mini trip to AC. Booked three rooms and had a terrific time. We had a few issues in the beginning, but Donna at the front desk took care of everything immediately. Room was nice, maids were outstanding with our needs. Rooms could use a bit more clean up and hall rugs really in need of replacing. Made the place look very dirty. But the room was basic for our needs. After check out one of our members had to go to the hospital and when they returned the Showboat staff made sure she was taken care of until she was able to leave. (Meant so much that they cared) Big thank you for that!!!! Would stay again but might try somewhere other than the Orleans tower.....
