My friend and I arrived late Thursday evening at the Skyline Towers. The front desk staff, bellhops, and valet were very helpful and courteous. After reading a previous review, I wasnt sure what the neighborhood would be like, its not that bad (right next to Taj & Resorts), though I wouldnt suggest roaming the streets of AC at night. You'll be fine during the day. My friend forgot her contIact solution and toothbrush, Skyline Towers has a small store at the front desk to purchase those items which was very helpful at midnight and you really need to take out your contacts.

I did have to speak to a timeshare rep, and we scheduled an appt for Fri morning for a 30 min survey. Needless to say, Friday morning rolled around and they called my room constantly starting at a half hour before my appointment to make sure I was up to attend their pointless meeting. I didnt answer the phone, just ignored it. Best idea ever. Avoid those people at all costs. Upon attending the preso, they were giving $30 or comedy show tix.

The room was spacious and clean. No bed bugs. Giant balcony and a great view from the 30th floor. My friend and I brought food from home in a cooler so we could cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner for ourselves.

In the mornings we walked to the Outlets (about a 1 mile walk towards the expressway) and in the afternoon we used the Skyline Tower gym and pool. The gym has 2 treadmills, 2 bikes, yoga mats, plenty of free weights, stability balls, and a universal machine. It all the equipment needed for a good workout. I was impressed. My friend and I had the pool to ourselves which was nice. There was also a hot tub there too. It the summer it looks like the roof opens and there is a hot tub outside too. The pool is open until 10pm, definately take advantage of it! There are also many events going on in the activity center (bingo, make overs, free popcorn, free coffee, billiards, etc.) There was even a laundry mat there, too.

At night, we went to Harrah's. We took the #2 Jitney, which picks up right across the street. It was about a 15 min ride. Cost is $2. Very safe. Seems like the Jitneys run pretty often too. If thats not your style, there are also many taxis all over the place, and the front desk staff even offered to call some for us if we needed it.

Sunday morning, a few hours before checkout, I received ANOTHER time share phone call. This time I answered and told them I didnt want to attend and they left me alone. Check out was smooth, they slipped my bill under my door and as long as I was ok with the balance I was free to leave.

Skyline Towers is great for quality time with girlfriends or your significant other. You can save alot of money cooking in your room, even if its just breakfast and lunch and snacks. Its easy to find and close to many casinos and the boardwalk.

  • Liked — Close to boardwalk and other casinos
  • Disliked — Elevators took too long to get to 30th floor

This was a nice get away spot. Nothing fancy, but much more comfortable and spacious than a hotel room. My teen daughter and her friend managed to stay entertained in there pool area, small game room & ping pong area. The resort offered movie rentals, but my husband was disappointed about only having 1 dvd player in the living room and none in the bedrooms. We liked this most because there was much more to do other than gamble. The boardwalk, beach, IMAX Theater and many shopping opportunities were all just minutes away.

  • Liked — It was central to every type of entertainment, ie beach, boardwalk, shopping
  • Disliked — No dvd in the bedrooms.

If you are a timeshare owner RCI rates this place as Gold Crown, but it is not really up to that standard. Rooms need to be updated somewhat. I was a little disappointed by the area that the Wyndam is situated. When is Atlantic City ever going to spruce up the surrounding blocks so that you can feel safe enough to walk around any hour after dark? As for the place itself it was okay. Not the best but not the worst. We were on the 25th floor but we still could smell the clorine in the pool. The rooms were decent but the pillows were terrible, ended up with a sore neck from no support. The elevators were not the most pleasant experience. Too small & too slow. Also, be careful hanging around outside the front of the place at night, as it is not the best area.
Valet parking attendants were very curtious as were the people at the counter in the lobby. It didn't take long to check in and check out but alot of people just hang around in the lobby. No places to eat either on the boards except if you go into the casinos. For just a weekend stay I would stay again but not for a whole week, nothing to do down in AC but lose all your money.

  • Liked — the friendly staff made the stay okay
  • Disliked — the area & some of the people that were staying there

My husband and I were going to stay overnight at one of the casino properties, but was treated to a two night stay at the Skyline Towers as a gift from my parents. We had a two bedroom suite so we could share the suite with my brother-in-laws, as we did not wish to be totally separated during our stay.

Check in and the Valet parking was a breeze, every single employee we came in contact with was polite and friendly. Our room was facing a parking lot unfortunately, so the view was not the best, however the room was clean and very attractive in it's decor - blues and greens in a contemporary style. I was also pleasantly suprised to find that the average soaps and shampoos provided by hotels was actually all Bath and Body Works Spa line products - one of my absolute favorite line of products.

My complaints of the entire stay were few, however, one was that the only garbage cans in the suite were the two tiny ones in the bathrooms, and that when the wind howled outside the noise was even louder than the heater for the room (we had a day of high winds, and one of all snow). As the winds increased, we found that the sliding door to the balcony didn't have a tight seal, and that it caused a terrible breeze in the room. Lastly the pool was over chlorinated and did burn my eyes (I am a contact wearer).

I will say that when we found out we were staying in the Skyline towers, I checked many reviews, and followed others suggestions. We asked for a lower floor, called to have valet parking ready our car, and took advantage of the activities they had planned on their sixth floor activities center.

I hope this review helps, and that you have a wonderful stay! My family and I loved this hotel, and look forward to another stay at a Wyndham hotel!

  • Liked — I loved the Decor and the products left for the guests
  • Disliked — The lack of a kitchen garbage and the drafty room

The staff was very friendly and helpful. There were problems with my reservation, but it still only took 5 minutes to check in. I didn't like paying such a high rate for parking, but after looking around it was an average rate. It does take a while for the valets to actually retrieve your car, and you cannot call down to have them get it. You must be downstairs for them to get your car. The elevators were not as slow as I expected, but my trip was during a very off peak time.
The room was nicely appointed. My only dislike like was that Wi-Fi is only available in the Lobby and on the 5th floor. Don't expect to connect from your room. The kitchen was fully appointed, and a new grocery store 4 blocks away will open soon.
This property is in the perfect spot, only one block from the boardwalk. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
