“What a great selection!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Wow, the breakfast buffet here was terrific. We stayed for over an hour and were not rushed. Back for seconds and thirds. Our party of 4 enjoyed the friendly service and the great selection of breakfast items which seemed unlimited! Everything was so delicious especially the made to order omelets! You will love this buffet which also serves lunch and dinner at reasonable prices.

“Terrible value for what you get”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

The buffet was way over priced for what you get. The snow crab is way too much work for the little you get and the only other seafood is peel and eat or fried shrimp. Very tiny buffet for paying $28. People are quite rude and kept cutting in line in front of you. The Asian portion of the buffet was quite terrible and the desserts were really so-so. Overall super disappointed.

“Do not even think about it!!!!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2013

We went on a Sunday evening and I still regret it a week later. If this place was $8 a person it might be an OK deal. But it's not, its $30 a person for below average food. The miniature crab-legs did not look worth the effort. The only other seafood on the "Surf and Turf" buffet was fried shrimp, mussels, and baby clams; all three of which were warm at best. Grey steak and very fatty prime ribs. The entire buffets temperature of foods was off, warm food. Avoid this place at all costs.

Tried to eat at this location twice and closed both times during the week. Casino would not honor coupons at other restaurants within casino.

“Breakfast WAY too expensive”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

Luckily, we had comp so we didn't have to fork out cash for this breakfast. For $20 EACH, the breakfast buffet is way overpriced. When they rang it up, I almost keeled over! $40 for 2 people??? Wow
Anyway, the food was ok, but the 2 guys at the omelet station are totally too loud and boisterous.
Management ought to tell them to cool it with all that jiving at the top of their lungs. Most people just want to eat in peace & not have to listen to that noise.
We also had a comp for 2 free surf & turf buffets on Friday night. OK, sounds great, doesn't it?? NOT!.....The line was at least 1 1/2 hours just to get seated. The line extended clear out to the end of the casino building. So many people could be heard grumbling about the wait, many just left and ate elsewhere. We never even got into the line. Seems the Trop could come up with another less hassle-free comp. ie, free buffet on any night. It sure would cut down on the ridiculous line. FWIW, if the Trop is trying to lure people down there, the should realize the more time spent in lines means less time gambling. Duh.
Go to the Seaside restaurant upstairs for a better and cheaper breakfast.
