This place is great. Not the newest or the most beautiful hotel in A?C, but they treat you right.
The room was fantastic
.... 18th floor with a great view of the ocean, spotlessly clean and quiet, didn't so much as hear traffic or horn blowing.
They accommodated all our needs and requests including the ocean view even at the promo price that frankly, was less than the Holliday Inn X more than 10 miles from the water.
We never get tired of walking the boards and even rode the push push cart . this guy pushed us from the ocean one mall back to Showboat protecting us from the cold late night wind and only charged us 10 bucks.
Cant wait to come back. By the way, we own a vacation home 20iles south but come to the SB to stay while its closed up for the winter

I went there for a concert at the House of Blues which is attached to the hotel. I got a real good rate in the middle of the week. We stayed in the older Bourbon tower. The room was VERY clean. The casino was bright and clean and the staff was very friendly. It is also right next door to the newest Hotel and Casino called The Revel. A really classy Vegas style casino with a Burlesque Lounge. The only thing critical I would have to say about the stay is every time someone flushed a toilet in any rooms above us you could hear it.

I stayed at hotel in the north tower in a smokeing room it was ok needs remodleing but for the price not bad a for a night getaway i would not stay next time in the north tower maybe anther tower we used the pool and steam room very clean.

The Showboat is a good hotel. It is at the far end of the boardwalk, so a far walk to get down to the other hotels and activities.

Couple of issues: check in is very slow and there is a windown of check in from 4 PM to 8 PM and no guarantee you will have a room if you arrive after 8 PM. We have an event to attend, so had to hurry back to make it b 8 PM. We tried checking in at 3 PM, but the line was so long and there were few people at the desk. Not sure what happens after 8 PM, do they give your room away to someone else and charge you for a "no show", if yes, that is a scam.

Parking is $10.00, which has always been an issue. The whole AC taxes, fees and parking make it so much more expensive to go there for 1 or 2 nights. No wonder why they are failing. Get rid of all this stuff and make it easy for people to come down and actually pay the rate they think they are getting.

Overall the hotel is very clean and nice; beds were just too soft for me and though clean, could have been better. Not sure if I would stay again.
