“Food and service are great. But over priced.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2013

The food here was outstanding. The dessert was the best I might ever have had (the candy bar cake). But, dinner for two, no alchol or wine, no salad, no appetizers and a shared dessert was $180 with tip. The service was very good. The only thing odd, was the place was empty. 10 filled tables in the whole place. There was a waiter per table. but yet they sat everyone in tables next to each other in a row. No privacy at all.

“Best Steak/Meal in town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2013

American Cut is a hard place to beat in AC. Went here with my fiance, and was probably the best Meal I've ever had. The steak was perfectly cooked (loved Forgione's sauce), the twice baked potato's were amazing, the onion rings: delicious. The wedge salad, with the strips of bacon and tasty bleu cheese. Everything is well thought out and delcious, even the foccacia bread and the spread (With carrots, cream cheese, butter, and chives) they give you, was out of this world! We were enjoying the food and each others company all night, then, after dinner the manager came over to apologize for the long wait of our entree. We didn't even notice, because the food was so amazing and we thought the meal was perfectly spaced in between courses. He said he wanted to give us a dessert tray for free, so afterwards we enjoyed creative and decadent desserts that were just as good as the rest of the meal. I can't wait to go back again!!!!!

“Just What We Needed...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2013

As our beach house on the Jersey Shore was being rebuilt (thank you, Sandy), we stayed at Revel several times and ate at the bar here. The food was always excellent and there's a VERY interesting Serbian bartender who is a hoot. This time after a long day of dealing w contractors, my wife and I got a table for dinner. We had the Caesar salad - it was good, but not the best I've had (they also have a lettuce wedge which is amazing), we ordered the Porterhouse for two - it came perfectly done Medium Well - at other places sometimes you order it and it arrives crisped, but not here. Sides were creamed spinach - good, but didn't need the cheese on top and Collard Greens with bacon bits - wonderful. (Their wild mushroom side is also great.) Steak was expensive ($110) but we could share it, desert was a popcorn ice-cream sundae - a very unique taste. Our server was very friendly and attentive - this is a great place. Yes it's expensive and can be loud, but for a special occasion, it's terrific.

“Disappointed to say the least”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2013

Very disappointed in my meal. Everything was very heavy with SALT!! I could not eat my $42 steak. I returned it when another was brought out it was even heavier with SALT!! And over cooked asked for medium-rare and it was medium-well. My wife got the fixed menu. She could not eat the creamed spinach that she chose from the fixed menu. We did dine with another couple whom also had returned their meals as well. Our waiter did not seem to care that we were not happy with our meal and did nothing to make us happy from the disappointment we all had. The Manager did not ever sleek to us we were told he was busy
