“Excellent steak, service and drinks”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2014

We ate here for our anniversary. The food was great. We both got the Filet Oliver (steak Oliver) or something to that effect. It has a filet mignon (large portion might I add) topped with crab meat and asparagus (seasonal too!) in a hollandaise sauce. Super yummy. Steak was done to perfection. I had a side of beer battered string beans, and my husband had the sautéed mushrooms. Both were excellent! I don't really eat mushrooms, and they were great!

We arrived early and had drinks at the bar during happy hr. The app's were half priced. We didn't partake in them, but we were seated near the kitchen, so we could see them go by. They looked yummy! The drinks were nearly triples, so the price was fare (four in total, $30).

Seating is tight, so a completely romantic dinner isn't doable because the tables are close together. They had music playing, and they served bread with your app's. The service was great. They asked why we were there, and they showed up with a large cupcake size cake for us (see pics).

Parking is behind the building, valet. We had to laugh because as they pulled our Honda Civic up, we observed the lot was littered with Mercedes, Lexus, Cadillac's and the like. Our meal and drinks came to about $160, then add a tip, plus tip the valet. We only dine like this once a year!.

There were a variety of people there, and some with children. So if you need to know, kids are ok. It's more family like there, so go right ahead.

Def. good.

“Great Staff Wonderful Meal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2014

Wow, a waiter that steered us to a wonderful (and reasonable) bottle of wine! We'll take two thank you. Steaks were great, pork porterhouse special was outstanding. Nice sides (don't miss those beet chips), and salads too. Pretty rooms but the walk upstairs can be tricky for some (but again, the person who confirmed our reservation asked ahead of time if stairs would be a problem.) Pricey? I guess so, but I did not feel cheated like I have felt in some of the casino restaurants.

“Very disappointing experience”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2014

This place either had a bad night or the other reviewers are over-rating it. We were invited to join four other couples to celebrate a milstone birthday. The highlight of the evening was the nice round table and the fact that we were seated immediately at the time of the reservation.
Other than that, the service was poor, waiting 20 minutes for drinks and bread. We had plenty of time to really study the menu!
Our waiter semed to be a bit "in the weeds" as they say. I had to send my soup back as it was not hot enough. Then my entree came out almost raw when I requested medium-rare. That was sent back too, but came back burnt to a crisp and inedible. They offered to get another one, but by this time the other people at our table had almost finished their entrees, so I declined and they did take it off the bill. They autmatically added a 20% tip on the total that included the tax. We sat for for 3 hours and the service was terrible. The servers (food runners) also did not know who got what. If you want to throw your money away on mediocre food and poor service-then by all means go here.
