Who: 46 y/o Female
When: 2 nights in Nov. 2008
Why: Attending conference at AC Convention Center
Where: Centurion Towers, Room 4014
This is my third stay at Caesars Atlantic City (to attend the same conference) and I stayed 2 nights this time, sharing the room with a colleague. Wow - they did a great job renovating the rooms in the Centurion Towers! I thought the room was fine last year but they have completely redecorated the rooms and the hallways and everything is new and looks great! (Although, personally, I don't care for the orange/brown color scheme in the hallways - 70s colors).
We had two full sized beds (pretty comfortable, lots of pillows), flat screen TV, wireless internet ($9.99 per day but we didn't use it), plenty of closet and drawer space, small fridge, coffee maker, in room safe with changeable combination and table with 2 lounge chairs.
The bathroom was big with a frosted sliding glass door and separate solid door to the toilet area, only a shower stall (but it was quite large and the showerhead was strong), and large vanity area with good counterspace.
A very cool feature was a built-in TV screen in the bathroom mirror! Never saw anything like it before and I actually watched an AM program while brushing my teeth, etc.
The room was very clean, made up each day by the time we returned to the room in the PM. Very quiet - did not hear any noise from other rooms or the hallway.
Location - right in the middle of the boardwalk, attached to the Pier which has some great shops and restaurants (so you do not have to walk outside and it was very cold when we were there) and also attached to both Bally's Wild West and Bally's Park Place casinos.
It is a few blocks walking distance to the Convention Center and you pass all of the outlet stores which had great buys (especially the Coach store!). We used the conference shuttle service because of the cold weather and that was easy to use and find.
It cost only $5.00 total to have my car valet parked for the entire stay (checked in Tuesday night and checked out Thursday morning), not even $5.00 per night.
Only drawback - it is a LONG walk from the lobby to the elevators for the rooms and when you are carting your own luggage (even on wheels), it is a LONG walk!
Overall, I would definitely stay here again! Rate was $239 per night and I heard that people who stay here on a "comp" by the hotel do not stay in the Centurion Tower and do not get as nice a room.
