I booked a luxury room. When I arrived with my grandmother for her birthday along with my aunt who was staying a night, we were dumped in a broom closet in the Claridge. My aunt was told they would not have a room for her until 5PM. My aunt was getting afixiated from the bleach smell from the bathroom in room 1932 while she was waiting with us until they had her room ready. My grandmother has breathing trouble and the smell was aggravating her breathing. I booked my room months in advance. We went downstairs to complain since the phone had no front desk button and the operator gave me to a person that does not pick up the phone. They told me that they usually give people what ever room is available regardless of what they booked. I feel you should get what I booked well in advance. Then they wanted to put us in a smoking room when we requested non-smoking since my grandmother has trouble breathing. Saundra told me to hang on a moment. She said there were no luxury rooms available although she upgraded me to a Premium Room. She gave the smoking room to my aunt. We were all placed in the Bally's purple tower. The room was much nicer and larger and there is a front desk button on the phone with someone who actually answers. They give you shampoo and conditioner, although you have to call housekeeping to get mouthwash. In addition, they never told me I needed the slips they gave me at check-in to use for the casino shuttle or beach bar. The lady who dumped me in the Claridge Tower told me they were for the Spa. There are not enough restaurants to eat at and you have to wait on a long line for usually at least a half hour. Only one elevator was working most of the time therefore, guests who just arrived were lined up all the way near the casino. Overall, Bally's is very unorganized and short staffed. The casino pit managers were busy yapping instead of entering the players card information thus causing the table players to loose credits. If you stay here and have a problem, see Saundra at the front desk, she is extremely helpful and should be commended. I will try Caesar's next time even though they are also owned by Harrah's since their restaurants and casino seem much more organized.
